I’ve seen other companies make exceptions when the situation was obvious, so this felt needlessly rigid. Still, small surprise: nobody was rude and the support didn’t push back aggressively, so there’s that. In the end I lost $100 and learned to set a calendar reminder. Annoying and disappointing, mild respect for tone, but I can’t really recommend based on how they handled this.
