Swing set purchase with missing piece
I recently bought a swing set from Sportsman's Guide, eh, but when it arrived, one piece was missing, ya know. So, I gave customer service a call, and they quickly shipped out the missing part. I got it in just 2 days, and I was so pleased with both the swing set and the amazing customer service, eh.
LSA oil
I just bought some LSA oil from this store, thinking it would be exactly like they said on the website. But when I got it, it was totally not what they promised. I wrote a 1-star review sharing my letdown, but they went and deleted it a few hours later. That sneaky move really makes me wonder about the honesty of this company.
Outdoor gear purchase
As a customer of Sportsman's Guide, I recently bought some outdoor gear. At first, I was happy with what I got, but then I realized it was a cheap knock-off from a certain country. So, I decided to leave an honest review saying this, but Sportsman's Guide didn't post it. It's worrying that a company like SG would hide real product reviews from customers. People need truthful info to know what to buy. I hope Sportsman's Guide will be more open and post all real reviews, no matter what they say.
Burris Scope
I recently bought a Burris Scope from Sportsman's Guide and it turned out to be a bit of a bummer with their customer service. When my package showed up, I couldn't grab it because they messed up the whole signature thing. And instead of owning up to it, they tried to pin the blame on the manufacturer and the shipping company. And to top it all off, they told me they were sending the item back and I'd have to place a new order.
Military boots purchase
I recently bought a pair of military boots from this company, eh, and man, was I ever let down by the quality. I patiently waited a whole month for them to arrive, but when they finally did, I was floored. Turns out they were nothing but knock-offs with busted grommets and some missing too. I tried to get in touch with Sportsman's Guide for help, but got zilch back from them. It's pretty sad to see a company act like this, eh? Seems like they're all about cutting corners. Anyways, heads up for anyone thinking of shopping there, better watch out.
Military surplus purchase
I just bought some military surplus stuff from this store and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with how it all went down. Even though I saw some bad reviews, my order was taken care of quickly and smoothly. The stuff I got was just like they described it online, and when I had a small problem with one item, the return process was easy peasy. But if you're looking to buy ammo, you might wanna shop around 'cause the prices here might not be the best.
Overcharged
I just bought something and they charged me $400 extra without telling me or giving me the product. I feel like I got scammed and it's not cool. I recommend being cautious if you're dealing with this company because my experience was really bad.
Bed frame purchase
I just bought a bed frame from this company and had a problem with my order. When the package arrived, I saw that only half of the bed frame was in there, when I was supposed to get two boxes. I got in touch with customer service and they quickly sorted out the issue by sending me the missing package at no extra cost. The bed frame is really well-made and I'm happy with it. The customer service team really backed up their company and made sure everything was sorted for me. I definitely recommend this company for their top-notch customer service and great products.
$300.00 scope purchase
I recently bought a $300 scope from this company, and let me tell ya, it was a total nightmare. First off, they went ahead and renewed my membership without asking me, so I ended up spending extra money that I didn't plan on. Then, to make things even worse, when I got the tracking info from FedEx, turns out the package was heading to my old address four hours away! I right away reached out to customer support to try and fix the address or cancel the order. But let me tell you, they weren't helpful or friendly at all. Even though the item hadn't even left the warehouse and FedEx confirmed they hadn't picked up the package, customer support kept insisting it was going to my old address. When I asked to speak with a supervisor to sort things out, they were even more unhelpful and didn't take me seriously. The supervisor basically told me I was out of luck and that if the package got stolen, I'd have to pay for it. I even suggested calling FedEx together to figure it out, but the supervisor wouldn't hear of it. The lack of care and concern for my situation was unreal, and let me tell you, I won't be dealing with this company again, that's for sure.
Outdoor gear purchase
I used to really enjoy shopping here for outdoor gear, but I have to say, the quality of the products and customer service has really gone downhill in the past few years. It's pretty disheartening to see a company that used to be so great take such a nosedive. It's clear that things have taken a turn for the worse, and it's tough to have confidence in this website for good quality products anymore.
Hunting gear purchase
I've been shopping at SG for a good few years now, always going to their website for all my hunting gear needs. They've got a great selection, and I always manage to find exactly what I'm looking for. What really stands out about them is their top-notch customer service. Every time I've had an issue with something I've bought, they've quickly sent me a shipping label to return it. Unlike some other online stores, they don't stick to a strict 30-day return policy, which is a real pain. Even when I've left negative reviews for products I wasn't happy with, they've still made sure the return process was easy. It just goes to show how much they care about their customers and making sure we're happy.
Winter Jacket Purchase
I just got this winter jacket from this company, and honestly, it was a huge letdown. First of all, they hit me with a $19.99 shipping charge for a $19 item - like, seriously? That's outrageous. And to top it off, when the jacket finally showed up, it was the wrong size. It felt like a deliberate move to squeeze some extra profit out of me through the shipping fees. And when I tried to return it, they only gave me back the jacket cost, not the shipping fee. That is just not cool, and I am beyond disappointed with their service. Honestly, I wish they'd shut down soon so no one else has to go through this kind of shady business.
XL jacket, Child's size jacket received
I'm really upset about my recent purchase from this company. I ordered an XL jacket, but they sent me a child's size. I spent $102.19 on it, and now I can't even wear it. On top of that, I had to pay for return shipping and go through the trouble of dealing with customer service to try and get my money back.
Sig P322
So I just bought the Sig P322 from this store and let me tell you, I am super impressed with everything. The price was awesome and the delivery came quicker than I expected. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
Installment program
I wasn't sure about trying the installment program, but let me tell you, it's awesome! It made buying my stuff way more affordable and easier. You should definitely give it a go.
Shotgun ammo
I ordered some shotgun ammo online for the first time ever! I was so pumped to give it a go and see how it all panned out. The shipping was crazy fast - I got it in just 4 days. It felt like magic! Overall, it was a top-notch first experience. I'm stoked to order more in the future. Thinking I might even sign up for a membership. Who knows, right?
Backordered item
So, I went ahead and placed an order on the Sportsman's Guide website back in December '23 for an item that said it was out of stock, thinking it would only be a couple of weeks before it was available. Along with that, I decided to add a 3-month membership at a discounted price and used a $10 coupon that I got from signing up through email. Unfortunately, I ran into some trouble because my membership didn't show up on my account like it was supposed to.
Then, in January, I got an email saying my item was still on backorder with a new shipping date estimated. I must have missed another email warning me that my order would be canceled if I didn't take action in time, which ended up happening. To top it off, my membership was set to automatically renew for $59.99 without my knowledge.
I contacted customer service about the mess, and they told me my order was canceled without letting me know, so I had to start the whole process over again. They weren't willing to extend my membership to cover the lost months, but instead offered me a $10 coupon that I still haven't gotten my hands on.Danner boots
I've been shopping at this store for many years now, and I've always been happy with what I've bought. Just the other day, I got myself a pair of sturdy Danner boots that are super comfy, and let me tell you, they are top-notch. These boots are well-constructed and look exactly like they did online. I really liked how much info they gave on the product, it made it easier for me to choose what I wanted.
Fuel surcharge issue
I had a really frustrating experience with a store recently because they added this "fuel" surcharge that caught me off guard. Even though they don't even do deliveries, it was annoying to see this extra charge pop up at the checkout. It's not cool to make it seem like you're getting a great deal only to hit customers with unexpected fees at the end. So, I've decided I'm done with this store and I'm taking my business somewhere else.
Wine Country Hunters Gourmet Choice Gift Basket
I just got the Wine Country Hunters Gourmet Choice Gift Basket from Sportsman's Guide, but it was not what I expected at all. Even though there was a "100% satisfaction guarantee" card in the package, Wine Country initially said they didn't work with Sportsman's Guide. They only helped me out after I showed proof of purchase. But then they passed the problem back to Sportsman's Guide because the purchase wasn't directly from them. So, I left a truthful review on the Sportsman's Guide website, giving it 1 star and added pictures of the sad basket I got. I also reached out to Sportsman's Guide to let them know about the bad experience with Wine Country. It's disappointing to be treated this way, especially since I've been a loyal customer for 10 years. Because of this, I've decided to stop buying from Sportsman's Guide in the future.
