Late delivery, slow support
23 reviews
Needed this for a move — bad back, so timing was key. Delivery was late and clumsy, and customer service just passed me around; not much help. Product was alright for the cost, but the slow responses and delivery made it more trouble than it needed to be.

Bit worried at first

I was on the fence before renewing — worried it'd stop flagging problems like others said. Installed it on my HP last week; at first nothing, then scans and notifications started appearing. Pretty relieved — it actually works overall, it's okay now.

Quick start, nice surprise

Ordered late September and started using it the next day — first impression was huh, that’s easy. Delivery was actually fast and customer service helped me set it up over chat, friendly and patient. Didn’t expect that, pleasantly surprised, really overall very pleased.

Auto-renew headache
21 reviews
I bought it with nagging doubt about auto-pay; later, when I asked for a refund they demanded another card because "original charge can't be refunded." I refused. Felt like a scam, so I cancelled and switched to someone else — still annoyed, but happier now for ditching the hassle.

Surprisingly solid pick

I honestly hesitated at first — worried it would be bloated or a nightmare to manage. Tried it on one PC, then my parents' laptops, then rolled it out to 30+ call-centre machines. Keeps things simple, mostly smooth; a couple updates were slow. Try one machine first.

Relief after a slog

I was about to dump it after months of intermittent expiry and no helpful replies, but the real relief hit when I set up Surfshark and everything — email, banking, streaming — just worked again. Daily routine back to normal. Still annoyed by the earlier silence, but at least I sleep easier now.

Finally sorted it out

I was halfway through cursing the portal when the rep finally typed the refund confirmation — that’s when I relaxed. The site had rejected my invoice at first and after bad run-ins with other companies I was braced for a long fight. Support actually checked the account, processed the refund and walked me through the weird renewal pricing. It took a couple calls and some back-and-forth, but the end result was fair and I’m honestly relieved. Would recommend if you can reach someone — just be patient, it’s doable.

Just does the job
6 reviews
I needed something simple after a nasty malware hit my laptop, had tried the big names and some freebies and none stuck. Ordered online, delivery of licence was quick (email link, no fuss), customer support answered a question the next day — polite, not glowing but solid. The app itself is low‑profile, cloud‑based, barely uses resources, so it stays out of the way. Been using it a while now, still does exactly what's needed.

Almost chickened out

the setup was pretty straightforward, the app didn’t mess with my system and support actually helped with a couple odd prompts. Still a bit cautious, but honestly happy it worked and saved me time. Glad I gave it a shot.

Background guard, billing blind spot

how do you protect a device that doesn't exist? Functionally the app did its job when installed, low performance hit, decent scans. But the billing/renewal practice is sloppy, so I'm rethinking renewing.

Surprise charge, support fixed it
3 reviews
I was mid-move with three boxes open when I noticed a $50 charge on my card — I thought I only signed up for an annual plan. I needed protection right away because I do contract work from home and had a nasty malware scare last year, so the subscription actually mattered. I was pretty annoyed, called customer support, and to my surprise the person listened, checked my account, and arranged a refund while I was still on the line. That turned a bad moment into a good one. I'm glad they could fix it, but they really should make renewal options clearer. For now, relieved and sticking around — honestly it's a relief.

Left over a support hiccup
1 reviews
Bottom line — I ended up uninstalling it. I first tried it years ago after a coworker showed me their setup and I even told my brother to try it. For a long time it did the job, no drama. Then I hit a weird glitch and called support; instead of a quick restart they wanted to charge me a hefty fee to "fix" things. I only needed them to restart the app so my PC would be protected, but they pushed a paid service — I mean, come on. That rubbed me the wrong way, so I switched even with months left. Works okay otherwise, just watch the support.

Quick follow-up after a weird flag
22 reviews
the form basically echoed the engine verdict and I didn’t see any sign a human looked at it. That annoyed me, especially since other vendors had already cleared the app. I reached out to support and, to their credit, they did reply and said the team reviewed the file and decided to keep the current status. Not the outcome I hoped for, but at least there was actual follow-up and a clear answer, which I can work with. Delivery of that response was reasonable and the agent was polite. Kinda frustrating for devs whose reputations matter, but I appreciate the communication — could be faster, but solid enough.

That weird relieved moment
2 reviews
I paid for a lifetime plan last year thinking I was covered, found out a hacker had been on my machine, and during a call the intruder even tried to get my banking info. Webroot did clean things up, and when everything looked back to normal I felt genuinely satisfied, for a minute. Then came the ransom demand for $1,199 to stop wiping the system — I didn’t pay. So yeah, happy that the cleanup worked and I got that relief, but trust? Gone. My advice: back up often and watch who you trust with lifetime claims.

Quietly good until the paperwork trips you up
23 reviews
it ran in the background, did its job, barely needed me. Then I changed my email and the mess began. I updated the address in my account, could log in fine, but billing and confirmation emails kept going to the old one. Turns out the billing side (some third party) and the main account weren't talking to each other. I spent ages on hold or sending forms, was told it was fixed, then got a confirmation sent to the wrong, disappearing address — so that was useless. Toss in another vendor name I hadn’t heard of and a cancellation email that didn’t exist on their site, and it felt like a relay race where nobody passed the baton. The product itself is decent, really — quiet, unobtrusive — but the delivery of communications and the customer service you need when things change are clumsy and frustrating. I felt a bit let down, honestly. Useful software, shaky support and delivery. Would recommend with a big caveat: don’t expect the behind-the-scenes stuff to be smooth.

Locked-up laptop, circular support and too many hoops
27 reviews
screenshots on my desktop, a subscription that keeps renewing, and a support system that keeps pointing me at processes rather than solving anything. That’s the detail I want to press on — the “you must use our method, not a normal email attachment” thing. It’s small on paper but it screwed this whole thing up.

Renewal hassle, but it worked in the end
27 reviews
scans run, web protection popped up when a dodgy site came up, and there were no weird pop-ups or slowdowns that morning. That’s the part that matters to me in daily life — the software just doing its job while I get on with work and kid stuff.
Things that weren’t great: the banks treating the vendor as suspicious across the board was baffling, and the back-and-forth took time. Customer service could’ve been clearer about the fraud flag earlier. Still, once the payment cleared and protection resumed, I felt reassured enough to renew again. Not blown away, but reliable enough for now.
