Quick and efficient flex service
Quick and efficient flex service
TimingZipcar's been pretty handy overall, especially for getting to the airport. Their customer service is always quick to help whenever I've had to get in touch. But, I had a rough time with an electric car not too long ago. The battery died so fast that I had to stop and charge it not long after setting off. This unplanned pitstop tacked on an hour to my trip, and to top it off, I had to dish out extra cash for the charging time.
About Zipcar
Zipcar is a car-sharing company based in the United States, which provides automobile reservations to its members, billable by the minute, hour, or day. Founded in 2000 by Antje Danielson and Robin Chase in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Zipcar has grown to become one of the largest car-sharing networks globally. The service offers a wide range of vehicles, enabling members to reserve cars when needed and unlock them using a card or the company's mobile app. Initially started to provide a convenient and cost-effective alternative to car ownership, Zipcar expanded rapidly and now operates in urban areas and college campuses throughout the United States, Canada, and other countries. In 2013, Zipcar was acquired by Avis Budget Group, a vehicle rental company, a move that has enabled Zipcar to benefit from Avis Budget's vast fleet and infrastructure while continuing to serve its distinct market.
