My unfortunate booking experience
My unfortunate booking experience
On-siteI can't believe I got scammed like that. I booked a room for one day and when I showed up with my kid, the manager wanted an extra 500 bht in cash or else said he'd call the cops. He wouldn't give me my cash back and basically made fun of me. I got absolutely no service, just got taken for a ride.
Spa weekend booking
Spa weekend booking
On-siteMy partner and I were so excited for a nice relaxing weekend at what was supposed to be a Spa resort with a pool, sauna, and gym. But when we got there, everything was shut down for renovations until the end of April. The hotel said sorry and claimed they told the booking site, but the facilities were still being advertised. I got in touch with the company, had to show proof, and all they gave us was $23 as a way of making up for it. It was definitely a case of false advertising and the customer service was just awful. We're going to escalate this and try to sort it out.
Asia hotel booking
Asia hotel booking
On-siteI booked this hotel in Asia on Agoda 'cause it looked amazing online. But when we arrived, it was a complete disaster! They were renovating the place, no chance we could stay. We had to scramble to find another hotel at the last minute, super stressful. I explained everything to Agoda, and they said, "Sure, just send us the bill for the new place and we'll look into a refund." But then they kept transferring me to different departments, Booking.com, Agoda, back to Agoda. It was beyond annoying and I still haven't gotten my money back. So frustrated!
