Flight experience to Thailand at Christmas
I gotta tell you about this airline I flew with for my solo trip to Thailand over Christmas. So, the flight centre suggested them and I thought, hey, they must know what they're talking about, right? But man, the online check-in was a disaster! It said I needed a visa when I didn't, and I almost lost it. I had to make countless phone calls just to get through check-in at Heathrow and Abu Dhabi.
The whole thing was a mess, let me tell you. It totally ruined the end of my holiday. And get this - on the way back, they put me on standby without even telling me why or if I'd get a seat! The lack of communication and all these booking mistakes just added to my stress.
To top it off, it took them four months to respond to my email - and it was just a generic apology! That's just terrible customer service. I'll never forget this awful experience.Last-minute flight changes
My buddy had to take a sudden flight before our trip we had all planned with that airline. We wanted to change the return flight using the ticket we already had, but they made us fork over more money to get it reissued. It just didn't seem right, considering how much we already shelled out for half of the service. They're acting like a bunch of vultures!
Bad flight experience
My first time flying with this airline was a total disaster. We got on the plane, but then had to get off because of technical problems. We had to wait around for hours, and then they told us our flight was rescheduled for the next day, completely messing up our plans. They didn't seem to care at all and didn't offer much help. I would highly recommend avoiding this airline for your own sanity.
Lost luggage incident
I recently had a really bad experience with this airline, eh? My luggage got broken into and some of my stuff got stolen during the flight, bud. When I told customer service about it, they just gave me a useless answer and said my suitcase only had a little damage, eh. They wouldn't take responsibility for the stolen stuff and didn't offer any compo, bud. This airline is a disgrace and you shouldn't trust 'em, eh. They're just a bunch of thieves taking advantage of us customers, bud.
Delayed baggage claim
I was so disappointed with the customer service I got from an airline I used recently. When I picked up my baggage at London Heathrow Airport, I saw that it was all messed up. I quickly went to the airline's desk to tell them what happened and they gave me a number to use for making a claim online. I did everything they asked, sent in pictures of my wrecked luggage, and then had to wait for a response. But then I got an email saying my case was closed, with no explanation or compensation. When I tried to find out more about what happened, they just gave me another reference number and the same lousy outcome. This airline's customer service is terrible and really unprofessional. They clearly don't care about their customers or our stuff. I recommend steering clear of this airline whenever you can.

Overcrowded check-in experience
My experience at check-in was absolutely terrible. There were seven of us, including two little ones, and we had an extra bag weighing 6kg. The check-in people made us remove the extra bag, and it took a painful two hours to sort it out. I'm really upset about all this and I think I need to make a formal complaint. Can you please give me an email address to do that? The lack of efficiency and friendliness from the check-in staff was just terrible. And on top of that, they were constantly speaking in their home language, which made us feel left out and uneasy.
Flight with Infant
I just went on a trip with my baby, and unfortunately, my family got split up because there weren't enough seats on the plane. I tried talking to customer service to fix it, but they weren't very helpful and kind of blew me off. The people on the phone didn't seem to care or want to help me out, which made me super frustrated and lonely on the flight. I had to deal with everything by myself, and the airline didn't offer any help or comfort.
Airline switch and extra bike fees
First of all, I booked my flight with one airline, but then I ended up getting switched to a different one without any reason. And when I wanted to bring my bike on the plane, they said I had to pay more money for it, even though it would have been free with the original airline. The customer service at the airport was not helpful whatsoever, and when I tried reaching out to the airline online, it was just a big waste of time. I'll definitely be steering clear of this airline in the future.
Flight booking experience
I tried booking a flight on their website, and let me tell you, it was a total disaster! The info and prices I saw didn't match up with what was on their official site. I spent three whole days trying to get my booking sorted out, jumping between my computer and their app, but no luck - their system and data just weren't lining up. It's wild to think that a big airline like that would have such big problems with their website in this day and age.
Flight cancellation due to illness
Sorry, but me and my partner had to cancel our flight with Etihad because she got really sick. We tried getting a refund by talking to customer service and telling them what happened, but they said no refunds. It's pretty disappointing that they're not more understanding when customers go through tough stuff. Even cheap airlines have better refund policies than that.
Long-haul flight experience from UK to Australia
The baggage rules and prices were okay, but the flight itself was pretty plain. The A380 to Abu Dhabi was nice, but the Boeing Skyliner to and from Sydney was a bit tight and not too comfy for the super long 17-hour trip. The entertainment selection was not great, with not many movies or music to pick from, and no live TV or WiFi. The food and drink choices were pretty basic too.
Online check-in seating charge
I was really disappointed with the extra fee they charged me for picking an aisle or window seat during online check-in on this airline. I've never had to deal with that on any other airline, except for the low-cost ones. I think it's fair to pay for your seat when you book if you want a specific spot, but having to pay more at check-in when there are plenty of empty aisle and window seats just doesn't seem right. And even though I didn't go for the cheapest ticket, getting hit with an unexpected fee for choosing my seat was not something I was prepared for. This extra cost really made my flight less affordable. Because of this, I'll think twice before flying with this airline again.
Delayed flight, denied refund, no compensation
Honestly, my experience with this airline was a complete nightmare. I had booked a flight with them, and out of nowhere, they cancelled it, leaving me stranded for three whole days. Not only did they mess up my travel plans, but they also had the nerve to not refund the extra money I paid to upgrade my seats on the original flight. And to top it all off, they found a way to get out of compensating me for all the trouble they caused. It was just shameless and heartless of them. I wouldn't recommend this airline to anyone. I'd much rather fly with Emirates or Qatar any day of the week. Etihad Airways, you should be truly ashamed of yourselves.
Flight experience from Johannesburg to Abu Dhabi
My family and I recently flew with a certain airline from Johannesburg to Abu Dhabi and I have to say, the flight was pretty good overall, all thanks to the incredible service from the flight attendants. In particular, Ashleigh Marigano and Rim Zouaoui really went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our section was well looked after. Their hard work, dedication, and professionalism made the flight a fun and memorable experience for everyone. Even when dealing with difficult passengers, they stayed cool, respectful, and positive throughout the whole journey.
But I have to say, the service on the flight back from Abu Dhabi to Manchester was not as great. The level of service from the flight attendants was noticeably lacking compared to our previous flight, which was a bit of a letdown.Flight experience
My recent flight with this airline was a total letdown. As soon as we got on the plane, we had to get off again because of a burning oil smell, making us worry about how well they take care of their planes. Then, they kept moving us around to different gates without telling us what was going on, which just made everyone confused and annoyed. The disorganization caused a delay of over 10 hours, leaving us stuck in the airport with no proper food or place to stay. They tried to make up for it by giving us free food from the airport, but none of the restaurants would accept their offer. The staff were rude and the whole situation was a disaster. It really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Booking flight with miles
Oh man, I was so annoyed with the Etihad website! I was trying to use my miles to book a flight, but then it all went wrong at the payment stage. I had to pick up the phone and argue with them about their misleading ads. So annoying! And on top of that, they only allow miles for direct flights - so unfair! And can you believe they charge extra for seats, even though their prices are already sky-high? Ugh, so frustrating!
Difficulty using credit voucher
Sorry, eh, but I can't get into my voucher cause of a password problem. And to top it off, I can only reach customer service by email. Plus, they're charging extra to call in. It's taking forever to get this sorted out and the support has been pretty terrible, to be honest. Not impressed with the service or the way things are being handled, eh.
Business Class flight to India
I recently got to fly Business Class to India with my wife from LHR. Gotta say, the service during the flight was top-notch. Seats were comfy and the whole time was great. But, there was a miss during our journey. Unfortunately, my wife's Summer hat went missing at some point. Seems like it got lost when the crew moved it from the overhead locker without telling us. We only noticed it was gone after we left the airport. We've tried reaching out to customer service at Delhi Airport and on our flight back from India, but we still haven't gotten a proper fix. It's been more than 2 months since we first brought it up, and even though we've been promised they're looking into it, we haven't seen any results. The lack of follow-up and solution has left us disappointed and questioning the airline's customer service. Despite the flights being great and the cabin crew being awesome, how this was handled has definitely changed our overall experience.
