Wanted to change my ticket while on vacation in Canada
So, y'know, I requested a call back from customer service about changing my ticket like a week ago. And I still haven't heard from them. Their customer service is just brutal, man. I wouldn't suggest them at all.
Flight booking experience
My experience with this travel agency has been a total nightmare. I booked a flight back in September 2021, planning to travel in November and December of that year with a well-known airline. But then, due to all the travel restrictions popping up because of the pandemic, I had to cancel my flight. When I first booked, there were no restrictions in place yet. They gave me credits for the canceled flight, but things got messy when I tried to use those credits to book a new flight in May 2022. CheapOair linked me up with the airline, but they didn't want to help because I booked through the agency. Fast-forward to this year (2023), and the struggle continues. I've been bounced around from one department to another, and nobody can give me a decent solution. One customer service rep even told me to consider booking with a different airline that might be cheaper, basically telling me to forget about my credits. It's so frustrating to not be able to book a flight, not being able to use those credits for any other trips, and not being offered a refund. Essentially, the agency is asking me to say goodbye to $790 in credits. I don't know who else to turn to about this problem.
Frustrating booking experience
The booking process was so long and annoying, eh! I had so many problems and had to wait forever to talk to someone. The agents didn't seem to know what they were doing, and I had to ask for a supervisor a bunch of times before they finally fixed my problem. And even then, they didn't listen to me about using my airline credit. But after some more back-and-forth with the supervisor, things are finally starting to look up, eh!
Booking issues and lack of confirmation
I had a pretty annoying booking situation recently where the company didn't send me a confirmation. I booked a flight but never got an email confirming it - turns out it went straight to my junk folder. And to top it off, I got charged right away, so I had to book another flight. Honestly, I'd recommend booking directly with the airline. CheapOair isn't very transparent and you don't really get any extra services - you're pretty much relying on the airline for everything.
Flight booking nightmare
Spent a whole hour on the phone with this agent trying to book my flight, and let me tell you, it was a total nightmare. Prices kept going up and the choices they were giving me were just not working. If you're a fan of wasting time and having irritating chats, then CheapOair is where you need to be. Honestly, I was so let down by the whole thing.
Terrible experience
OMG, do NOT book with this company EVER! They totally put me through hell with their terrible customer service and all the lies. They seriously don't give a crap about your passenger rights. You better just steer clear of them. I even had to go and complain to the Canadian Transport Agency.
Booking confirmation assistance
I had a little snag with my booking confirmation and had to reach out to customer service for help. The guy I spoke with, Fletcher, was super helpful and made me feel at ease during our chat. He took the time to go through all my details, double-checked the booking, and let me know that the flight delay was because so many people were booking. Fletcher even recommended another flight that was convenient and didn't break the bank. Thanks to his help, I'm feeling good about my vacation plans and keeping things within my budget.
