Misleading positive reviews
ServiceEh, don't be fooled by those fake positive reviews, eh. This company, I tell ya, they don't have any sorta customer support at all. Yeah, they might have a few okay deals every now and then, but if somethin' goes wrong or you gotta make a change, you're pretty much on your own. The local hotels are just average, and if things really go south, you can always find another one close by. But when it comes to flights or vacations, I'd suggest stayin' away to avoid gettin' mixed up in a mess with this sorry excuse for a company, eh.
About Hotwire
Hotwire is a travel website that operates as a subsidiary of Expedia Group. It was founded in 2000 by Karl Peterson, Eric Grosse, Gregg Brockway, and Spencer Rascoff. The company specializes in offering discounted rates for travel-related services, including hotel stays, car rentals, and airline tickets, through a model known as "opaque" inventory. This means that the specific details of the product (like the name of the hotel or airline) are not revealed until after the purchase has been completed, allowing service providers to sell unsold inventory at lower prices without publicly cutting their standard rates. Over the years, Hotwire has gained popularity among budget-conscious travelers looking for deals while maintaining some flexibility in their travel plans.
