Because of this, newer players who did get the pack were suddenly way ahead of those of us who had been playing for a long time. It felt really unfair, like all my effort and dedication had been wasted because of how Plarium treated us.

This company is way too greedy and sneaky, taking advantage of players by pressuring them to spend crazy amounts on in-game stuff. The event they have going on in November is a prime example of this, basically pushing players to shell out a ridiculous sum of money just to get one champion in a so-called "free to play" game. It's not cool and definitely unethical.
