Works well, a few issues

Honestly, I like it overall — it works for my side‑hustle; I use it for quick logos and copy, they handle payments but support can be slow.

Wasn't sure at first

clean layout, felt pretty secure handling payment. Not perfect - messaging can be clunky sometimes - but generally reliable and I'd try again, for sure.

Still worth it

Was pretty skeptical at first—kept losing my success score for no obvious reason, and orders can be patchy—but I use it every day for managing client gigs and it actually helps; smooth enough, and I’m happy.

Nice surprise from a small shop
27 reviews
I first spotted their work on a buddy’s portfolio site and wasn’t expecting much, but their attention to detail jumped out. They read my brief, asked sensible questions (not the usual vague stuff), and turned around clean designs faster than I figured. Revisions were quick too, which made me breathe easier. All in all, pretty smooth, really no fuss, honestly.

Suspended then a win

I was half filling the sign-up form when my account got suspended—no message. Frustrating, eh? I rounded up my laptop between kids’ hockey practice and dinner, tried Upwork as a test and, surprise, landed a small editing gig within a day. That’s when I knew I’d be fine, and relieved, really.

Good gigs, sketchy rules
6 reviews
a client who nitpicked everything and left a vague, damaging review when I tried to fix it. The platform felt oddly one-sided; you can’t really argue your case, there’s no real back-and-forth judgement, just buyer notes and sellers left talking to a wall. It’s usable, and honestly I’m glad some gigs still paid, but it’s frustrating. Could be so much better with clearer dispute handling and actual balance.

Locked out and short on time

I needed the balance released immediately and phone verification blocked me, but support at least opened my ticket. My account was disabled with seven days to withdraw. I can't access the registered phone so the system keeps forcing a 24‑hour retry and time's nearly up. I'm hospitalized and this money is for treatment. I'm relieved they're at least looking. Would help if they allowed alternate verification — keep your contact info current.

Finding my groove
7 reviews
clients notice the tiny harmonies or ad-libs I throw in and actually comment on them — that’s been a real confidence boost. Some orders are straightforward, others push me to try different styles (and sometimes I stumble, but that’s part of it). I like that feedback comes fast, so I can tweak a take the same day. Prices aren’t always consistent across gigs, which can be annoying, but the steady stream of projects and the chance to grow creatively make up for it. Overall it’s become a practical, creative hub woven into my everyday work.

Finally felt taken care of

messages unanswered, a few vague updates, and me poking support wondering what to do. But then something changed. I escalated the case, chatted with a different support rep who actually listened, and the seller came back with a proper, finished package. It wasn’t instant magic — there were a couple more tweaks, we went back and forth, I had to nudge a bit — but the final result matched what I needed. That exact moment when I opened the completed files and saw everything working, I relaxed and even laughed a bit at the whole rollercoaster. I’m satisfied now, mostly because someone stepped up and things were fixed. Would I use the platform again? Yeah, but I’d be clearer up front and keep screenshots handy.

That ping that fixed my week
2 reviews
my freelance account got locked and I’d been ping‑ponging with support who kept sending the same “policy” lines. I’d done the work, clients got their stuff, Fiverr took fees, but my cash was trapped and I needed it — supporting my folks back home, groceries, rent, the whole thing. I’d been stressed, honestly borderline panicked, because that $400 mattered. At first I was just frustrated, then a bit angry, then tired of repeating myself to different agents. What changed was persistence plus asking for escalation and, eventually, someone actually looked into the case and released the balance. When that alert popped I actually laughed, then sighed — so grateful, you know? It wasn’t perfect: the replies were slow, the wording from support was vague, and I had to push. But the end result was what mattered — money in my account, food on the table, a weight off my chest. If you ever feel ghosted by a platform, keep records, ask for escalation, don’t give up. I’m glad it turned out okay, and honestly relieved — still a bit wary, but grateful it didn’t end worse.

Not what I expected, but some things did get fixed

the whole process was messy. The first freelancer fixed a couple of minor bugs but ignored the memory integration I paid for. When I asked for a refund, he tried to bribe me — yeah, asked for a 5-star review for a partial refund. I refused, and before I could revoke access he logged in and deleted the chatbot and several key pages. That cost me time and extra cash to repair, and, honestly, my trust.
So I tried again with someone else. Communication went dead for days, then I got a “delivery” that was basically blank. Fiverr stepped in both times and refunded me — credit where it’s due, they did process refunds after I supplied logs and screenshots. But Fiverr also told me the case was closed once the money was back, and left both freelancers active on the platform. One of them even messaged me off-platform, got abusive — not cool.
I started out skeptical of the whole marketplace, and that skepticism grew with each bad interaction. By the end, though, I’m somewhat satisfied: I got my money back and eventually got the site back up. It took more time and stress than it should have, and I wish the platform took stronger action so others don’t go through the same runaround. If you’re using Fiverr for anything critical — especially a client-facing launch — be careful with access permissions, back everything up, and expect to follow up with support. They can help, but they won’t necessarily protect you from bad actors.

Hey, so I've been using this website to have people write things for me, and it's been a blast! I've been using it for a couple of years now, and I think it's pretty cool. Sometimes I come across really amazing writers, and other times not so amazing ones, but all in all, I think it's awesome.
