Webroot did clean things up, and when everything looked back to normal I felt genuinely satisfied, for a minute. Then came the ransom demand for $1,199 to stop wiping the system — I didn’t pay. So yeah, happy that the cleanup worked and I got that relief, but trust? Gone. My advice: back up often and watch who you trust with lifetime claims.

Their security programs always meet my needs, which is why I choose to renew for multiple years at once. Seeing the Webroot logo on my screen gives me peace of mind knowing that the websites I visit are safe. When I've upgraded computers, transferring my Webroot protection has always been smooth. With multiple computers in my home, Webroot has taken care of all of them without any problems.

This program has really messed up my computer, it's so slow now that even simple things like opening websites or system settings take forever. It's ridiculous that it takes three minutes just to open the task manager with Ctrl+Alt+Del. I had to disconnect from the internet just to have a bit of control back. I had to switch to a different computer altogether and even told my boss I would quit if they didn't get rid of this software that's been causing so many problems.

I just bought this software and it was such a disaster! It ended up creating more headaches than fixing anything. It went ahead and removed the drivers for my mouse and keyboard, which meant I had to spend hours trying to troubleshoot the issue. On top of that, it deleted some important files I needed for a deadline, all without even asking me first!
