Subscription cancellation issue
I recently went through a really annoying situation trying to cancel my subscription. I asked to cancel before the trial period was up, spoke to a person who said they'd pass on the request, but still, my account wasn't cancelled. It was a real pain trying to reach someone by phone, and even when I did, I got the same old story about my cancellation request being sent to the right place. The whole thing just felt sketchy and untrustworthy.
E-commerce platform subscription
As a customer who has used other e-commerce platforms before, I found BigCommerce to be pretty outdated and complicated. Compared to other more user-friendly options, I had a hard time with simple tasks like editing the footer or adding newsletter text without dealing with coding. It was annoying to always have to recode things after updates, and the platform just felt clunky and not very efficient. Even though they made big announcements, the features they added were not very well done and left a lot to be desired.
Tax calculation issue
I've been a loyal customer of this platform for a bunch of years now and never had any big problems until now. Lately, I ran into a real issue with tax calculations on my store that has cost my business a lot of money. Even after contacting customer support, I was told that a tier 2 agent would have to look into and fix the issue, but that could take up to three days. Waiting that long would mean even more financial losses for my business, and that just won't cut it. It's really disheartening to see the drop in customer service quality from this platform.
Cool backpack
Oh my gosh, this company is honestly terrible! They never respond to you at all. I purchased a backpack and now my account is locked or something because they believe I didn't pay, but I never received a bill or anything. It's super frustrating, eh!
Difficult customer support and faulty selling channels
I've been a customer for a few years now and let me tell ya, their customer service is just brutal. Every time I have a problem and try to get in touch, they just push me towards their paid developers instead of taking care of it themselves. And don't even get me started on their free apps, they're seriously lacking. Plus, trying to link up with selling channels like Facebook shop and Google merchant is always a headache. It's caused me to lose money and my customers are not happy.
Online store hosting
After using the online store hosting for 4 years, we had to cancel because of a big jump in our monthly bill. They said they'd refund us for the extra charges and we still had two weeks left of paid access, but they cut off our admin access right away when we canceled. This caused a lot of problems with refunding customers and closing our account. It's been 6 days and we still haven't heard back from billing, which just makes us even more annoyed. Moving away from this platform was definitely the best decision.
Bought store stuff
So I went to this store, and it was honestly not great. They don't have cool stuff, they charge for every little thing, and they don't even have an easy way to pay. The people working there are pretty rude and seem to only care about making money. Plus, they charge you every month for a basic store that really only works well if you're just starting out, and then you realize it's not worth it at all.
Online store tools
I just started using these online store tools and let me tell you, they are super easy to use and make sense right away. The customer service is top-notch - they're always there to help me out with any questions or problems I run into. The support team knows their stuff and is so nice and helpful, it's a breeze getting the assistance I need. I definitely suggest this platform to anyone wanting to get their online store up and running.
Our online shop
We got an online store and we use this website to help us out. It's not bad, but it can be pricey with all the extra charges for more stuff. The customer service is alright, you can chat with them and they'll sort you out. The ticket system isn't too bad either. But gotta admit, other sites like Shopify have way cooler features and apps. They even got a subscription service that we're itching to have here. We might make the jump to Shopify down the road.
Hockey stick and jersey
I just bought a sick new hockey stick with a matching jersey. When I went to pay, the website told me it was down for maintenance! I was so annoyed because I really wanted to show off my gear at my next game. Finally, when I got in touch with them, they said the payment didn't go through because my mom's credit card had expired. They didn't even bother to give us a heads up! They blamed it on some internal issues with their notifications. Seriously, just give me a call or something. I drop a lot of money here every month and they treat me like just a number. Not cool, dude.
Frustrating platform changes
As a long-time customer, I gotta say, I'm getting real frustrated with all the changes happening on this platform. Just when I finally get used to how things are set up and working, boom, they go and switch it all up on me again. It's really hard to keep up and manage my store effectively with all this back and forth going on. And now they want me to recode the whole store to fit the new updates? No way. I've already put so much time and effort into the current setup, I ain't goin' back to square one. I'd rather just switch to a whole new platform at this point. Dealing with all these constant changes is just too much of a hassle.
Online shopping experience
So I made an online purchase the other day, and let me tell you, the customer service was a total letdown. I had some questions about my order and tried to get help through the chat or email options, but it was way too complicated. I couldn't even figure out how to start addressing my issues. The whole thing was a mess and left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied with the service.
BigDev course
Oh man, you won’t believe it, I bought this online course and it was a total rip-off! The links were so broken and the information was all incorrect. I complained about it three months ago and I still haven’t seen my money back. The customer service is awful, they just mess around with you and never actually do anything to help. Seriously, don’t bother wasting your time or money on this, it’s the worst.
Online store setup
I switched from our old platform to BigCommerce thinking it would be better, but man, was I ever wrong! You need to buy so many extra apps just to do simple things, it's insane. It's like they make everything hard on purpose so they can keep charging you for add-ons. And let's not even talk about customer service. Every time I have a problem, it's just a back-and-forth between BigCommerce and the app makers. They don't seem to care about actually fixing things for me. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this platform from hell.
Got wrong billing for 3 years
So yeah, BIGCOMMERCE has been billing us all wrong for like, 3 whole years, eh. And we've been trying to get it fixed up for over 2 months now, you know? We called them, opened up cases, but no one seems to wanna help us out or give us the refund we totally deserve. It's just really disappointing, eh. We trusted them, and now they're not even doing the right thing. They're really messing with our small family business, totally not following the contract we signed, eh.
Recent purchase of cosmetics
BigCommerce is really letting me down lately. I've been using their services for more than 6 years now and I've noticed that things are going downhill. There have been a bunch of changes that are making things harder for our store, like problems with connecting to the server and products not showing up on our site. It's frustrating that we have to keep bugging customer support or notice a drop in sales before we find out about these problems. It's kind of shocking that a company as big as this can't seem to handle a website properly.
Tech subscription
The customer service experience I had with this company was pretty bad, eh. I tried to cancel my subscription, but ran into a bunch of problems. They made me give a special pin just to email support, and the live chat wasn't even open when us Canadians are awake. Plus, when I called them up, I was stuck on hold forever. It was so annoying not being able to reach them easily, and it made it tough for me to sort out my problem quickly.
Bigcommerce premium plan
Oh my goodness, I've been using this website builder for a year now and I'm feeling pretty meh about it. The platform itself is stable and bug-free, which is great. But there are just so many things that it lacks! Firstly, wanting extra product filters means you have to upgrade to the expensive plan, which just doesn't seem worth it. Who only has 12 product attributes anyway? Plus, there's no language switcher, which should be a basic feature nowadays. The product bulk editor and search tool are really not up to par as well. And don't even get me started on the helpdesk - it's like talking to a wall. The marketing channels are also really glitchy. Seriously, Bigcommerce, step up your game! It might be okay for really small businesses, but if you want real features, go with WooCommerce or Shopify, seriously.
E-commerce platform
As a customer using the e-commerce platform, I gotta say, I've come across some major issues that are seriously messing with how my online store runs. I'm talking problems with the checkout process, bugs that straight up delete orders, you name it. This platform ain't delivering on its promise of smooth sailing. But the real kicker for me is this bug that keeps changing URLs when I try to add products to new categories. It's causing a ton of 404 errors on my site and seriously hurting my SEO game. And don't even get me started on how slow BigCommerce is to fixing these critical bugs or how they keep me in the dark about ticket progress. My account managers ain't helping either. It's got me feeling frustrated and thinking maybe I should start looking at other platforms for my business. Big clients are starting to notice too - some are already jumping ship for more reliable options.
Paid for Google ads
I was using this platform for a couple of years and I had put a lot of money into Google ads to try and boost my sales. When my sales hit $192K, the platform suddenly jacked up their fees from $70 to $399 USD for the same amount of sales. When I tried to talk it out with them, they basically told me to either shut down my site or suck it up and pay the new fees. So, I ended up switching over to Wordpress Woo commerce, which cost me $2000 for web design. At least now I know that if my sales go up, my fees won't shoot through the roof.
