Terrible customer support
This company's support is terrible. They don't help at all and ignore you. They just avoid taking responsibility and send you off to someone else. Don't bother with this company or their support channels.
Word document commenting solution
I recently had a bit of a frustrating time dealing with my Word document comments, all thanks to Microsoft's newest update. But when I reached out to Nuance customer service, I was put in touch with Andres who sorted everything out for me in no time. What really impressed me was how quick and effective Nuance was in resolving my issue - no long waits, immediate help, and even a check-up afterwards to make sure all was good to go. It's not every day you come across companies that truly value customer support and work hard to fix problems as soon as possible. Big shoutout to Nuance for raising the standards!
Speech-to-text software purchase
I recently bought speech-to-text software from this company and I gotta say, it really let me down. Turns out the product I got is no longer compatible with the latest Mac IOS. So, I contacted customer service for help and all they could suggest was that I downgrade my operating system. Seriously? That would mess up all my other software and gadgets. I asked if I could swap the Mac version for the Microsoft one which is still good, but they straight up said no way. Instead, they wanted me to buy the new version at regular price. I'm not impressed with their lack of care and responsibility towards customers. It's just not right.
Voice recognition software
I just bought voice recognition software from NUANCE, thinking it would make it easier to speak into my computer and get things done faster. But man, was I let down. This is the third time I've given this software a shot, and it still sucks just as much as before. It makes my computer run super slow, messes up other functions, and is often slower than just typing. I end up wasting tons of time trying to fix things, especially in Word where the dictation feature keeps conking out. Any hopes of being more efficient with this software totally go out the window because of all the bugs and problems. Overall, dealing with this product has been a total pain and a waste of time.
Digital software purchases
I bought a bunch of digital software stuff in the past years, like a PDF Reader, PDF Converter Pro, OmniPage Pro, PaperPort, and Dragon Naturally Speaking. But when I went to install them on my new computer after changing it up, I got a message saying I went over my limit. So the old software wouldn't go on, and man, that was super frustrating. I liked using the PDF reader, but OmniPage Pro and PaperPort, not so much. And there are better free options online for Dragon Naturally Speaking. Next time, I'm gonna avoid this company and find ones that make downloading easier.
Dragon Professional Individual license
While Nuance used to be a top player in the market, it seems like they're now more focused on squeezing every last penny out of their loyal customers. I bought a Dragon Professional Individual license over two years ago and when I tried to install it on my new computer, I ran into some unexpected roadblocks. Their website didn't mention that the link they gave when I purchased the license expires after two years, basically pushing customers to buy a new license. As a savvy customer, I was disappointed by this lack of transparency and felt like I was being taken advantage of. In the future, I'll be sure to hang onto my .exe file when downloading any software to avoid getting scammed out of hundreds of dollars.
Online software purchase
The online software I bought was good at first, but then it started acting up. When I tried to activate a new version, I had problems with the serial number. Customer service was no help at all, and they didn't solve my issue.
Auto-renewal nightmare
My experience with this company has been a total nightmare, eh. I tried to cancel my account a bunch of times because I had to close my practice cause of COVID, but they kept auto-renewing my contract without asking me. Their customer service was just terrible, never doing what I asked to cancel or set up an auto-pay account. It's so frustrating to deal with a company that treats their customers like that, eh. I would definitely tell others to stay away from this company no matter what.
Software purchase
Eh, the software I bought worked real good and was compatible with my system, but seems like there ain't nobody else out there in this market so the company got real lazy and never paid no mind to what customers like me need. I tried to ask for an upgrade on my license, but didn't hear a darn thing back. That was a real letdown and made their customer service look pretty bad, eh.
Software purchase
The software is actually pretty solid, but the way the company behind it operates is pretty shady and dishonest. I bought the software and at first, it was all good. But then out of nowhere, they started charging me for subscriptions I never signed up for. I tried reaching out to them to fix it, but they never bothered to get back to me. That's just not cool at all. As a customer, I think companies should be upfront and truthful, but unfortunately, Nuance dropped the ball on that one.
Dragon Anywhere software purchase
I just bought the Dragon Anywhere software for $150 so I could use it for dictation on my iPhone. But I've been having some big problems with the microphone button not kicking off the dictation. The software isn't living up to my expectations and the tech support hasn't been very helpful, which is leaving me feeling frustrated and let down about my purchase. It's like I'm stuck in a loop trying to figure out how to get it working right.
Voice dictation software purchase
I'm super bummed with the lousy customer service I got from this company. Even though I splurged on their voice dictation software, they wouldn't help me out when my laptop died and I asked for an upgrade. Now I gotta fork out more cash to get the newest version. I've been using this software since 2012 to help with RSI, but now I'm thinking about trying out some other options because of this bad situation.
Dragon Professional 16 download and microphone purchase
I recently bought the Dragon Professional 16 download and a microphone from this company. But, I've been waiting for the microphone for a while now. I've tried contacting customer service a few times, but I still haven't got a good solution. Also, DHL told me I have to pay extra for duty/tax to get the microphone, which just makes me even more frustrated with the whole ordering situation.
Dragon Naturally Speaking Dud
I got this Dragon talking software off Amazon, arrived super fast. I tried to install it and all it kept typing was "I will" no matter what I spoke! So frustrating! Tried to troubleshoot it but Nuance just wanted me to purchase an upgrade instead of assisting me. Ugh.
DRAGON Software
I gotta be honest, the DRAGON software really let me down. I gave it a good 3-4 months, hoping it would impress me, but it just couldn't cut it. The training process took forever, and even after that, it still made mistakes out of nowhere. Plus, it was pretty pricey for what it offered. I'd recommend checking out BRAINA instead. BRAINA is another speech recognition program that not only accurately transcribes speech but also lets you search files and programs using voice commands, find information, and control your PC wirelessly. And the best part? It's more budget-friendly.
Laptop software transfer issue
I ran into an issue when I attempted to transfer my software to my new laptop. Even though I had bought the Extended Download Service, I was told that the download file was unavailable because the service had expired. It was pretty frustrating and disappointing because I was hoping for better customer support. I think there should be a more helpful system in place for customers to access their purchased software even after certain services have expired.
Software purchase
I recently bought some software from this company, eh, but honestly, it's been a bit of a letdown. When my computer crashed, I had to reinstall the software, and lemme tell ya, it was not a smooth process. There were no download links anywhere, couldn't find any emails to ask for help, and my login details weren't workin'. Finally, when I did get ahold of customer service, they told me that if I didn't wanna have to re-buy the software in two years if somethin' happened, I'd have to fork over some more cash. Talk about frustrating and unprofessional, eh?
Older software copy
As someone who has been using the older software for a long time, I totally get how frustrating it can be when a company cares more about making money than helping its customers. The old version of the software was doing the job for me, but when I needed help because my repetitive strain injury was making it hard for me to use the software properly, NUANCE wanted to charge me an extra $200 for a pro license just to offer some support - not cool. The fact that they wouldn't show any empathy or assist their loyal customers in need really says a lot about where their priorities lie. Luckily, I found a local person who helped me get around NUANCE's demands so I could keep using the older software. It's disappointing when a company you've trusted and relied on for over 15 years doesn't appreciate your loyalty and instead just wants to squeeze more money out of you. Hopefully, with competition from free transcription software, NUANCE will rethink their customer support approach.
PowerMic purchase
My experience with the product was so disappointing, eh. The PowerMic I bought was just really poorly made and didn't work like they said it would. When I tried to get help from customer service, they basically ghosted me, eh. They wouldn't admit that the product was faulty and made it super hard for me to get my money back. The whole thing just left me feeling so frustrated and regretful about buying it, eh. I definitely wouldn't suggest this product or company to anyone looking for something reliable and efficient.
Software Upgrade
I recently bought an upgrade for my software from that company and had some issues when I tried to transfer it to a new PC. Even though I followed their instructions, the software didn't work on the new PC. After going back and forth with their customer support, I had to give them the receipt from when I bought the upgrade to make the new installation work. It makes me wonder - why didn't their system update their records properly? What if I didn't keep the receipt? It felt like they wanted me to buy the software again, which is worrying. So, my advice to others is to keep all receipts if you buy software from them.
