Floods in Dubai and stuck in Dubai
Floods in Dubai and stuck in Dubai
CancellationOh man, my family got stranded in Dubai because of those dumb floods, so we ended up missing our trip to Mauritius. We had booked a hotel online, and it was just a complete nightmare. The hotel actually tried to charge us even though we couldn't make it due to the floods. Dealing with their customer service was a total nightmare too.
Hospitalization in Greek hotel
Hospitalization in Greek hotel
CancellationI've been a loyal customer of this company for a while now, and I wanted to share a recent frustrating experience I had with my booking. While I was on vacation at a hotel on a Greek Island, I suddenly got really sick and had to go to the hospital. Because of this, I had to leave the hotel a night earlier than planned. When I asked for a refund for that unused night, Hotels.com said no and asked for a bunch of documents and proof. This whole situation made me feel like they were being unfair, dishonest, and not treating me right. I'm not sure if I want to keep using their services after this.

CancellationJust a heads up, be careful when booking with this agent. They randomly canceled my booking and it was really frustrating. I definitely wouldn't recommend using them.
Hotel booking experience
Hotel booking experience
CancellationMy recent experience booking a hotel through this platform was a letdown, eh. I had reserved a hotel, but it got canceled last minute, leaving me in a tough spot. They tried to blame the hotel, but I think the platform should take responsibility for their suppliers and make sure my experience goes more smoothly, you know?
Refundable booking turned non-refundable
Refundable booking turned non-refundable
CancellationI thought I had booked a room that I could cancel and get my money back later, but they ended up taking my money right away! When I tried to cancel a couple days later, they basically told me too bad, no refund for you. It was really tough to actually get in touch with them, but when I finally did, they were not helpful whatsoever. I'm definitely not using them again, I'd much rather just book directly with the hotel next time!
Booking disaster
Booking disaster
CancellationI had a horrible time booking a room through this online platform. Even after I paid in full, the hotel ended up canceling my reservation and selling the room to someone else for the next night. So now I'm stuck without a room and $867 down the drain. I definitely wouldn't recommend using this service if you don't want to risk losing your money.
Room booking nightmare
Room booking nightmare
CancellationWow, let me tell you, my experience with that booking website was just terrible. I booked a room ahead of time but when I got to the hotel, my reservation was cancelled with no heads up. I didn't even get any money back, and I had to quickly find two other hotels to stay in three different rooms for three nights. It was a total mess.
Hotel bookings for a 6-week holiday in China and Japan
Hotel bookings for a 6-week holiday in China and Japan
CancellationI just sorted out all my hotel stays for a big 6-week getaway in China and Japan using an online platform. I've been using this site to book my hotels for a while now because they've always come through for me in the past. One thing that really wowed me this time around was how quickly they refunded me when I had to cancel or switch a booking. They sent the cash right back to my credit card without any fuss, unlike other third-party sites that can take forever to give you your money back. It's important to me to be able to get my money back when I need to, because my travel plans tend to change a lot. Hotels.com really made it easy for me to do that. On top of that, I like how straightforward their prices are. They don't hit you with any surprise fees, taxes, or other charges after you've picked a hotel, unlike some other booking sites. I'm happy with the service I got and I'd recommend it to anyone else looking to book a spot to stay.
