Trip bookings in Asia
I went on a trip to Asia for 2 months and used this website a lot to book my transport. Most of the time everything went smoothly, but there was this one time where I didn't receive a voucher and email for my booking. I had to book again because of this issue. The confirmation email I got came only one day before my trip, and it had the wrong appointment time on it. I basically paid for nothing because of this mistake. When I tried to reach out to customer support, they didn't respond to me twice. On top of that, it was quite confusing to figure out how to login to see all my vouchers initially. They should make it easier with a normal account setup like any other website.
Online booking for two-week trip to Thailand
Booking our trip online was super easy. We found our tickets without any problems, but the downside was we had to physically check in before leaving. Showing the pdf on our phone wasn't enough. This caused some confusion and delays, especially with locals who didn't know the deal. Also, we didn't get the full itinerary ahead of time, so planning was tough. On the trip, we had quick 20-minute meal stops that we didn't know about. In the end, it was okay, but there's definitely room for improvement.
Overnight bus tickets
The overnight buses in Vietnam are really comfy, you can lie down flat, they have their own light, power outlet, curtains for some privacy, air conditioning, and they even give you free bottled water. The only annoying thing is the driver honking the horn a lot, but that's just how things are here. Don't forget to take off your shoes before you hop on the bus. Overall, it's a good experience and I think it's way better and cheaper than taking the sleeper trains. 12Go makes it easy to compare all your travel options - train, bus, or plane - so you can be sure you're getting the best deal for your trip.
Phuket to Khao Lak coach bus
I recently hopped on a coach bus from Phuket to Khao Lak and it was so easy-peasy. The bus terminal in Phuket was a breeze to get around, and once I found counter 22, the staff were quick in handing over my paper tickets. The bus driver and assistant were super nice and helpful, especially in making sure our big backpacks were stored safely before we took off. The bus ride itself was comfy with air conditioning, and the whole trip lasted about 2 hours. Once we got to Khao Lak, the bus assistant announced our stop, making it a piece of cake to get off and grab our bags. All in all, it was a smooth and budget-friendly way to get from one place to the other.
Double payment issue
That was such a horrible experience! I accidentally paid for the same trip twice because their website was all messed up. I reached out to their support right away to fix it, but they didn't cancel one of the payments or give me back any cash. Their customer service is seriously lacking and it's really disappointing. I suggest finding a different booking platform to use instead. Even after I made a ton of complaints and sent a bunch of emails, they only gave me back their fee for managing things, not the full amount for the second ticket.
Bus ticket booking in Vietnam
Sorry, eh, but I gotta say I've been let down by 12Go when booking bus tickets lately. Normally, they've been good, but my last couple tries in Vietnam were rough. I paid up, but then no confirmation for over a day. Not cool, you know? When you're trying to make travel plans, that lack of info is a pain. Couldn't risk it, so I asked for my money back.
Indian train tickets
I'm so stoked that I used 12Go for booking my train tickets to India! I didn't even bother checking out the reviews beforehand, but it all worked out perfectly. I came across this company on a super cool website and decided to go for it. Booking my tickets in November on the website was a breeze. I received an email right after booking and then got the confirmation the next day. When we checked our booking on the train site before our trip, everything was good to go. We had our seat numbers sorted and the guard recognized us when we boarded the train. So yeah, everything went smoothly and I was really pleased with the whole experience!
