Car emergency fix
The service department at this location was so amazing and efficient! We had a car emergency and they were super quick in getting us back on the road. As soon as we arrived, they let us know they would check out the car right away. They did a full review and fixed the issue in only two hours. If it wasn't for their quick response, we would have missed out on seeing Johnny Reid in concert. A big thank you to the whole team for saving our weekend!
Patio umbrella
So, yesterday I decided to go buy a patio umbrella, eh? On the website it said they had 4 left in stock at the store. But when we got there, they brought out a beat up box that had already been opened. Nope, I was not taking that! And then, get this, the employee just stood there looking at me like a deer in headlights and said they only had 2 more at some offsite warehouse. Um, hello, I can do math - there's one still in the store, right? But did they go look for it? Nope! They just expected me to buy the crummy one in front of me, or just leave. So rude! 🙄 So yeah, we left and ended up getting one from Home Depot for way more money. Step up your game, man! 👎
Card table chair
I went to the store on Friday night around 7 o'clock to get a card table chair, but there weren't any staff around to assist me. The chairs were up on the back wall, making it tough to reach and none of them had prices marked. After struggling to grab one, I asked the cashier for the price, but she was really rude and not helpful at all. She didn't even try to find out the cost of the chair. Not a great experience, eh!
Oil Change Service
Oh man, so I went to this place to get my oil changed and let me tell you, the service was terrible. They charged me $103 and claimed they checked my coolant and windshield fluid, but they totally didn't do it! My cabin air filter needed to be replaced, but they told me it was fine. I am not happy with this at all. They should seriously rename themselves to "Canada's Most Dishonest Garage".
Air conditioner purchase
I bought a Noma air conditioner, and it wasn't working right when I started using it. Even my in-laws got the same one and had the same problems, but when we reached out to customer service, they were no help at all and not very nice about it. The warranty conveniently ended just before all the issues started happening, so we were stuck with a broken product. It seems like the company doesn't trust their own products if they only give a one-year warranty. Don't bother with this brand - it's not worth the trouble.
Tires and service
So, eh, I picked up these wicked tires at that place with all the awesome stuff, y'know? These tires are seriously top-notch, they make my drive way smoother and quieter. Plus, the service department was totally awesome, they were really helpful and friendly and fixed up my car real nice. I'm stoked about my purchase, it's gotta be the best decision I've made in a while, eh!
I bought a snow thrower
Went to the store and this super nice lady helped me find the perfect snow thrower. She kept looking until she found just the right one for my 62-year-old Grandma. And get this, she even put it together for her and helped us load it in the car. It was so incredibly nice of her!
Brake service
So, I headed over to the shop to get my brakes fixed, right? It was supposed to be a quick job, only 2 hours. But then they hit me with a 4-hour labor charge because they had to do extra stuff on my car that I didn't even know about. Like, what the heck, man? They didn't tell me beforehand or ask if I wanted it done. And get this, they pay their mechanics by the job, not by the hour, so like, are they just trying to rip me off or what? They wanted me to pay over 1000 dollars for a job that should have been way cheaper. And to top it off, they gave me my car back before the 4 hours was up but still charged me full price. It's not fair, man.
Garden hose
I bought a garden hose at the store last week, and I gotta say, I was really let down by the service I got. The folks working there were no help at all, seemed like they couldn't care less about helping me out. I even asked to talk to the manager, but they were so rude and didn't act professionally at all. The whole thing was just so frustrating, left me feeling like my concerns didn't matter at all. Hopefully, the store can fix these problems and step up their customer service game in the future.
4 new tires with a 6-year warranty
I bought 4 new tires last June in Winnipeg, and the salesperson talked me into getting a 6-year warranty. They said it would cover wear and tear, and recommended getting an alignment at their store. But after just one summer of driving, I noticed the tires were wearing out badly, which was dangerous. When I contacted Canadian Tire, different locations gave me conflicting information about my warranty coverage. When I went back to the store, the staff didn't take my concerns seriously and didn't admit they hadn't aligned my tires properly, causing the premature wear. Kal Tire confirmed it was a misaligned camber, not the bearings like Canadian Tire had said. I'm disappointed in the lack of accountability and honesty from Canadian Tire during the sale.
Business inquiry
I went to Canadian Tire to ask a simple question, hoping for a clear answer. But instead, the General Manager, Mike, gave me a strange and unprofessional response. Our conversation got weird when he mentioned a $10,000 fine, which had nothing to do with my question. When I tried to brush it off, Mike got hostile and started accusing me of having a bad attitude and being a bad employee, even though I don't work there. It was pretty ironic to see him acting the way he was accusing me of acting, especially as a General Manager. Mike's behaviour was totally out of line and unprofessional, and it left me really upset and shocked.
Dual-action hedge trimmer purchase
I just picked up a new hedge trimmer from the store, thinking it would help me spruce up my garden. But turns out, the darn thing doesn't have enough power to get the job done right. It's been a struggle trying to get the results I want.
Needed roadside assistance
That was the worst service I've ever experienced! I was stranded in the middle of a road, trees all around me, and the person on the phone just kept asking me what I could see. I even gave them my exact location, but they said it wasn't helpful. The firefighters tried to assist, but the tow truck never arrived because they couldn't locate me. What a waste of money!
Car parts
I bought some car parts from this place and they ended up being no good. The service was awful, the staff didn't help at all. The management should make sure they have better quality products in stock. It was a terrible experience that's made me not want to shop here ever again.
Headlight replacement appointment
I went to the store on Cambie to get my headlight replaced. At first, the staff was nice and booked me in for the next day. But when I got there, it was a mess. They were unorganized and gave me wrong info, so I ended up waiting 4 hours for a simple bulb change, which is way too long. They were rude and unprofessional, which made it even worse. I wouldn't suggest going there unless you have hours to spare and don't mind being treated poorly.
Tire purchase
I bought tires at Canadian Tire the other day and wasn't happy with the service. The supervisor at the South Common store told me to get new tires installed at a car dealership, which I didn't think was right. I go to Canadian Tire because of their helpful staff, but this time they let me down.
Display item
I went to the store in Pickering and had the worst experience with their so-called 'service.' The seasonal manager, named Austin, was about as helpful as a screen door on a submarine. All I wanted to do was take a closer look at a display item on the shelf, but Austin made it seem like I was asking for the moon on a stick. He was rude, dismissive, and just not helpful at all. I was basically told to either buy it without looking or leave. It's a sad day when the captain of the ship can't even do their job properly. I left the store feeling more confused than a chameleon in a bag of Skittles. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere - Home Depot, as per Austin's suggestion. Yep, even he thinks you should shop somewhere else.
Car battery jump start
So I bought this car battery jump start service from this place, and man, what a total mess. The guy took forever to get there, and he didn't even show up when he said he would. The customer service was really bad, and the staff at the store weren't helpful at all. Don't bother with this place for your car needs, go somewhere else.
Brake replacement and tune-up
I went to the Orleans branch early in the morning to get my brakes changed and tune-up my car. They kept me in the loop all day about how things were going with my vehicle. The people there knew what they were doing, acted professional, and explained everything well when I asked. By the afternoon, my car was good to go, and the cost was fair for the work they did.
Bought a crappy hairdryer
So yeah, I bought this hairdryer from the store and it's honestly pretty weak. My old one was way better even though they had the same watts. This one feels more like a travel dryer pretending to be a regular one. And to top it off, they won't even give me a refund! Now I'm stuck with this useless thing and I can't even test out other dryers. Such a disappointment, eh.
