Editing templates
I was super pumped to work on my templates for like an hour and a half, and then when I was ready to hit "publish," I couldn't find the button anywhere. Instead, all I saw was a subscribe button. So I figured out that I needed to subscribe to an 11€ subscription to publish. I was about to click it until I realized it was 11€ per month if you pay for a full year upfront. Otherwise, it's 18€ per month. I almost got tricked after putting in all that work, but luckily I checked the comments first. Phew, dodged a bullet there! DON'T DO IT!!!!
Website cancellation struggle
I gotta say, my experience with the website I made in 2020 was pretty good, but canceling it was a bit of a pain. Especially when I tried to stop the auto-renewal for the domain name - that was a whole other story. The website wouldn't let me log in, and the page just kept freezing on me. After a bunch of back and forth, I managed to fill out an online form, but they wanted so much info it was ridiculous. I had to dig up all sorts of documents like government IDs, bank statements, and details from when I first set up the account - which, let's be real, was a long time ago. Even after I finally sent in the form, the whole process was just frustrating and took up way too much of my time. And reading other people's reviews online didn't exactly ease my doubts that my problem would be fixed before they took more money from me. I ended up having to call my bank to stop any future payments, just so I wouldn't have to deal with more headaches. Honestly, it seemed like they were trying everything in their power to make canceling a nightmare, leaving me feeling stressed out and inconvenienced for no good reason.

I had such a tough time dealing with Squarespace and their auto-renewal thing. It's such a pain trying to figure out how to cancel it, having to dig through all that fine print on different pages. Squarespace is absolutely amazing for any solo entrepreneur like me! I started my own business and knew I needed a killer website to look professional. So, I gotta say, their customer service is just awesome! They always respond to emails super fast, like within hours and sometimes even minutes. They're so helpful and friendly. I've been using their products since 2018 and just built another website with them. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out!
Website building platform
As a veteran website developer, I've created a ton of websites using this platform and I gotta say it's one of the best out there. Even though I've seen some bad stuff said about it online, I've never had any big issues using it. Actually, none of my clients who have websites I built have ever reached out to me with complaints or technical problems. Makes me think some of those bad reviews might not be legit, or folks are trying to mess with the platform on purpose. From what I've seen, Square Space has an easy-to-use interface, lots of ways to customize, and awesome customer support, which is why it's my top choice for website development.
Web hosting and website building
The customer service at this company is just terrible, eh? I've been trying to contact them for four weeks now, sending multiple emails and all I get back are these preset, unhelpful responses. The chat support isn't any better, with limited access and reps that aren't much help. Their instructions are so confusing and don't even work, making things even more frustrating for us customers. And to top it off, their Google Workspace integration is messed up and breaks easily, leaving us without a way to get our data back, eh?
DNS Server issue
Eh, ever since Google handed over the reins to this "company", I can't even switch my DNS Servers anymore. I reached out to customer service over a month ago and haven't heard a peep back. And get this - their system says I don't even own the domain I'm paying for! Total mismanagement, a portal that's useless, and the customer service is basically non-existent.
