Room booking in Canada
What a terrible experience booking a room through this company, eh? I thought I found a good deal for a room in Canada, only to realize it was in USD after I booked, eh. When I checked in, I was shocked to see the cost was almost $200 more than I expected, eh. Customer service was no help at all and didn't offer any compensation for their misleading practices. Just awful business ethics, eh. I hope they go out of business, eh.
Regent Hotel in Revelstoke, booking
I booked this hotel on a website and it was honestly the worst experience I've ever had! The room was disgusting and stunk like old socks. The view from the window was just pigeons and gravel. I complained right away and checked in and out, but the website people kept giving me the runaround. They said they needed to confirm with the hotel the next day, but there was no manager available. I filed a big complaint but didn't get a refund or any assistance to resolve the issue. I definitely won't be using this website again.

I had a bad experience with that company recently. I couldn't change or cancel a reservation I made for a visiting instructor, even though my email said I could. So, like, I had this bad experience with a booking site that I thought was legit, but turns out it's a third party. I had to make some changes to my reservations super last minute, and ended up booking and canceling in less than 12 hours. And get this, they charged me for a night stay and this crazy high tax recovery fee. After doing some digging, I found out they're based in Columbia and basically just scamming people. As someone who handles stuff for a big company, I'm gonna be sending out an email tomorrow warning everyone to be careful and not use that site for booking.

Eh, my experience with this company was a big letdown. I thought I was booking directly with the hotel on their website, but turns out they went through Expedia and tacked on an extra fee of $67.50. The tax and fee estimates were way off, and they kept the extra money. And when I had to leave early because of an injury, they wouldn't refund the $300 I paid for the nights I didn't use.
