My simple life insurance purchase
So, I was in the market for some life insurance and I stumbled upon this company that made the whole process a breeze! I couldn't believe how simple it was! It was like a piece of cake, quick and easy. I appreciate how clear and uncomplicated everything was. If only everything could be this straightforward!

Emergency supplies
I'm so stoked about how quickly I received my order and how amazing the products are! They're top-notch quality and clearly well-made. Honestly, I highly recommend this place to everyone for emergency preparedness. Thanks a bunch!
Review about: CityPASS
Easy CityPass purchase
I bought the CityPass and honestly, it was so easy peasy! The places I went to were all ready for me when I showed them my pass, so no stress at all. Usually, when using other event registration sites, things get a bit mixed up, so it was nice not to have any issues this time. The attractions on the pass were totally worth the money and gave me a cool experience on my trip. It was awesome to have something cool planned while I was wandering around the city.
Review about: Nasty Gal
Mini dress and leather jacket
Overall, my shopping experience was kinda meh. The stuff came fast, but the sizes were all wonky, so I had to deal with sending them back. The return process on the website was brutal, so I ended up just shooting an email to customer service. Thankfully, the person who helped me out, Manicole, was super nice and knew their stuff when it came to sorting out my return.
Review about: TRAEGER
57-year-old female, 11 customer service calls, grill troubleshooting.
My time with the grill was so darn annoying. I had to call customer service a whopping 11 times, and six of those times, they told me to grab a screwdriver and take the grill apart. Can you believe that? They even sent a technician over three times, and he had to call in another technician because the darn grill just wouldn't cooperate. It was such a letdown to have to troubleshoot and basically play mechanic just to get the grill up and running properly.
Review about: Well
Incorrect product received
I had a pretty bad experience with the customer service at Well recently. The folks there couldn't seem to figure out the problem when I got the wrong product, and they didn't really explain what went wrong. Even after I tried reaching out by email, they took forever to sort things out. I did end up getting a refund in the end, but it was a hassle that dragged on way too long, wasting my time and leaving me pretty annoyed. This just doesn't meet the service standards I was expecting.
Review about: FragranceX
FragranceX perfumes/colognes
My experience with FragranceX perfumes and colognes was a bit of a rollercoaster. I found that their products were legit and smelled just like the store-bought scents I know and love. The prices were reasonable, and they had a wide variety to choose from, which made finding what I wanted a breeze. However, there were some issues with communication. I placed my order on a specific date and was given a delivery estimate, but my package showed up way later than expected. I didn't receive any updates on the status of my order as it made its way to me, which left me feeling kind of in the dark. When I asked customer service about what was going on, I got vague answers, especially since I'm an international customer. So, while the products were good quality, the lack of communication and delayed delivery were definitely not the best parts of my experience.
Review about: AKKO
Replacement headphones due to theft
My experience with AKKO was amazing once again. My headphones got swiped from the college gym, and I was so impressed by AKKO's quick and caring service. The whole claim process was easy and smooth, and the clear communication made it all stress-free. I've been with AKKO for 3 years now, and I really think their efficiency and commitment to making customers happy is top-notch. I'll definitely keep telling my friends and family about AKKO.
Review about: SuperBillets
Recent ticket purchase
I bought some tickets on this website recently and it wasn't the greatest experience. The website was hard to use, and when I had trouble getting my tickets, the customer service was not very helpful. They basically just sent me a link and expected me to figure it out on my own. I was worried I might lose my tickets because of this lack of help. In the end, I had to go straight to the venue to fix the problem myself.
Review about: Covenant Eyes
Content Filtering Software
I had the content filtering software set up to block inappropriate stuff like porn, and it did a good job at that. But, I ran into a problem when it started blocking legit sites like Canvas, which made it tough for me to get my online assignments done. It was annoying and inconvenient because I had to figure out ways to get around the blocking to access the educational stuff I needed.
Review about: 4 Wheel Parts
New lift kit and tires
I gotta tell you, eh, I had a rough time when I bought a new lift kit and tires from this store. Their customer service is pretty much non-existent, only one or two folks answering phones, and their email system? Forget about it. On top of that, the parts I ordered were takin' forever to ship. It's obvious this company ain't tryin' to do things right, and I'm real fed up with the lack of professionalism and skill.
Review about: Canon
New printer
So, check it out - I had to ditch my old printer 'cause it was acting up all the time. And now this new one? Total disaster! It feels super flimsy, like it's made out of the cheapest plastic around. Compared to my trusty old printer that never caused me any grief, this new one is a joke! Now I gotta fork over cash for tech support just to keep it chugging along. What a waste of money, eh?
Review about: Shaw Academy
Was supposed to be NOTHING
SCAM SCAM SCAM - I WISH THERE WAS A 0 STAR OPTION
Like so many of the other reviewers on here, I have also been scammed by Shaw Academy.
They entice you with a free trial and then make it virtually impossible to cancel, and will harass you with emails, texts, Whatsapp's, and anything else they can contact you on.
Furthermore, they use a deceitful and underhanded system to charge you even more. They have a one-click payment system, which means that curiously clicking on a "toolkit", for example, will IMMEDIATELY, charge you £39.95 which they will refuse to refund. One click and your money is gone.
Upon realising I had been scammed, I contacted my bank and Shaw Academy directly. Shaw Academy was awful at replying to emails and when they did, they mainly just tried to make me purchase more! I asked numerous times for a refund and to cancel my account - these requests were repeatedly ignored.
FINALLY, I received my refund and written confirmation that my account had been cancelled, with no further charges:
"As per your request, we have now cancelled your membership.
Please be assured that you will not be charged for your membership until you reactivate."
It turned out this was a LIE! Whilst looking through my bank statements the next month, I saw that they had charged me £39.95 again! Here starts the battle again!
Looking on here and other review sites, I can see that so many people have fallen for the same scam as me. I don't understand how they haven't been shut down yet.
***UPDATE***
Since writing this review, I have realised that the second charge was my bank taking back their refund after Shaw Academy eventually refunded me too. I can't find a way to edit on here so please disregard that part of my review.
However, for the other reasons outlined, 1 star is still too generous. I would advise to stay away from SA at all costs.
