    Softball tournament stay with family

    I recently stayed at a hotel with my family for a softball tournament. When we got there, they told us the lobby was closed, but we could use the meeting room and the pool. We were hoping for a place where our whole team and their families could hang out, but we ran into some problems during our team meeting on the first night. Even though we didn't have a common area to gather, they told us to leave the meeting room. We tried to find other spots in the hotel to meet, but we kept getting hassled. It was kind of a letdown that the staff wasn't more helpful. They even threatened to kick us out if we didn't go back to our rooms, which made us feel pretty stranded and annoyed. We were expecting better customer service and understanding from a four-star hotel. We've stayed at hotels being renovated before and never had a bad experience like this. Just because the lobby was closed, that shouldn't mean treating guests poorly. It was also unsettling when one of our parents was told to fix their own TV when they asked for help. Overall, the lack of hospitality and professionalism from the hotel and its staff was really disappointing and not okay.

    I booked a stay with my points for December 2023, but unfortunately couldn't check-in because of a family emergency. Now I've been charged £193 for missing the check-in. They did credit back my points, but I still think it's an unfair policy!

    Overpriced and disappointing experience

    This place was a huge disappointment. We were expecting a fancy place to stay, but it was pretty shabby. Everything looked old and not well-maintained, definitely not what we were hoping for. The spa was also a letdown, not as relaxing as we expected. And having our room fumigated was definitely not a pleasant surprise. The restaurants were not great either, and on top of that, they were more pricey than other places nearby.

    IHG Reservation Dispute

    As loyal platinum member and owner of vacation club points with IHG, I had a frustrating experience with a reservation I made using my points for a flight connection. Unfortunately, my flight got cancelled due to a mechanical failure. When I reached out to IHG to cancel my reservation and get my points refunded, I faced a lot of resistance and unhelpfulness. Even after explaining the situation, I was told to contact IHG directly, where I encountered more challenges and unresponsiveness. It took many tries before I finally talked to a supervisor named Anita, who said she spoke to the General Manager but still couldn't resolve the issue and credit my points back. This lack of understanding and unwillingness to accommodate a legitimate situation was disappointing and not okay. Feeling unresolved and dissatisfied, I am now looking into taking further action in hopes of finding a fair solution. My IHG rewards number is 202718671.

    Cancelled IHG stay

    I've been with IHG for so long, and I had to cancel my stay like 4 months before my trip. Even though I'm a Gold Member, they still charged me a big fee, which just doesn't seem fair. I ended up booking a different hotel within the same group, but I still got hit with the penalty fee. It's just not cool, you know?

    Misleading information

    I had such a rough time with this company. The people there said one thing, but when push came to shove, it was a whole different story. They got me stuck in a contract even though the person I dealt with said they'd make changes. It was so frustrating and such a waste of my time. I won't be trusting their agents again, that's for sure.

    I had the worst customer service experience ever. I booked something and then it got cancelled last minute, with no backup plan given. When I contacted the company, they were no help at all. They offered me other options that were way more expensive and not as good of a location. They obviously care more about making money than making customers happy.

    Address Mix-Up

    I'm always staying at hotels and my account is all set, but it seems like they always mess up my address. I keep calling customer service, but things never seem to improve. They just keep opening more cases like there's no tomorrow. The staff doesn't really pay attention or get it. It's really annoying! IHG needs to hire better employees so they can avoid all these pointless cases.

    Not getting my rewards

    I was just sitting around, eagerly anticipating my IHG gift cards, but they never showed up! I was expecting McDonald's and Amazon gift cards, but all I got was some digital download stuff. Can you believe it?! The customer service folks in the Philippines were incredibly impolite and even hung up on me, not cool at all. And to top it off, they won't give me back my rewards points. Such a scam!

    Reservation cancellation issue

    I had, like, the worst thing happen with this hotel and their dumb mobile app cancellation policy. I did everything right to cancel within the time limit, but they still charged my card and wouldn't give me my money back. When I talked to customer service, they just blamed the hotel and said it was my problem to deal with. Like, totally not okay!

    Weekend Stay, No hot water

    Our weekend stay was not great because we had no hot water for our Sunday morning shower. It was a big letdown to find out that the water stayed cold no matter what we did with the controls. When we told the front desk about it, they just said that there wasn't enough hot water because there were too many guests. That explanation didn't cut it for us since we paid for a service we didn't get. This experience really turned us off the place and we won't be going back. We don't want any more surprises like this when we stay somewhere.

    Rude staff at check-in

    So, eh, I was at this place during check-in and this lady named Latisha was, like, SO rude. She acted like she didn't want to help us and was just totally annoyed, you know? My friend asked about points and she was all like "I'll look it up later" and when I asked for water she basically yelled at me to choose either water or points because only fancy guests get water. Like, seriously, so unprofessional and rude. Customer service is super important and this lady definitely needs more training, eh.

    I went to this hotel in Peru and stayed for a whole month. I signed up to get double points, but they never gave them to me!     IHG Diamond Elite benefits

    The IHG Diamond Elite benefits are supposed to guarantee you a room if you book 72 hours ahead of time. But when I actually tried to do it, they told me no. It was really frustrating and disappointing, especially since this was a big reason I joined IHG in the first place. And to top it off, their customer service was not great either, with automated robots being the only ones available to help Diamond Elite members on chat and over the phone. Companies need to keep their promises and make sure they're taking care of their loyal customers.

    Extended stay hotel booking

    My experience from booking a long-term stay hotel to when I left was amazing. From the beginning, when I made the reservation, I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. When I arrived, Luis Sanchez greeted me. He wasn't just friendly, but also very professional and helpful during my stay. He showed great leadership and made sure all my needs were taken care of. The hotel staff was efficient, polite, and always available to help with any questions or concerns.

    Stay at a hotel in Lithonia, GA

    My recent stay at a hotel in Lithonia, GA was a bit of a letdown. The hotel was just average, nothing to write home about. Despite being known for being clean, the hotel didn't quite live up to its reputation in that department. The beds were also super uncomfortable, making it tough to get a decent night's sleep. On top of that, there were a few break-ins in the parking lot while I was there, including my own car. The staff didn't seem too concerned about the safety and security of the guests, only saying they weren't responsible for any damages. And to top it all off, I never got my receipt via email, which is pretty frustrating. Overall, my time at this hotel was below par and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
