Four dock buddy's
I wish I could give zero stars if that was possible! I recently bought four dock buddies, but only got three in my order. And to top it off, I was still charged for all four on my credit card. I've tried contacting customer service by email several times but haven't heard back from them. When I tried calling, I was on hold for over 20 minutes each time before eventually giving up out of frustration. Stay away from this company, they'll scam you and never deal with any issues.
Lifejacket purchase
I bought a lifejacket from that store, but it's not working right. It just sinks in the water like a rock, so unsafe!
Responded to complaints about slow response times, received unhelpful response to cancel order.
I've been feeling pretty frustrated lately, just like a lot of other folks on this site. I waited 16 whole days for a reply about my order, and when I finally got one, it was basically just telling me to cancel if I didn't feel like waiting anymore. It's kind of a letdown to see that the customer service at this store isn't really about helping customers, but more about avoiding taking responsibility. And on top of that, finding out that Overton's and Camping World are basically the same company is worrying, because it means we don't really have many choices if we want to go somewhere else.
High-priced item ordered in July 2022
I'm really upset with Overton's. I ordered something back in July 2022, and it's been nine months and I still haven't gotten it. They told me multiple times it was on its way from the manufacturer, but turns out they never even paid for it or sent it out. Now I'm out of money and still don't have my item. They even lied about crediting my account back. I had to report them to my credit card company to try and get my money back. It's pretty clear that Overton's can't be trusted. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from them because they don't keep their promises and they're not honest in their business dealings.
Boat deck vinyl purchase
I bought some boat deck vinyl from Overton's right before heading down south for the winter. The professional installer opened up the flooring package in January and found out that the vinyl was messed up. I tried to get some help from Customer Service, but they just told me to reach out to the manufacturer instead. I was pretty disappointed because I thought Overton's should have owned up to selling me a faulty product.
3 Waters Big Fish 120 Kayak
I got lucky and snagged a great deal on a kayak online, which convinced me to buy it. Ordering was easy and stress-free. I liked getting an email letting me know my kayak had been shipped, it made it feel more personal. It arrived quickly and was well packaged, so it was in perfect shape. I'm really happy with my purchase and the service I got.
Teak table
I bought this huge teak table from the store not long ago. It's way bigger than I expected, making it hard to fit into my space. I've been trying to return it for the past 4 weeks, but the customer service has been so bad that I haven't been able to. Now I'm thinking I might have to take legal action to sort this out.
I bought a prop from their weird app
Yeah, so I got this prop from that weird app they have to find the right one, right? But can you believe it? They sent me the WRONG one! And it's all because of their stupid link. I tried to email the CEO, but that didn't do anything. I've called them a ton of times, and they still haven't sorted it out. Now I'm stuck with a worthless prop and no cash left. Ugh.
Longboard purchase
Careful, this company is shady! I placed an order for a longboard on June 3rd and it still hasn't arrived. They charged me right away and now they're not picking up my calls. Avoid shopping here!
Dock lights purchase
I'm so frustrated with the dock lights I bought from this company. I should have listened to the bad reviews. I got them on sale, but after waiting three weeks, I only got half of what I ordered. And to make things worse, they sent me the wrong ones that I can't even use. They won't respond to my emails, and when I finally reached someone on chat, they couldn't tell me when the right ones would be sent, even though they are still available. If you want to avoid a headache, stay away from this company and buy from your local boat shop instead.
Life jackets with expedited shipping
I bought three life jackets that I really needed, eh, and I paid extra for faster shipping. But, oh no, none of them showed up on time! The first one took two whole weeks to get here, the second one took four weeks, and the third is nowhere to be found. It's just not right to shell out more money for quicker shipping and not get the stuff when you need it, you know?
Kayaks and accessories
I ordered some kayaks and accessories a few weeks back, and I'm still waiting for them to ship out. I know things might be delayed because of the pandemic, but it's been dragging on for way too long. I tried calling customer service, but the wait times are a total nightmare, and I always end up getting disconnected. I'm really not happy with the service at all.
Bought cool stuff
I was hoping to buy four things, but they were all pretty much sold out. So I ended up ordering three of them for later, like way down the road. And then, the one thing that was actually available took forever to ship! So now I'm stuck waiting for ages to get it. Not cool at all, eh.
Trying to unsubscribe from email list
I've been trying to get off their mailing list for four months now, eh? I've called multiple times and been told I'd be taken off, but I'm still getting spam emails. I even emailed the President of the company, but no luck. It's been really frustrating and I'm pretty disappointed with their customer service. Seems like the problem starts with the President, so hopefully they can do better with communication and customer relations in the future, eh?
Water carpet purchase for son's birthday
I ordered a water carpet for my son's birthday from this online store because it promised to come in time for his big day. But man, what a total disaster it turned out to be! I spent $800 on this thing and you'd think I'd get some decent customer service, right? Nope, none of that. They barely even bothered to keep me in the loop about when it was gonna arrive. And when it did finally show up, it was all beat up with holes from a forklift. I tried calling them up, but I was stuck on hold forever and hardly got any help. I even signed up for their good Sam card thinking I'd get special deals in the future, but now I wish I had checked out some reviews first.
Difficult Return Process
My experience with this company was kind of a letdown, eh. Trying to use their automated return system was a real pain, ya know. So, after dealing with all that frustration, I decided to give their customer service a call for some help, eh. The lady on the line told me I had to send back the stuff in two separate boxes, which just seemed like a big hassle, eh. Feeling pretty peeved, I called back again for more info, eh. After being on the phone for what felt like forever, I finally got a return label from a guy, eh. But even that didn't end my irritation, eh. Got an email later on saying to contact the company president for any other problems, but the email address they gave me was no good, eh. All in all, I was left feeling miffed and pretty bummed out about how this company's customer service and communication are, eh.
