Online order
I just wanted to share my recent experience making a purchase online. It was pretty rough, to be honest. So the first time I decided to buy something online, I chose to have it delivered to my house. Big mistake. It ended up taking 2.5 months for my order to show up. Can you believe it? When I tried to cancel the order and called customer service, they told me it wasn't possible. Then I went to the actual store and talked to someone there. They suggested I get it delivered to the store for a faster delivery. I thought, why not give it one more shot? But even then, it took another 3-4 weeks for my stuff to get to me. And get this, I only got one email to let me know my order was ready for pick-up. And they gave me a really short time frame to grab it. Turns out, my order had already been sitting at the store for a week with no heads up. Ugh, it was just such a frustrating and disappointing experience all around.
Cropped Hoodie & Leggings Set
So, I got this super cute cropped hoodie and leggings set online, you know? But when I put it on, it just didn't fit right. So I wanted to return it, but wow, it seriously took them forever to deal with my return. I mean, don't they realize we all have better things to do than waiting for them? And why do they make it so tricky to return stuff in-store only anyway? Plus, $6.00 for returns? No way. And let's not even get started on the rude customer service! I just wanted a quick refund, not to be treated like a criminal for returning something that didn't fit. They should really learn from Temu when it comes to treating customers right. Torrid, come on, step up your game!
Over $100 order
I made a mistake ordering from this website, eh. I spent over $100 on my order back on 6/12/22, and I still haven't got any updates or my stuff. It's been over two weeks now, and my order is still stuck at "processing." I've tried reaching out to customer service, but they've been no help at all. They said they couldn't find my order and didn't give me any more help. It's frustrating to have my money tied up with no end in sight. I for sure won't be using this website again, that's for sure.
Online orders
I recently had a frustrating experience with my online orders from this company. I initially let one order auto cancel for a refund because I couldn't pick it up. I reached out to customer support many times, but didn't get any help. Later on, I made two more orders to be shipped to my place because of car troubles, but ran into the same problem with getting my refund. The company kept telling me my refund was processed, but I still haven't got it. The lack of communication and follow-up from the customer service team has been totally unacceptable.
Leggings and bras
The leggings and bras at this store are seriously the best! I don't get all the negative comments about them. I've never had a bad experience, whether I'm in-store or online. The customer service has always been amazing. I totally suggest giving them a shot, or even another shot. They're definitely one of my top plus-size stores!
Plus-size clothing
I had a terrible time with their website, eh. I was trying to buy some plus-size clothes, but I kept having issues at the checkout. They didn't even bother to tell me if certain items were sold out, like most other sites do. It was so irritating, and I couldn't even finish my order. It felt like a big waste of my time, eh. I for sure won't be going back to that website for shopping.
Comfy clothes!
The clothes I picked up were so comfy and fit me just right. I love rocking them at school and when I'm chilling with my friends. They give me that boost of confidence and make me feel super cool.
Black jeggings
I bought these black jeggings from the store the other day, and let me tell you, I was not impressed at all. The whole ordering thing was a total disaster - I ended up putting in the wrong address by accident and when I tried to fix it, the customer service was absolutely useless. They couldn't change the order for me, and there was no way for me to do it myself through my account. It's really annoying that they have such a strict system, especially since they already take so long to ship things out.
Pants, bras
As a customer, I've had some good and bad experiences with the stuff I bought from this store. The pants and bras I got were pretty good quality and they fit well, but sometimes the sizes on the website are off. Like when I ordered those swim shorts and they were way too small in the crotch - I couldn't even wear them. It's frustrating when the marketing tricks you like that, cause it just makes you waste money and get annoyed. Also, it seems like a lot of the clothes are more for smaller folks, which can be tough for us bigger-bodied people. But I still end up shopping here cause it's pretty much the only place I can find clothes in my size.
Recent online clothing purchase
As someone who's been a customer with this company for a while now, I gotta say, I'm always amazed at how fast my orders arrive. The descriptions of the products are spot on, so I never get any surprises when my stuff shows up. And let me tell you, the promotions they have are pretty tempting, which just makes me want to keep coming back for more. I have to say, some of those bad reviews out there don't really do justice to the solid service and great products this company provides.
Recent shopping experience
So, I went to the clothing store at Devonshire Mall and let me tell you, I was so disappointed with the customer service there. They didn't even have my size in stock like they said they did, and the salesperson helping me just up and left without a word. I was literally left there feeling ignored and frustrated. I tried calling to talk to the manager, Brenda, and she was kinda dismissive and said she would use my feedback as some sort of "training tool," which really rubbed me the wrong way. All in all, this whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth, and I definitely won't be going back to that store again.
Online order cancellation chaos
I've had such a tough time ordering from this website. For a whole month, my online orders got cancelled five times. I even tried going to the store and getting a clerk to help me place the order, but that got cancelled too. When I called customer service to ask what was up, they gave me wishy-washy explanations like the order being out of stock or blaming the bank for the cancellations. It was super frustrating how they weren't being clear or taking responsibility. It felt like they didn't even try to fix the problem. The website itself was full of glitches that made it impossible to actually buy anything. And the foreign customer service reps weren't very helpful, which was a bummer. It's obvious that every cancelled sale is a hit to the company, so it's surprising how little they seemed to care about keeping customers happy. Come on Canada, we deserve better than this.
Duplicate Dress Purchase
I recently bought two of the same dresses from this store. When I went to return one of them, they gave me way less money back than what I actually paid for it. And get this, the dress was still brand new, never even taken out of the package! I can't believe they shortchanged me like that, it's completely ridiculous and totally not okay.
My new outfits
OMG, I got the cutest clothes from here, but then they canceled my order! Like, don't they know people are waiting for their clothes? It was sooo hard to get my money back, ugh.
Blouse in multiple sizes
The website is not showing the real stock levels, which is super annoying and inconvenient for us customers. Too many times I've ordered stuff that said it was in stock, only for them to tell me days later that they ran out and take it off my order. It's hard to plan what to buy when you can't trust the info on the site, and it's frustrating when things don't work out like you hoped. Plus, the sizes and quality of the stuff I've gotten have been all over the place, which just adds to the stress of shopping online.
Recent online order
So I recently placed an order online and it turned out to be a total disaster. I was so excited about the items I had picked out, but then a few days later, I got an email saying that my order was cancelled. I was really upset because the company didn't even bother to let me know beforehand. I had to contact customer service multiple times, through email and eventually by phone, only to find out that their system had cancelled my order automatically without giving me a heads up. And the worst part is, they said they hadn't charged my account, but I could clearly see the charge on my bank statement. They promised to refund me with Torrid cash and store credits, but I still haven't received anything yet. I've been a loyal customer for more than ten years and I've never experienced such awful service and shady practices before. This whole thing has left me feeling really disappointed, and I doubt I'll be shopping with them again.
Blouse shredded after one wash
I bought this blouse from the store for a trip I was planning. I wore it once, washed it as the label said, and then boom - it ripped on the seam! I've only had it for less than a week, worn it for just 2 hours total. It's a bummer the quality was so bad and it fell apart so quickly. Not shopping here again.
Super cute jeans
So, I ordered these super cute skinny jeans way back in early January, and it's literally been over a month and I still haven't received my order. I've tried contacting them through their website multiple times and even messaged them on Instagram, but no luck. To make matters worse, not only did I have to pay extra for shipping, but I also had to dish out for customs fees on an item that hasn't even arrived yet. Not cool at all. Overall, I am not impressed with their service.
Recent sweatshirt purchase
So, I got this really cute sweatshirt from here and I was so pumped to wear it, but when it showed up, there was a tiny hole in it 😞 I sent an email to customer service right away, but they didn't reply for over a week! I was pretty bummed because I just wanted to rock my new sweatshirt and now I gotta wait even longer for a replacement. Not cool, man.
clothing for my daughter
I recently bought some stuff for my daughter at this store and I gotta say, the whole experience left me pretty disappointed. Everything was fine at the checkout, but later when I checked my bank account, turns out they double charged me for the items. So, I contacted customer service and let me tell you, they were no help at all. Gave me some vague excuses about it being a system error or a new thing they do. As a customer, I just wanted some honesty and clarity, which I didn't get from them. It's so frustrating to see companies trying to pull a fast one on customers like this.
