Coffee-and-confirm

Coffee in hand, I hit confirm twice before the portal froze — annoying. After logging back in and waiting, the booking finally went through and the miles were deducted correctly. Not perfect — slow and clunky, but it worked for our family trip.

Surprisingly okay

I first saw them on an airport poster and my sister tipped me to try a cheap fare. I expected chaos. Booking was clunky, but customer service actually helped, and my bags arrived on time — weirdly relieved. Not perfect, but happy it worked out.

Surprisingly smooth, thanks to a friend

I first spotted their offer on a travel blog, and a friend actually nudged me to give them a shot — glad I did. The ticket showed up in my inbox way sooner than I expected, which already made me breathe a bit easier. I did hit a snag with a last-name correction and braced for a big fee, but the customer service agent I got was calm, patient and walked me through options. The hold time wasn't great, but once connected they solved it without fuss and kept me updated by email. Delivery of the e-ticket and receipts was tidy and on time. Overall relieved and happy; worth recommending to pals.

Back-to-back booking headaches

did I just pay for seats that weren’t really there? Tried to change things myself but there’s no option on their site, which surprised me because every other carrier I’ve used lets you swap seats easily. Spent about two hours on live chat — which was tiring — and the agent did eventually move us, and honestly she was polite and worked with me. The annoying bit: she didn’t tell me I wouldn’t get back the fare difference between the original and new seats, even though I asked first. So I’m down about £100 now, which left a bad taste. Also had to request kids’ meals through chat, again — no online request. I’ve asked for a formal complaint route and been promised a callback; I won’t hold my breath but maybe they’ll surprise me. Overall, some small bright spots (the rep tried), but my initial worries mostly stuck around.

Flight booking experience

I tried booking a flight on their website, and let me tell you, it was a total disaster! The info and prices I saw didn't match up with what was on their official site. I spent three whole days trying to get my booking sorted out, jumping between my computer and their app, but no luck - their system and data just weren't lining up. It's wild to think that a big airline like that would have such big problems with their website in this day and age.

Booking flight with miles

Oh man, I was so annoyed with the Etihad website! I was trying to use my miles to book a flight, but then it all went wrong at the payment stage. I had to pick up the phone and argue with them about their misleading ads. So annoying! And on top of that, they only allow miles for direct flights - so unfair! And can you believe they charge extra for seats, even though their prices are already sky-high? Ugh, so frustrating!

Difficulty using credit voucher

Sorry, eh, but I can't get into my voucher cause of a password problem. And to top it off, I can only reach customer service by email. Plus, they're charging extra to call in. It's taking forever to get this sorted out and the support has been pretty terrible, to be honest. Not impressed with the service or the way things are being handled, eh.
