Cancelled Booking Dispute
I had a really crappy experience with my booking getting cancelled, and then I saw that the place was up for rent again but at a higher price. They tried to tell me that I had cancelled it myself, but I know for sure I was fast asleep at 2am. I was super suspicious but felt like I had no choice 'cause the company said they couldn't do anything since I paid the host directly.
Flight booking issue
I was totally shocked by the terrible customer service I got when I had an issue with my flight reservation. The booking reference they gave me was wrong, so I couldn't check if my flight was confirmed, do online check-in, or make any changes. Even though they were the ones who booked my flight, they wouldn't help me fix the problem. That kind of service is just not okay, especially since I travel a lot. I definitely won't be using this company again, and I recommend others to book directly to avoid the same problems.
Flight tickets to China
So I was looking for a cheap flight to China and came across this website that looked really promising. The flight was advertised as only £449.99 for a round trip, which was such a great deal! I went through all the booking process, picked out my seats, used my credit card to pay, and then BOOM! Out of nowhere, the price jumped up to £890! Seriously, what a bummer. They should have been upfront with the real price right from the start, not spring it on me last minute like that. So frustrating!
Free cancellation hotel booking
I recently booked a hotel on this site that had a free cancellation option. It was too bad, but I ended up needing to cancel within that free period. Even though I gave them all the paperwork they asked for, Booking.com kept on bugging me for bank statements over and over for months. They ended up refunding the money into their own wallet system, only to take it back later. They kept sending me the same emails asking for the same documents, which was really annoying and baffling. Eventually, they wiped all traces of the booking and stopped replying to my messages.
Online booking experience
I can't believe how bold this company is, they won't take any responsibility for reservation issues. They just tell you to contact the property yourself if anything goes wrong. What's the point of using their services if they won't help you at all? Save yourself the trouble and book directly with the properties.

I booked a caravan for a weekend getaway not too long ago using a booking platform. My excitement turned into disappointment when I got a cancellation notification from the platform last minute, the day before my trip. I recently bought some travel insurance from this website that only gives you one company to choose from. Super annoying, eh, because the company they were promoting didn't even have any contact info and their website was all confusing. I was left wondering why Booking would even team up with them when they don't seem to care about helping out us customers. Booking.com should really up their game and give people more choices and sort out these problems right away, for sure.
Partner account issue
Sorry, eh? My partner account got blocked outta nowhere and I've been tryna get it fixed up, but those customer service folks are a real pain, eh? They've been no help at all, just makin' me wait on the phone forever with nothing to show for it. Feels like they're avoidin' me on purpose. My experience with a flexible ticket purchase
I bought a flexible ticket from Booking that ended up costing me an extra $300. When I needed to change my plans because of a medical emergency in Thailand, the customer service was really disappointing. It took forever to even get connected to someone through online chat. And then, once I finally did, I was only given 3 options. And when those didn't work, I had to start all over again. It was pretty clear that the customer service rep didn't really know what they were doing because they said some changes weren't possible, only to find out later that they were. They then told me I had to make an expensive long-distance call from Thailand to the UK to sort it out. The whole thing was so frustrating, especially since I had paid extra for what was supposed to be good service.
Trip booking issues in Spain
During our road trip in Spain, we ran into some issues with booking online. Out of 8 bookings, 3 messed up. Two hotel bookings got cancelled out of nowhere, leaving us clueless. Luckily, we managed to save one reservation and booked an apartment instead. Another time, we had trouble with a car rental. Even though we paid in advance, we waited at the rental spot for 2 hours because the platform couldn't sort out a replacement. It sucked because we wasted time waiting for them to fix it.
Accommodation booking for two day break in Brighton
I just booked a little getaway to Brighton for two days using an online travel site. I planned everything months ahead to make sure it would be a great trip.
