Awesome peeps helping out
So, we went to Camping World and it was a bit hectic at first. But then some really awesome people showed up and saved the day! Mark was like a real hero, fixing everything in the end. Jamie was also incredible, sorting out the warranty issues. Nate took his time but made sure we understood all about the service plans. Taylor, our service guy, was great at keeping us updated. Deb helped us order parts for our tankless water heater and she was so helpful. And David, the mobile tech, was a real lifesaver! Please, Camping World, keep the mobile tech service going! We definitely need more people like David all across the US!
Camping equipment
I gotta say, I had a pretty rough time at this place. They totally messed up my order, so I had to spend forever on the phone trying to get it sorted out. My folks had to take time off work AGAIN just to deal with these issues. It feels like they don't value our time at all. But, to their credit, they did promise to fix the broken stuff and replace what needs replacing. It was so stressful, it felt like it took a whole day off my life.
Faulty wiring in water heater
I just bought a 311RD Montanna high country model and had a scary situation where the hot water heater caught on fire because of faulty wiring. Thankfully, it happened during the day, so it didn't get worse. But I was disappointed by how the staff at the store didn't take responsibility. Even though it could have been dangerous and I had just bought it, they acted like it wasn't their problem. That kind of carelessness is worrying and really made me lose trust in them.
Bought a camper
I visited Camping World and there was this guy, Tyler, who was really helpful and knew a lot about campers. He even fixed some things for us! Everyone there was friendly, but Tyler stood out as the most helpful.
Replacement shroud for my RV AC
Oh my goodness, I ordered a new shroud for my RV air conditioner and it still hasn't arrived after 2 weeks! They keep telling me it's coming from the manufacturer and it takes 7 to 10 business days to process the order. Ugh, I wish I had known it would take this long, I would have gone somewhere else! And they keep sending me all these emails about surveys and joining some club with them, like, stop bothering me and just send my order already!
RV repair issue
My experience with Camping World has been so disappointing and frustrating. I brought my RV to the Grain Valley location in MO for a repair, because they wired the converter/inverter wrong and made a fire hazard. Corporate said I should pay for the repair and take it back so they could fix it. But when I got there, they wouldn't admit their mistake and told me to bring my RV to the Kansas City Kansas location. Even though there were still 6 months left on the warranty, the Kansas City location also said no to fixing it under warranty and held onto my RV the whole time, not doing any repairs until after the warranty was over. Camping World's runaround and lack of taking responsibility is just not okay.
Radio repair
Camping World is just the worst, eh? I took my RV there to get my radio fixed, and it's been there for five whole months, can you believe it? They keep telling me lies, making promises they can't keep, and just giving me the runaround. I keep calling and calling, but nothing ever gets done. I'm so sick and tired of their awful service!
Overpriced, Untrustworthy
Avoid this place like the plague if you care about your hard-earned money and peace of mind. My partner and I got burned by buying a camper in September 2023 and we regretted it right away. The salesperson, Aaron, sold us a camper that was too heavy for our truck to safely tow, and we found out the hard way after one trip when our truck broke down. When we asked for help, the managers gave us nothing but excuses and broken promises, refusing to take responsibility for their error. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this shady business.
Class C leveling system
Our time at the dealership was a real mess. We got a Class C with a wonky leveling system that fell off while we were driving. It took us over 9 months of fighting and legal battles to get our RV back and have our missed payments taken care of. We thought it was just bad luck, so we upgraded to a Class A, but the same thing happened again. They promised quick fixes for our issues, but after waiting for over 6 months and missing out on camping trips, we had to take them to court once more to sort everything out. The RV still had problems - a window even flew off while we were driving, and it's been in their hands for 11 out of the 23 months we've owned it. It's been a total nightmare, and we're getting ready to start another legal battle just to get our RV back. Definitely steer clear of this place!
Forest River Wildwood Platinum camper
So we bought a Forest River Wildwood Platinum camper from the store, but things didn't go as planned. We asked them to keep it safe for a couple of weeks while we were away, but made it clear we didn't want it taken to any shows. Unfortunately, when my husband went back early to pick it up, we found out they had taken it to a show without asking us first. This meant he had to wait for hours before he could finally take it home. On top of that, we were told last minute that the camper we got wasn't even the one we originally bought - they went to another city to get a different one. The lack of communication and transparency was really frustrating and not what we expected from a reputable store like that.
Dream trailer
Our time at the camping store was amazing! We got assistance from this great salesperson who really went above and beyond to help us find the perfect trailer. Even with the cold and rainy weather, Connor was happy to show us all the different options until we found the ideal one. His professionalism and personal touch really shone through the whole experience.
Bought a tent online
So I bought this awesome tent online, eh? But then when I tried to return it to the store, they told me they couldn't give me my money back on my credit card anymore, only a gift card or a check in the mail. Can you believe that? That's crazy!
RV repair services
I just brought my RV in for some repairs at this one place and let me tell you, it was not a good experience. The staff didn't seem to care much about helping me out, and the prices they charged were way too high. On top of that, the quality of the work they did was pretty lousy. I left feeling like I got totally ripped off and I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone.
Refrigerator parts purchase
I had to pick up a part for my fridge and the service at this store was impressive. Jeff W really went out of his way to get me the right part fast. The parts department at this store is top of the line, I definitely recommend them for any RV part needs.
Winnebago trailer bid
My brother and I just took part in an online auction for a Winnebago trailer. We were pretty stoked about the idea of winning it and kept our eyes glued to the countdown. When the buzzer finally went off, it showed that we were the winning bidders. But then Camping World let us know that someone else had actually won, even though we never saw any higher bids. It was a major letdown and it's got us feeling pretty frustrated about how the whole auction played out.
Replacement radio and ladder installation
Last time I wrote a review, I was not happy with the service adviser and the runaround I received. But you know what? I contacted the Factory and they sent me a brand new replacement radio for free because mine got wet. After that, the dealership promised their team would come and complete the installation of my ladder, but they never showed up! So, I took matters into my own hands and discovered that the screws they used were too small and could have been dangerous in the future. I mean, seriously, what were they thinking? Anyway, my brother is interested in getting a new A Class and I advised him to steer clear of that place.
New tent
OMG, so my folks got us this new tent from that store by the lake and it was like, meh, not bad I guess. But then they took forever to pay off the trade-in for the old tent, so now we're stuck making double payments and it's totally not cool. They keep saying they'll look into it, but they never actually follow through. It's so annoying!
RV purchase
I recently bought an RV from this dealership, eh, and I gotta say, it was a huge letdown, ya know? Right from the start, they were feeding us a bunch of lies and playing games with us. They didn't give us the paperwork we needed right away, and they were shady about the whole money and insurance stuff. Plus, get this - their Better Business Bureau rating is a measly 1.07, which says it all about how sneaky and sketchy they are. We've been trying to get the paperwork we need from them, but they're dragging their feet. It's pretty obvious they prefer talking on the phone and they definitely could use some improvement in the professionalism department when it comes to written stuff, eh.
Moldy camper
I really don't recommend dealing with this camping store. My husband and I got a camper from them in March, but come April, we found out it was full of mold. We brought it back to them on April 19th to get it fixed, but as of today, May 24th, they haven't even started on it. It's just unacceptable how they are not taking this seriously or being responsible.
Recent camper purchase
I recently bought a camper from this company, and let me tell you, it's been a total nightmare. They told us all the problems would be fixed before we got the camper, but that didn't happen at all. They kept saying they would take care of it, but nothing ever got done. We've been waiting for months now and the camper still hasn't been fixed. Dealing with the staff has been so frustrating - it's like they're not even trying to help us. To top it off, we got hit with $5000 in hidden fees out of nowhere. It's just not right.

Clear Coat Application
I just got the clear coat put on my RV at Camping World after waiting half a year for an opening. But man, was I let down. They finished it when they said they would, but the jo... Read onBy: Carlee Grimes
