Video streaming service
As a customer of an online video streaming service, I was kinda let down to see that their ads didn't really showcase a diverse range of people. I come from a place where everybody's different, so it's super important for brands to show that in their ads. When companies don't include all kinds of folks in their marketing, it can make some potential customers feel left out. It's really key for businesses to realize how vital diversity and inclusion are in their advertising efforts, so that they can connect with their audience and make everyone feel like they belong.
Awesome videos
I've been using this video website for ages now and it's really simple to upload my videos. I have a bunch of awesome videos on there and I'm always enjoying checking out other people's videos too. The layout is clean and doesn't have ads popping up all over the place like some other sites.
Slow uploading and removal of videos without notice
Vimeo is such a pain to use, eh? Takes forever to upload stuff and then poof, fails half the time. And what's up with them randomly deleting videos without a heads up or explanation? Feels like you're playing a risky game with your content, y'know?
Video hosting platform experience
I've been using this video hosting platform for a while now and honestly, it's not what it used to be. I find it really frustrating how they keep asking for more money all the time. One day, out of nowhere, they said my subscription was expired even though I pay every month. This meant my clients couldn't access any videos for two months and they didn't even bother to warn me or say sorry. The service is just horrible, with things changing all the time without any heads up, making it hard to keep up.
Payment issues with Vimeo
It's really annoying, eh, dealing with payment problems on Vimeo, eh? I've been able to pay for VOD's for years with no issues using the same info, but now it's acting up. I tried making a new account and using a different browser, but still no luck with the payment info. It's worrisome, especially since the payment info works fine on other websites and vendors I've used. The drop in service quality lately is disappointing, eh? It's a shame that editors and video creators might have to find another platform to post their content.
Video platform subscription
I got a subscription to a video platform and, man, it's been a real headache dealing with their player. It's causing some serious problems for our business, and even after reaching out a bunch of times, we haven't heard anything back. Ended up moving all our videos to a different platform. What a hassle!
Bad customer service
The customer service at this place is terrible, eh. I sent them an email twice and it took them forever to reply, eh. I'm a paying customer and I need help with my e-learning videos, but they're just ignoring me, eh. I might have to switch to a different website for my videos, eh.
My sign-up experience
I signed up for a free trial, and all of a sudden, they were trying to swipe a lot of money from my account! The cost was way too steep, even pricier than signing up for a full year straight up. It seemed like they were trying to pull a fast one on people, getting them to pay for a whole year without them even knowing. Not cool at all!
Subscription Scam
I signed up for a trial on this video website and figured I'd cancel before it ended. But even though I cancelled, they still went ahead and charged my credit card! It's such a scam, so don't trust them with your credit card info!
Upload video stuck on "optimisation pending"
As someone who's spent a lot of time using different video platforms, I ran into a real annoying issue recently. I had a video that was stuck on "optimisation pending" on one platform. So, I reached out to customer service for some help, but I was pretty let down by the lack of response and overall customer service. It was a total bummer, and now I'm not sure if I want to use that platform again for uploading videos in the future.
Unexpected membership sign-up
I clicked on a link to watch a video and ended up getting signed up as a member without even meaning to. Now, I'm having a hard time trying to delete this account that got made without me saying yes. It's been a real annoyance and I'm feeling pretty frustrated about it. It's not cool to feel like I got tricked into something that seems like a scam.
Online video hosting website
My time using that online video hosting site was a huge letdown. Even with other platforms on the decline, Vimeo just didn't cut it for me. The customer service was pretty meh, no real help and those automated bots were the main way to reach out. On top of that, I got hit with surprise monthly fees after signing up, and had a tough time trying to delete my account. All in all, I wouldn't suggest Vimeo as a YouTube replacement.
Free plan autorenewed to starter plan
They totally fooled me into making a payment for something I didn't even want! That customer service bot is completely useless and their billing tactics are sneaky and just plain wrong. We gave it a shot once, but never went back because it was way too complicated and not at all what we were looking for.
