Laptop purchase
The store had this laptop advertised as being in stock, so my partner went there to buy it. To our disappointment, it wasn't actually available. They then tried to get her to buy a more expensive one, but she said no and planned to come back the next day. When she went back, they told her it still wasn't in stock and tried to get her to buy an even pricier model. The website still said it was in stock, so I think they were just trying to make more money off of us. I would steer clear of this store at all costs.
Phone charger purchase at Oshawa Mall
I swung by the Source store at Oshawa Mall to grab a new phone charger. The guy working there, Ruhaul, was super helpful and knew his stuff. He didn't just help me find the right charger, but also talked to me about different phone plans. By the time we were done chatting, I ended up buying a new phone and moving all four of my lines to a different provider, all because he suggested better deals. I really appreciated him saving me some cash and getting me more data for my gadgets. All in all, it was a solid shopping trip and I'd totally recommend the store to anyone.
Overpriced, poor service
So, y'know, I went to this store the other day to buy something and it was just such a mess. The salesperson there wasn't much help at all, kept answering the phone and helping other folks while I was just standing there. Seemed like they didn't have a clue what they were supposed to be doin', couldn't even figure out how to ring up my order. Eventually, I just gave up and didn't bother buyin' anything 'cause I couldn't deal with their complete lack of skill. It was just a terrible experience all around.
Apple Watch purchase online
I recently bought an Apple Watch online and when it arrived, the box was open from the bottom and the watch was missing. I reached out to The Source, but haven't gotten a good fix for the problem yet. The customer service was not great because they quickly pointed fingers at the shipping company without looking into it more. It's been a whole week now and I still don't know what's going on with my order. I'm really let down by how The Source is handling this and I won't be buying anything else from them online because of this.
Purchased various products
The customer service at this spot is top-notch. The staff is super friendly, really know their stuff, and carry themselves like total pros. They really go the extra mile to make sure customers are taken care of. I found everything I needed and the fact that this place is right in Gander at The Source Power Center is such a huge bonus.
Cell phone screen saver and tablet case purchase
I recently bought a screen protector for my cell phone and a case for my tablet at The Source on Kingston Gardiners Rd, and I had a really great experience. The employees, Alex and Dhairya, were so helpful and attentive. Since I'm 83 years old, I needed some assistance and guidance with my purchases, and they both went above and beyond to help me out. They were really friendly, polite, and patient the whole time. I also appreciated how they helped me install the screen protector and tablet case. This isn't the first time I've had a good experience at this store. My last visit in late August was also fantastic, even though I can't remember the names of the employees who helped me back then. I'll definitely be going back to the store soon because I'm having some issues with a wireless mouse I bought from there recently. I'm sure the staff will be able to help me out based on my past experiences. Overall, I'm really happy with the customer service and knowledge shown by the staff at this location.
My new headphones
Eh bud, just scored these sweet new headphones from this place and let me tell ya, the website is so rough. Couldn't even check on my order 'cause every time I logged in, it booted me out! Like, what's that all aboot? Gave clearing my cache and switchin' browsers a go, but it kept happenin'. So irritating, eh! C'mon now, figure it out, website peeps!
Faulty earbud
I bought a new earbud from your website, but the left side wasn't working right. I chatted with customer service, and they said to contact the manufacturer for a replacement. But the manufacturer said you weren't an authorized seller, so now I'm stuck with a faulty product. It's frustrating not having a clear solution to this problem.
ASUS laptop $400 off
OMG, I was so pumped to snag that laptop that was $400 off, but when I went to the store down the street, they were all out. I was totally bummed! I did a huge search and found out that not a single store in Ontario and Quebec had it in stock. Like, what's the deal with that? I'm not accusing them of anything shady, but I'll definitely be keeping tabs on their website to see if this is a recurring issue. I mean, businesses should have enough stock for what they're promoting, right?
New TV
I went to the Halifax Shopping Center the other day to check out a new TV. The sales clerk there told me they had one in stock and said they'd save it for me. But when I went to grab it, turns out they were wrong. The clerk said they made a mistake and didn't actually have it. I was pretty annoyed with the lack of responsibility on their end and how they weren't upfront with me.
Christmas shopping
My partner and I just dropped in for some Christmas shopping and let me tell you, the customer service at this place was top-notch! They really went out of their way to help us find the perfect iPad for our grandson and even suggested some digital picture frames. And when it came to upgrading our cell phones, they gave us some great advice that we really appreciated. The employee we dealt with was super patient, knew their stuff, and was just all-around professional. We ended up spending more than an hour in the store, but it was definitely worth it thanks to the amazing staff.
Phone accessory purchase
The experience wasn't great, eh. Right when I walked into the store, I got hit with all these chit-chats that felt unnecessary and then I was nudged towards products I didn't even care about. I get that customer service is important, but there's a difference between being helpful and being too much. I felt like I was being pushed to buy stuff I didn't want. The whole vibe was awkward and it kinda turned me off from going back, you know?
Cool stuff
I went to that store and lemme tell ya, Nicolai and Eric who works there are amazing! They really know their stuff and hooked me up with some great recommendations. Definitely gonna spread the word to all my buddies to check out that store!
Product support options misleading
Eh, so I got this thing, a disability that makes talking on the phone impossible, eh. So I gotta rely on online support, ya know? Anyway, I went to this website and they had this "live chat" option, but it was just plain text with no link. And I also tried emailing their support address a bunch of times over a few months, but I didn't hear back at all. It's frustrating, ya know, to see a customer support page that seems fake. Like, why don't they care about making things accessible for everyone? Finally, they replied to my email, but it wasn't helpful at all. They basically said they couldn't do anything without giving me any other options or help.
Power cube purchase
I bought a power cube for my iPhones and iPads from TheSource in Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, not too long ago. Josh, the "Manager," told me it would work with all Apple cables, but when I tested it out, it didn't work as promised. I tried to return it for a refund of $22.99, but Josh said no because there was a tear in the box. I was really disappointed by this and now I won't be going back to TheSource. It's frustrating not being able to get a refund for something unused and not suited for what I need, especially after it was recommended by a store employee.
New headphones
Oh my goodness, I just got these new headphones from TheSource and I'm totally in love with them! The sound quality is incredible and they're really comfortable to wear. The guy who helped me choose them was so friendly and helped me find the perfect pair. I'm so excited to use them all the time!
Samsung tablet with extra protection warranty
So I just got this Samsung tablet from the electronics store in the mall here in Kamloops. I even got that extra protection warranty just in case, you know? Well, wouldn't you know it, the screen cracked when it took a little tumble. So I had to get in touch with their customer service team for some help. At first, they told me to bring it in the next day, which kind of threw me off, but in the end, they got everything all figured out. The crew at the store, especially Fahad, Piyulsh, Connor, along with their management, really went above and beyond to resolve the problem. They had my tablet fixed up real quick and efficiently.
Samsung phone exchange
I went to the store at West Edmonton Mall, to trade my old Samsung flip phone for a newer model, but they wouldn't let me do it because I didn't have the box. I had even called ahead and was told there might be a chance, but no luck. It was really disappointing and felt like a waste of time. I know other stores like Best Buy and Home Depot would exchange items without the packaging, even for more expensive things. I was all set to upgrade my phone, and now I'm stuck with my old one because someone tossed out the box at home. It's not fair, but I guess the store crew just doesn't care about helping people. I won't bother going back there again.
Phone and video games
The customer service I got from the folks Nathan and Sukh was just amazing! They were super friendly, knew their stuff, and really went the extra mile to help me stick to my budget while still getting everything I needed. They not only explained everything about the products I was looking at, but also made sure I felt good about my purchases before leaving the store. I can't say enough good things about them - their knowledge and service were top-notch. If you're looking for electronics, be sure to check out this great team at the store in Revelstoke.
