Gift card drama, but it worked

Almost skipped the card. Used it Sunday; sceptical, then pleasantly surprised.

Quick grab, mixed feelings

Needed simple tops for packing up during a move — they feel cheap but wearable, fit okay. Used self-checkout to avoid staff drama, handy that I could keep the hangers, honestly, small relief.

The sweater actually felt soft and sat nicely on me, warm enough even on windy days, but dealing with their refund process was a nightmare - slow replies, no sense of urgency. I've bought elsewhere and it's smoother.

Lunch-break pant hunt

Right in the middle of my lunch break I checked M&S because my sister swore by their short-length pants; of course every short size was gone. I eventually ordered one pair — fits fine, but restocks are glacial.

Took a chance on a sale find
5 reviews
I first spotted it on their site during a sale — a friend raved, so I ordered for in-store pickup. I worried about stock, and five days later they emailed it's unavailable. They refunded quickly and offered alternatives, so pretty happy, though not perfect.

Started rocky, ended okay
10 reviews
Not great at first, but sorted eventually. I ordered a chair last week for my home office, wanted next-day delivery, and they shipped the wrong model. At first they said they'd pick it up and couldn't promise a time — annoying — and refund would take 3–4 days, plus I had to reorder the right chair. It took calls but eventually got refunded.

Evri is a dealbreaker

I won't shop here while you use Evri - that's my conclusion. Two parcels vanished, and it's frustrating because I've had better luck with Royal Mail and other retailers. Please give a Royal Mail option; it's not perfect, but better.

my Saturday run in the full set — warm, comfy, no drama. Nice to end on a good note and slightly relieved.

Surprising relief
23 reviews
Honestly, glad I stuck with them — needed extra socks for a chaotic move and my feet were killing me. I was skeptical when pickup was bumped to ten days, felt like the old company had slipped. But the socks are solid, service helpful, so yeah, I'll probably order again, eventually.

the online status did update, so maybe they're trying, but it's messy, annoying and I probably won't trust click-and-collect here again.

Unexpectedly okay after a rough start
7 reviews
I was on the fence before I ordered — worried about horror stories with customer support and late deliveries. I called the minute a delivery didn’t show and, yep, the hold music was brutal and I got put on hold a few times. Still, the rep eventually found my order and processed a refund fast. First impression messy, but I left relieved and kind of impressed.

Glitchy checkout but staff helped

don't use guest checkout if you can, call the store if something goes wrong. Glad it worked out in the end.

Surprise back-saver during a move
3 reviews
a handwritten sticker on the parcel saying 'enjoy' (tiny surprise), and the return label already in the box — made me laugh. Took a little while for confirmation emails, sure, but product nailed it. Will use again, cautiously optimistic. Price felt fair, too.

Mid-coffee alert
29 reviews
I was mid-coffee when my banking app lit up with a withdrawal from Marks & Spencer — odd, because they’d just been sorting a refund. Cue a few frantic calls and some exasperated sighing. The weird bit was that the charge didn’t match any of my orders, so I assumed a mix-up or worse. Felt a little better when their finance team said they were investigating (tiny relief). Not ideal — check your statements and hang on to receipts, honestly.

Coffee, parcels and patience

soft knit, good weight; the jeans fit and didn’t rub after errands. I’ve worn them a few times — casual office, grocery runs, visiting friends — they feel like reliable staples. But getting the promised delivery refund was a pain; phoning their South Africa centre three times before it finally showed up. It’s not about the five bucks, more the principle.

Early drop, wrong items
7 reviews
delivery text said Monday but they showed up Saturday — great, until they dropped the wrong pieces. We paid over £400 for two bedside tables and ended up with a nest of tables and a different bedside unit. Spent 45 minutes on hold trying customer service, which was pointless — long wait, then an agent whose English was hard to parse, so it took forever to explain. They've re-ordered the correct items but now it's another two-week wait, and the wrong boxes are clogging my bathroom. It's annoying, and you feel stuck with furniture you didn't want while you wait. One small good bit: they were quick to promise a replacement, at least it's in motion. My advice — call and get photos confirmed before they send anything, and don't trust text confirmation. I won't risk ordering pieces from them.

Mid-bite realisation
7 reviews
too much gristle, odd bits that don’t belong in a pie you pay a premium for. What actually made me satisfied, oddly, wasn’t the pie itself but how they handled it when I complained. The team listened, asked for photos and offered a straightforward refund — that’s rare and it mattered. So yes, the product wasn’t perfect, and I won’t buy that specific chef-labelled pie again, but the experience overall wasn’t a disaster. If you try it, inspect it and keep your receipt; if you’re fussy about meat quality, skip it. For others who just want a decent meal and decent backing, it’ll do.

Front-display awkwardness, good fit though
1 reviews
the fitting room was a fair distance from the display so the fitter kept trekking back and forth with bras, which slowed things down and felt inefficient. Overall I left feeling relieved about the fit and less achy, but still think the store layout could be handled better for privacy and flow. Worth going for the fitting, just expect a bit of fuss with the layout.

Finally tried the jeans, still spotty stock

nothing available in that length in any style. I did eventually find one pair in a store further away and tried them on, so I can at least say how they feel. The denim is midweight, not the stiff kind, a little bit of give but not stretchy like leggings — just enough to move. Waist sat where I expect a W36 to sit, though after sitting for a while the back rides up a touch, so you might want a belt. Leg length at L35 was actually fine when hemmed properly; without hemming they puddle a bit, so keep that in mind. Pockets are shallow, I noticed my phone bobbed up, which is annoying, and the fly feels a bit loose — not a big deal but noticeable. Customer service over the phone was polite, helpful-ish, but they missed that I specifically wanted 35-inch leg length — had to repeat myself. Being told to drive 16 miles to another store is not practical, well, not for me anyway. Overall I like the fabric and the fit once you have the right length, but availability is the real pain. If they sorted stock for common sizes this would be an easy pick; as it stands, you might spend extra time hunting or paying for hemming.
