Account access issue
I've been having a tough time trying to access my account with this company. Even though I've sent in all the documents they asked for several times, I still can't get into my account. It's causing me a lot of financial stress. I've tried reaching out to customer service, but they haven't been helpful at all. They're not responding to my requests for help or letting me speak to a manager. The lack of communication and support from this company has really hurt my finances, and now I'm facing eviction and homelessness. I just want to warn others to think twice before opening an account with this company.
Opening account and transfering funds
Stay away from this company. I made the mistake of opening an account and moving money on April 7th, only to regret it soon after. After reading lots of bad reviews, I realized I didn't want anything to do with this company. I spent over an hour trying to close my account, talking to a customer service rep named Valentina. Every 10 minutes, Valentina had a new excuse for why she couldn't close my account right away. I wasted a lot of time and ended up losing my money. Don't bother with this company, just stay away.
Trouble accessing account
The app totally locked me out of my account 'cause it forgot my password and won't take the new one. I've tried a bunch of times to reset it, but it's not working. I contacted customer service through the web chat, and all they said was to wait 24 hours and try again - not helpful at all. It's so frustrating not being able to access my own money. It's just not right.
Top plan, credit building, "cover"
This place is terrible. The folks on chat are like chatting with a robot that only knows some key words. They don't even get the issue! I had to chat with them twice lately and it was a total mess both times. My app got blocked and the person just kept saying to update it - like obviously, I already tried that! And then my car payment took forever to process and they didn't even understand what I was trying to say. It's so frustrating!
Fraud and theft claims
I am so frustrated with the service I got from this company. Suddenly, they closed my account without telling me why. When I tried to reach customer service, all I got were robot replies saying to contact my government official. Not only did they close my account for no reason, but $2600.00 of my money is gone too. The lack of communication and honesty is just terrible. It feels like straight-up fraud and robbery.
Account setup and verification
I recently bought some account setup and verification services from this company. I was pretty impressed at first with how fast and simple it was to get my account up and running, and the verification process went smoothly as well. But then I hit a snag when I found out that the info customer service gave me was wrong. Even though they owned up to their mistake in writing, I still had a hard time sorting things out with my bank. All in all, I was let down by how the company didn't take responsibility or follow through like they should have.
Many fraudulent charges on my account
I've had, like, so many weird charges on my account, eh. At first, I was all like, "Oh no, someone's taking my dough!" But then I checked out reviews and now I'm pretty sure it's them being sneaky. I'm trying to get my cash back, but it's like chatting with a brick wall, you know what I mean? Are they trying to pull a fast one on me? Sure seems like it. I'm definitely closing my account, they just keep getting sketchier every year. So not cool, eh.
Prepaid card account issues
My time with KOHO Financial has been super frustrating and disappointing. I've had some serious problems with my prepaid card account, like other companies holding onto my money and getting double-charged for stuff. Even after talking to customer service, I got confusing and not-so-helpful info, which just made things more annoying and took longer to fix. I just opened an online banking account and saw some sketchy reviews about the safety and reliability of the service. Rejected ODSP deposit
So, I had a problem with a deposit from ODSP, the Ontario government, that was supposed to be $658, but Koho didn't accept it. They won't give it back or tell me why they rejected it. It's really frustrating not knowing what's going on and it's making me feel helpless. I need that money for my basic needs, and Koho not helping out has put me in a tough spot.
Reloadable online shopping card
This card is fine for shopping online, but just watch out because transfers don't always work and you might not have your money for 3 whole days! That's a real pain when you're scrambling to book a hotel at the last minute.
Lost balance due to Koho mistake
So, Koho messed up my account balance and instead of fixing it, they just straight up closed my account, didn't even let me transfer my balance back to my bank account. When I chatted with them online, they kept saying I didn't make a payment, which is why my account got suspended for NSF. But, I showed them they were wrong because my money mysteriously came back onto my card after I refreshed the page. Even though I got an email saying they couldn't process my last e-transfer, they went ahead and closed my account without any heads up, so now I can't access my balance at all. I'm just left here wondering where the heck my money disappeared to.
