Trip booking for Jurassic coast with grandchildren during half term
I just booked a trip for myself and my grandkids over the half term to check out the Jurassic coast. It turns out our experience was pretty disappointing. We used a credit card to pay for the trip and after waiting in the rain, they told us last minute that the boat was having issues and only going one way to Poole. We were told at the ticket booth that we'd get a refund in 2-3 days but even after 8 days, nothing came through. After calling today, they finally processed the refund but said it would take another 2 days. The lack of communication and delay in getting our refund really bummed us out. Plus, they didn't even offer any compensation for the hassle.
Cruise booking cancellation due to partner's hospitalization
As a customer, I had to cancel a cruise booking last minute because my partner ended up in the hospital. I was really disappointed with how the company handled it. I explained what happened and why we couldn't make it to the cruise, but they were really cold and unsympathetic about it. They wouldn't give us any other options or a refund, which left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. A bit of understanding and flexibility could have made a big difference, but that didn't happen.
Poole Harbour & Brownsea Island Cruise
My partner and I went on a cruise around Poole Harbour and Brownsea Island recently. It lasted about an hour and our guide shared some cool stories about the different things we saw along the way. We really had a great time and thought the price was fair for what we got. We definitely think this cruise is worth checking out, especially if you're looking for a relaxing and informative tour of the area.
City Cruise tour
So, I went on this City Cruise tour recently and I gotta say, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. The whole booking situation in Greenwich was easy peasy, and the folks on the boat were super nice and made me feel welcome. The trip to St. Katherine's Wharf was pretty great, I mean those views were something else. But, when it was time to head back, things took a turn for the worse. One of the boats got cancelled out of the blue, which caused a big mess and lots of waiting around. And on top of that, I had to deal with this one staff member who was just plain rude and aggressive. I tried asking nicely about the return trip, but she was all hostile and disrespectful towards me. She even accused me of yelling at her when all I was doing was asking questions. Her whole attitude was totally unprofessional and it really put a damper on my whole experience, eh.
Cruise down river in York
My family and I had an amazing time cruising down the river in York! We didn't even plan it, but the weather was so nice, and we got to chill out while listening to the staff sharing interesting facts and stories.
Booking a cruise for 2 with specific dietary requirements
I recently booked a cruise for me and my partner, both vegetarians, so I made sure to specify our dietary requirements in advance. However, when we showed up, it looked like someone else had already snagged our vegetarian meals, leaving us hungry for the whole trip. It wasn't just the food that was a letdown - the boat was dirty, and the staff seemed more interested in getting tips than actually helping us out. I reached out to the head office to share my experience and disappointment, but I haven't heard anything back yet. It feels like they don't really care about making their customers happy. I would definitely recommend looking for another company to book a cruise with, as this one obviously doesn't care much about meeting customer needs.
Cruise
So I went on this cruise that ended up being nothing like what they promised, eh. I was so disappointed, buddy. I tried sending an email to complain, but all I got was more tickets, which was totally useless since I live far away and don't like being on the water, eh. I took my partner on the fireworks cruise for Christmas, thinking it would be awesome, but it turned out to be a major letdown. The company didn't even try to make things right or help us out, eh. We paid a pretty penny for this lousy experience, you know.
River cruise in London
My recent trip on a boat cruise in London was so nice. The boat I got on was super clean and well taken care of, which was a nice break from the busy city streets. The people working on the boat, from the crew to the service team, were really nice and made sure everyone had a good time. It was a chill and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely suggest it to anyone wanting to check out the Thames River.
Evening York river cruise
We paid for a night cruise around York that only lasted an hour. When we sat down, we were given a free glass of prosecco. The view during the journey was mostly dark river and trees, the only exciting part being the pubs at the landing area. There was no live commentary as promised, just loud and poor-quality speakers playing above us. The highlight of the trip ended up being the drunk passengers who joined us on board. Classic, right? The younger ones seemed perplexed, but hey, it's a strange world we live in! I definitely won't be spending my savings on this experience again!
Twenty-minute Thames River journey
The boat ride along the Thames River from Tower Pier to Westminster Pier was really well done and super fun. There were lots of comfy seats downstairs and plenty of spots with great views upstairs. The commentary was really interesting and helped us learn more about the area. It ended up being the best part of our day in London and gave us a memory to hold onto.
Afternoon tea experience
I had an awesome time on a boat for afternoon tea, even though it got delayed a bunch of times because of Covid rules. The folks working there were super helpful, and rebooking was a breeze. The boat itself was nice and tidy, cozy, and the views were amazing with a glass roof. The sandwiches and cakes were really tasty and fresh, with lots of options to choose from. The staff bringing us tea and coffee were really nice and paid attention to us. The pitcher of pimms was a good deal. In general, it was a fantastic experience for any special event.
Four tickets purchased through third-party, missing e-tickets
My experience with this company has been so frustrating. I bought four tickets online through a third-party website and never got the e-tickets by email like I was supposed to. I've been on the phone with their customer service for hours trying to sort this out. Tomorrow, I'm driving two hours to London to pick up my friends, and we're still not sure if we can even go on the cruise without the tickets. Our email is super simple, but we keep getting emails from other places instead of our tickets. I'll check back on Saturday to see if things have gotten better.
Afternoon Tea Cruise
What an amazing time! As soon as we got on the boat, we could tell it was going to be special. The views of London from our seats by the front window were breathtaking. The staff were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed on our cruise. The food at the afternoon tea was tasty, and the commentary was informative and funny, making the whole experience even better. I would definitely suggest this to anyone wanting a special way to see the stunning views of London.
Birthday cruise Thames
My son and I went on a post-Birthday cruise down the Thames and one of the things that really impressed us was the awesome commentary. The person telling us all about the sights had such a great sense of London humor. So, thank you once again!
Hop on hop off river cruise
The river cruise was awesome because we could get on and off whenever we felt like it. My buddies and I really enjoyed the live commentary. But man, there was this lady at the Greenwich terminal who was so rude and totally killed the vibe. She had zero people skills and was just plain mean. Someone needs to give her a heads up about being nicer to customers, you know?
Boat trip with great staff
My boyfriend and I had such a blast on a boat trip! The crew, Sydney, Farxiyo, and Deena, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and were at ease. The boat was spotless, the prices were reasonable, and the captain's stories were intriguing. The whole experience was fantastic thanks to the exceptional staff. We are looking forward to returning, perhaps with my mom next time!
I just wanna say a big thank you!
So hey, today I went on this boat and man, I was feeling so sick and scared because I normally don't like boats. But then Simon came through and totally saved the day! He was super nice and hilarious, he totally helped me forget about feeling sick and scared. Thanks to him, I had the best time ever.
Gifted experience discrimination
We received a Virgin voucher and thought it would be fun to go on a cruise. Can you believe they only allow a limited number of people with vouchers on each trip? It doesn't seem right, and we felt pretty excluded.
Cruise booking and cancellation
I just booked a cruise for April with a voucher, but then it got cancelled unexpectedly. I had some issues with the booking agent, so I decided to contact the company directly. Their customer service team was really helpful and understanding. At first, they offered me another voucher, but after I explained my situation, they quickly approved a full cash refund, which I got without any problems. I was really impressed by how professional and fair they were, instead of just sticking to their policies. If I ever go back to London, I would definitely use this company for another cruise.
Afternoon Tea Cruise
My husband and I recently went on an Afternoon Tea Cruise and we had such a lovely time! Our guide, Dylan, was so knowledgeable and funny, he really made the whole experience enjoyable. The staff on the boat were also super attentive and made sure we were having a great time. I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a relaxing afternoon out. It was actually a Christmas gift from my husband and we both had a blast sipping tea and taking in the gorgeous views along the river.
