One smart speaker on sale
The software is honestly a disaster, especially when it comes to handling podcasts. Definitely not worth the high price. The customer service is just terrible. I won't be purchasing it again, that's for sure!
Multiple Sonos products
As a customer of the company, I gotta say that my experience hasn't been that great. The products are good quality, but they've been giving me problems. I bought 2 arcs, 2 era 300s, a roam, and a beam, and they've all had ongoing issues. The customer service is terrible, with agents who don't respond or provide any help. I don't want to buy from this company again.
Sonos Play
I got this Sonos Play thing from my kid a few years back, and lemme tell ya, when it's working right, it's pretty awesome. But gosh, the software on this thing is seriously chaotic. If the power goes out, good luck getting it back on without some major tech support. And trying to hook up another speaker to it? It's like tryna solve a puzzle! Dealing with this has been such a pain that I'm thinking of avoiding this brand in the future.
Sonos Roam smart speaker
I bought the Sonos Roam smart speaker thinking I could easily use voice assistants and connect it to Spotify for music. But, I ran into a bunch of problems with it not working properly and not being compatible with other stuff. I tried everything like updating apps and using different voice commands, but it just didn't do what it was supposed to. So, I ended up returning it because it didn't work well with the services I needed and the voice recognition was unreliable.
Sound system
I'm really disappointed with the sound system I bought recently. It's been a total pain. I had so many issues trying to get it connected and had to spend hours on the phone with customer service. And now the app is just driving me crazy. It takes forever to connect, keeps freezing, and I have to keep closing and reopening it all the time. It's frustrating and not at all what I expected from a supposedly top-of-the-line product. The interface is clunky, and I can't even listen to podcasts directly through the app, which should be a basic feature. The whole user experience is below average and definitely not worth the high price I paid for it.
Sonos Roam SL purchase
The hardware on the Sonos Roam SL is top-notch, but the software definitely needs some work. Many of us customers feel the same way - the software just doesn't measure up to the hardware. Having to keep location services on for the app is a big hassle, especially for those of us who value our privacy. And even when we do turn on location services, the app still has trouble connecting to the Roam SL, making the whole experience pretty frustrating. It's a letdown that Sonos seems more focused on pushing their software on us instead of making sure it actually works well. All in all, the software is lacking in quality and user-friendliness, which really brings down the value of the product.
Movie theatre setup with soundbar, subwoofer, and surround sound speakers.
I recently got these awesome gadgets that make me feel like I'm in an actual movie theatre, it's so cool! The sound quality is amazing, makes me feel like I'm right in the middle of all the action. Setting everything up was a breeze and the app to control it is really user-friendly. I would totally recommend this setup to any movie lover out there!
My purchase was a speaker for my room
I got this speaker for my room and it's pretty neat, but when I tried to hook it up to Spotify through Google Assistant, it just wasn't working. Spent a good 3 hours and 10 minutes on the phone with customer support today, but they couldn't fix it! They suggested calling Google Assistant, but neither Alexa nor Google Assistant could get Spotify going on the speaker. So annoying!
Initial Sonos purchase
I tried out this product right when it came out, and I thought it was really cool with its fancy software and new features. But as time went on, I noticed that the way you use it wasn't that great and the software itself was kinda clunky and hard to figure out. I'd suggest looking into getting Bluetooth speakers and using Spotify or something similar instead, because it might be a better experience overall. Honestly, I'm not too happy with how the product is right now.
Expensive Sonos speakers
I bought these speakers that were supposed to be top quality, but every time I go to use them, I have to reset everything because they won't connect properly. Even though I double-checked all the settings and didn't mess with anything, the app just can't seem to find my system. Now I don't even bother using the speakers because it's such a hassle and so annoying. Definitely wouldn't suggest them to anyone.
Recent purchase - speaker system with limited customization options
I recently bought a speaker system that really let me down because I can't change much about it. I spent a lot on these speakers, only to find out I can only use them with their own system. It's disappointing because my $600 subwoofer is useless without their specific app. These speakers won't work with my existing HiFi setup, which limits me as a consumer. If I want to upgrade any part of my speaker system later on, I'll have to stick with this brand only. It's annoying to be stuck in a closed system when it comes to audio gear. It's a good idea to do some research before buying speakers that restrict your choices. If you go for products that work with more things, you can make a better audio system for less money and still have options.
"Wireless speaker system"
My experience with the wireless speaker system has not been the greatest. Although the speakers sound good when they are connected, it's been a real pain trying to get them connected to Wi-Fi. No matter how many times I update or try to connect, they just keep disconnecting shortly after. I don't think I would suggest buying this system because there are nicer ones out there for a cheaper price. It's kind of annoying that the company hasn't fixed this issue yet, as it's making customers look for other options.
Wireless speaker system
My experience with the wireless speaker system has been disappointing, eh. Every time I try to play music, I run into a bunch of problems because it takes forever to log in, you know? It's really affecting my overall enjoyment and satisfaction with the product, ya know what I mean? I had high hopes for the quality and convenience of this system, but it just hasn't lived up to what I was expecting, eh.
Home audio system
The home audio system I bought from that brand was so disappointing because of the crappy software. The app always messed up, making the system cut out all the time and forget its settings. It was such a pain to try and listen to music because I had to keep resetting everything, and then still deal with more issues. The fact that they never improved their software over the years just shows they don't really care about how customers feel. I would definitely recommend not buying from this brand and instead finding a more trustworthy audio system somewhere else.
'Roam' speakers
I just bought the 'Roam' speakers and I'm really disappointed because they don't hold a charge for long and they're not charging properly, even when I use the charger that came with them. I tried emailing the CEO, Patrick, about the problem but didn't get a good response. It's frustrating to see a company that's supposed to be trustworthy not really care about their customers. I would advise others to think twice before buying anything from them.
Quality speakers, disappointing software
The speakers are awesome, can't complain about that. But dealing with the software is a total nightmare. At first, I could easily play music from my phone, no problem. But then there was an update, and that feature got turned off. It seems like they're pushing me to use certain streaming apps, which is really annoying. Customer service was no help at all, they said there was nothing they could do. So now my pricey speakers are just sitting there gathering dust. And on top of that, the fact that it doesn't have Bluetooth is frustrating, I have to rely on the internet to get it to work.
My new speaker sucks
The speakers are just not working because of the stupid software. It's so annoying how they aren't even functioning properly. And let me tell you, the company is trying to look all Eco-friendly while ditching their old speakers. I won't be purchasing from them ever again.
Big soundbox system
Ugh, this year has been such a disaster with that fancy sound system I bought. It cost a fortune and doesn't even work properly! I tried to upload my favorite music but the music apps just wouldn't cooperate. The apps on my phone and computer are completely different, it's so annoying! I looked it up online and it seems like everyone else is having the same issues. Why can't they just make it simple to play music? And seriously, $500 just to listen to the radio when Youtube and Spotify won't even function? I spent so much time trying to fix it, uninstalling and reinstalling, tweaking settings, only to fail in the end. Just give me a cord to plug into my laptop, that's all I need!
Sound quality, remote issues, outdated technology
I really like the sound quality of the product, it's really good. But having to rely on an app for control is kind of annoying and limiting. The constant updates are supposed to make things better, but instead, they bring new bugs and issues. Personally, I prefer more traditional equipment like Marantz and Celestion because they are more straightforward and reliable.
The IR pass-through on the Beam has made my TV almost useless, and the customer service solution of just turning it off and on again is not helpful at all. I've put a lot of money into my Sonos setup, which used to be amazing, but now I'm thinking about looking at other options for a more reliable Hi-Fi experience.Home audio equipment
I was really let down by the home audio equipment I bought. The company won't let me play my own tunes on the gear I spent my hard-earned money on, and that's not cool. I wouldn't suggest buying from them if you've got your own music collection.
