Me not liking signed-up paid account
I'm not happy with my paid account, eh. I've been trying to cancel since 2018, and now it's 2022. JibJab keeps auto-renewing every year, eh. Every year, I have to fill out a refund form and ask to cancel, eh. I think they do this on purpose to trick people and not tell them about the charges, eh.
Two-year membership sign-up
Making videos was fun, eh, but canceling was a total pain in the butt. I signed up for a two-year membership, but the company kept renewing it without even asking me. No matter how hard I tried to cancel, they just kept charging me. Their customer service was no help at all and they kept making these bogus promises about not renewing my membership. I had to go to drastic lengths like shutting down all my bank accounts and canceling all my credit cards just to stop them from charging me again.
Auto renew charge
I totally get where you're coming from. I had a similar thing happen with a company's auto renewal system once. I only used their service once, and then two years later I saw a pending charge on my account. It's just not right that these companies don't bother to give customers a heads up before charging them again, especially if their accounts have been quiet. It's a real shame for the business world, and something should definitely be done about it, either by slapping them on the wrist or changing the rules. It's really worrying to think about how many other folks, especially those who might be more at risk, are getting charged for services they don't even use anymore without even realizing it. If these companies were as quick to tell us about changes to our payment details as they are to take our money, none of this mess would happen. They need to do better.
Subscription purchase mistake
I ended up buying a subscription I didn't actually want, but thank goodness the customer service team was super quick in getting back to me and sorting out a refund right away. I was kinda nervous about having to wait forever for a response and my money back, but they totally went above and beyond in how quickly and professionally they handled everything. I'm really grateful for the smooth process and I'll definitely be thinking about using their services again down the road.
Annual subscription cancellation
I've been trying to cancel my yearly subscription for years now, but I just can't seem to get it done. It's like they're purposely making it impossible for customers to cancel. I've reached out to them multiple times, but haven't heard back at all. I haven't even used their service in years, but they keep charging me! I'm honestly shocked by how unethical their business practices are.
Subscription disappointment
Don't bother with this subscription service, it's not worth the trouble. The cards are boring and not very creative, so you end up regretting the time you spent trying to make them special. The website is hard to use and just makes things more annoying. And after all that effort making your card, you can't even download it - you have to share a link full of JibJab ads instead. It's really disappointing to see your video get buried like that. Save yourself the stress and find a different service that's actually easy to use.
Video greeting cards for family and colleagues
I've been using the video greeting cards from this company for a few years now, for my family and colleagues. I gotta say, the videos always make everyone smile. They're super funny and have become a tradition for us on special occasions. And on top of that, the customer service is amazing. They always help me with any questions or problems, and sometimes they reply within hours, even on holidays. I'm really happy with the service they offer.
Misleading subscription charge
I signed up for a monthly subscription but got charged for a full year all at once. And it looks like lots of other people are having a hard time canceling their subscriptions too. This company seems pretty shady and I'm thinking about taking legal action. I don't like how they do business and I'm ready to stand up against them.
Subscription renewal
The company won't let you cancel the auto-renewal, and they've added bugs on purpose to stop you from cancelling. Plus, they ask for way too much personal info when you're trying to add new faces. It's such a obvious scam, and the customer service is terrible. It's sad to see how much this company has declined in the last ten years. Be careful about subscribing, because it might be super hard to stop those unwanted renewals.
Subscription pricing deception
The website says it's $2 a month for a subscription but they actually charge you $24 upfront for the whole year. I was surprised by this because I only wanted to send one card. Just make sure to watch out for those sneaky charges.
E-card subscription
I signed up for this e-card subscription and it's been a total nightmare. This company is so sneaky - they keep charging my credit card without asking me first! I've tried contacting them multiple times to get a refund or cancel, but they don't even bother getting back to me. Dealing with a company like this is just so frustrating. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these guys.
Paid video creation
Total waste of time, eh? I made a video, just to find out I gotta pay to see and share it. If I knew that from the start, I would've reconsidered spending my time on it. Feels like they're tricking you - letting you make a video, then holding it ransom until you cough up some cash. Not impressed, eh.
Fradulent charges
This company is just awful, eh? My poor old mom, who's got dementia, got a charge on her bank statement from this shady organization, eh? It's terrible how they prey on vulnerable people like her. She doesn't even have a cell phone, so there's no way she would've given her info willingly, eh? They must've cold called her, even though her number is on the do not call list. It's just disgusting, eh?
Purchased monthly subscription
I was so pumped to try out the service and make some cool videos to share with my buds and fam. But then, my excitement turned into a total bummer when I found out that the videos I made were getting removed from Instagram and Facebook because of copyright stuff. I was really looking forward to flexing my creative muscles, so this was a major letdown. I decided to cancel my subscription right away, only an hour after signing up, because it was obvious this service wasn't going to cut it for me.
Single card purchase
I was so disappointed with how this company does subscriptions. They try to make you commit for a whole year when all you want is just one card. I'm not willing to back a company that won't let customers buy only what they actually need. It's too bad cause I really liked their cards, but I can't support this sneaky way of doing business.
Auto-renewal notification
The auto-renewal thing is kind of sneaky and can end up surprising customers with charges they weren't expecting. And if the product isn't even that great in the long run, it just adds to the frustration. It's just not cool to see companies using these tactics to make more money. I'd recommend keeping an eye out and being careful when you come across this kind of stuff.
Video creation from uploaded pictures
I gotta say, I really liked using the platform, eh. It was super easy to get around and make my own personalized video with all my pics. Perfect for sending out to fam and pals, ya know? And the best part is it saves me some dough compared to regular cards. But, I did run into a bit of trouble with the email sharing. Seemed like it wasn't working too well or was slow depending on who I was sending it to. Despite that hiccup, I'm gonna keep using it for the rest of the year, for sure.
