Unexpectedly comfy trip
Unexpectedly comfy trip
ServiceTwo short naps, too much airport coffee, and somehow Etihad made the whole trip easy. Check-in was quick, crew were polite and actually paid attention, and the seats were surprisingly comfy — I could stretch my legs, which matters to me. Meals were solid. After a cramped flight elsewhere recently, this felt like a nice change.
Almost there, but not quite

ServiceOn my fourth business trip with them I finally relaxed a bit. The flight started out rough — hard seat, paid extras, skimpy entertainment. I use these flights for work, daily-ish travel between cities, so timing matters. The moment I felt satisfied was when the crew sorted a power issue and the in-seat Wi‑Fi actually worked long enough to finish a presentation. Simple thing, but it saved the day. Still room to improve though.
Limited meal choices, weak support
Limited meal choices, weak support
Servicedisappointed with meal choices and with support, though the trip itself was fine. I first noticed the issue while booking online. A friend had tipped me to try Etihad, so I was surprised. My mother is pescatarian and I couldn't find a seafood meal option. On other carriers, like Emirates, that's been easy. I phoned the call centre. The agent couldn't help. I sent emails. No reply. The web help centre gave nothing useful. That lack of follow-up felt sloppy. Flights were on time. Crew were okay. So it's not a total fail. But for a carrier I pick regularly it's annoying. They could fix this with a simple menu update and better follow-up. Small changes would make a big difference. Still, the basic service works. I will fly again, but I'll call ahead next time.
Lost luggage incident

ServiceI recently had a really bad experience with this airline, eh? My luggage got broken into and some of my stuff got stolen during the flight, bud. When I told customer service about it, they just gave me a useless answer and said my suitcase only had a little damage, eh. They wouldn't take responsibility for the stolen stuff and didn't offer any compo, bud. This airline is a disgrace and you shouldn't trust 'em, eh. They're just a bunch of thieves taking advantage of us customers, bud.
Delayed baggage claim

ServiceI was so disappointed with the customer service I got from an airline I used recently. When I picked up my baggage at London Heathrow Airport, I saw that it was all messed up. I quickly went to the airline's desk to tell them what happened and they gave me a number to use for making a claim online. I did everything they asked, sent in pictures of my wrecked luggage, and then had to wait for a response. But then I got an email saying my case was closed, with no explanation or compensation. When I tried to find out more about what happened, they just gave me another reference number and the same lousy outcome. This airline's customer service is terrible and really unprofessional. They clearly don't care about their customers or our stuff. I recommend steering clear of this airline whenever you can.

ServiceI just went on a trip with my baby, and unfortunately, my family got split up because there weren't enough seats on the plane. I tried talking to customer service to fix it, but they weren't very helpful and kind of blew me off. The people on the phone didn't seem to care or want to help me out, which made me super frustrated and lonely on the flight. I had to deal with everything by myself, and the airline didn't offer any help or comfort.
Long-haul flight experience from UK to Australia
Long-haul flight experience from UK to Australia
ServiceThe baggage rules and prices were okay, but the flight itself was pretty plain. The A380 to Abu Dhabi was nice, but the Boeing Skyliner to and from Sydney was a bit tight and not too comfy for the super long 17-hour trip. The entertainment selection was not great, with not many movies or music to pick from, and no live TV or WiFi. The food and drink choices were pretty basic too.

Service
My family and I recently flew with a certain airline from Johannesburg to Abu Dhabi and I have to say, the flight was pretty good overall, all thanks to the incredible service from the flight attendants. In particular, Ashleigh Marigano and Rim Zouaoui really went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our section was well looked after. Their hard work, dedication, and professionalism made the flight a fun and memorable experience for everyone. Even when dealing with difficult passengers, they stayed cool, respectful, and positive throughout the whole journey.
But I have to say, the service on the flight back from Abu Dhabi to Manchester was not as great. The level of service from the flight attendants was noticeably lacking compared to our previous flight, which was a bit of a letdown.
Business Class flight to India
Business Class flight to India
ServiceI recently got to fly Business Class to India with my wife from LHR. Gotta say, the service during the flight was top-notch. Seats were comfy and the whole time was great. But, there was a miss during our journey. Unfortunately, my wife's Summer hat went missing at some point. Seems like it got lost when the crew moved it from the overhead locker without telling us. We only noticed it was gone after we left the airport. We've tried reaching out to customer service at Delhi Airport and on our flight back from India, but we still haven't gotten a proper fix. It's been more than 2 months since we first brought it up, and even though we've been promised they're looking into it, we haven't seen any results. The lack of follow-up and solution has left us disappointed and questioning the airline's customer service. Despite the flights being great and the cabin crew being awesome, how this was handled has definitely changed our overall experience.
