after I placed the order I had questions and got replies from three different people. All polite, all helpful, which honestly caught me off guard. They answered even my dumb follow-ups, so thumbs up for that. The umbrella itself is decent — when it’s open it feels surprisingly sturdy in direct sun and gives good coverage for the loveseat and a chair; I was relieved, really. Now the less great bits: the light switch isn’t where the manual shows — it’s tucked at the tip of the centre rib, which took me a while to find and was annoying. Also the crank is stiff; turning it to raise the canopy takes effort. I’m tempted to ask customer service about using a little lubricant like Slip‑It or WD‑40, but I don’t want to void anything, so I’ll call them again. One small wish: the base sand weight limit should be higher than 149 lb — I’d feel safer at 199 lb. It does creak and swivel a bit in wind, but it stays put for the most part. All told I’d recommend it if you want good shade and sensible price, just be ready for a couple of fiddly bits.
