a couple of dropped calls and someone saying “no availability” even though Booking.com showed rooms. I admit I got a bit snappy. But then a different rep actually dug in, found a workaround and moved our stay without charging us extra. So that worry? Gone. Still a tiny gripe about the first hang-up, but overall I’m really relieved and grateful — it turned out better than I expected. Would book again, now a bit more trusting.

call ahead if you’re on a virtual card, but don’t stress — the team can usually sort it. Pleasant stay overall, surprised in a good way.
