    Recent site issues

    It's really frustrating when your site keeps going down for no reason at all. We haven't even made any changes! It's just been super slow and unreliable lately. It's a real pain because it’s costing us both time and money. Honestly, it's not cool. But, in fairness, we have had a pretty decent experience with this company for a few years now. Hopefully, they can get their act together and fix these problems ASAP.

    SEO limitations

    I recently signed up for a website with Volusion for my online business, hoping to improve my SEO rankings. However, I quickly realized that there are many technical limitations to their SEO features. Firstly, they charge an extra $20 per month for SSL, which is necessary for accepting payments on your site and also helps with SEO. This added cost was quite disappointing as I felt it should have been included in the package.

    Secondly, I noticed that Volusion adds "_s/123.htm" to every category page, which not only looks unprofessional but also cannot be removed. This is frustrating as it impacts the overall look and user experience of my website.

    Lastly, there is no category hierarchy in the URL structure, which is essential for good SEO practices. For example, in a subcategory, you would expect the parent category to display in the URL as "website.com/Parent/Subcategory/Product". However, with Volusion, everything is jumbled up as "website.com/Product_s/123.htm", making it difficult for search engines to crawl and index my website properly.

    Free policy generators

    I gotta say, I was pretty let down by this company. I was hoping to find a free policy generator, so I checked out their website. I went ahead and created an account, but was totally bummed out when I found out they didn't actually offer the service they said they did. To make matters worse, when I tried to figure out how to delete my account, I was out of luck.

    I recently shut down my online store and asked the company to cancel my account. Turns out, they’ve been taking $65 out of my bank account every month for Merchant Services since I closed the store, even though I haven’t been using them. They said they sent an email last year to cancel, but I never got it. So, I’ve been paying for services I haven’t even used for the past 7 months.

    This e-commerce platform really needs to step up their game when it comes to basic features like Bcc-ing Trustpilot on shipping/tracking emails. It's such a pain to have to do it manually for every order, leaving us vulnerable to getting negative reviews for cancelled orders caused by fraudulent sales. It's just not user-friendly at all.

    E-commerce platform for website design

    While using an e-commerce platform for website design as a customer, I found it challenging to add products, descriptions, and datasheets due to their complexity and lack of intuitiveness. It seems like unless you're a pro website designer, navigating through Volusion can be tough. Although technical help is available, you need to schedule it in advance, which can be inconvenient. I've used other platforms like Weebly for different applications, and found it much simpler and user-friendly compared to Volusion. Volusion requires more time and effort to understand and operate effectively. When I switched to Volusion and imported data from a previous platform, I bought a new template based on a salesperson's recommendation for around $500. Despite multiple calls and almost a year of adjustments, it took quite a while to achieve a satisfactory appearance.

    There's just too many people workin’ on this web design thing, makin’ it all so confusin’ for someone like me who ain't done this before. They keep tryin’ to charge me for stuff that should be easy, and they don't give me the info I need to figure it out on my own. Just one chance to change things and one call to ask questions ain't enough for me, tryin’ to get my site goin’. I signed up back in early November, and here we are in the end of January, and my site still ain't up. The lack of help and guidance is drivin’ me nuts, 'specially since I'm countin' on their services for my business.

    Canceling merchant account

    Trying to cancel a merchant account with this company is an absolute nightmare. Even though we canceled our account a year ago, they are still charging us. Their customer service is non-existent when it comes to inactive accounts, so stopping the charges feels impossible. I strongly suggest steering clear of this company if you want to save yourself time and money.

    I was so frustrated trying to cancel my subscription on the website. It was a real hassle. I had to Google the support email because I couldn't find it easily. Then when I finally reached out for help, I was told I could only cancel on weekdays. And on top of that, they wanted me to answer all these security questions before a "Merchant Happiness expert" could help me out. It all just seemed way too complicated and took up so much of my time.

    I gotta tell ya, using this platform was a huge mistake. It was a total nightmare! Every time they did an update, it just caused more problems on my site. And let me tell ya, their tech support?     The interface on this eCommerce website is pretty clunky and confusing, eh? There's a bunch of bugs that just make everything frustrating. Seems like some features just don't work right, making simple stuff way more complicated and taking up a lot of time. Like, why should it be so hard to resize a photo thumbnail or add an image, right? With Volusion, it's just a big headache. Hopefully, now that the original founders are back in charge, they'll fix all these problems and make things better.

    After 5 years of using this e-commerce shopping cart, I am finally saying goodbye. It's been a frustrating journey with no improvements in sight. Firstly, their platform is so outdated, and it's like they don't even care to update it. I mean, come on, it's 2021! And what's up with no blog capabilities and an app marketplace that is basically non-existent? It's like they don't want their customers to succeed. Don't even get me started on their new pricing structure - it makes absolutely no sense! And why does their SEO make categories end with numbers and annoying underscores? It's like they want to sabotage our SEO efforts! Also, ever since they moved to Google, website code and site speed have gone downhill fast. Customer service is nice and tries to help, but let's be real, they don't know anything! Will Volusion ever listen to their customers? Who knows, but I doubt it.

    I gotta say, my experience with this company was just awful. Their system is super restrictive and a lot of the integrations just don't work. After dealing with orders constantly failing to go through at the checkout for months, we finally decided to switch to a different platform. We were already shelling out a good chunk of money each month, only to be hit with a sudden and hefty increase in fees right after the company went bankrupt. It's pretty obvious they're trying to make up for their losses by squeezing their current clients. Honestly, it feels like a total scam and I highly recommend staying away from them.

    Double charged purchase

    I recently had a terrible experience with a web development company that was recommended by Volusion. Despite the glowing recommendations, this company, MAK Digital Design, turned out to be a complete disaster. Not only did they double charge me for their services, but when I tried to address the issue with them, they were completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I had to take legal action against them, and fortunately, the court ruled in my favor. Throughout this entire ordeal, I tried to bring the matter to the attention of Volusion, but they were unsympathetic and unresponsive. It's clear to me that Volusion is promoting and supporting unethical and dishonest businesses, and this needs to change immediately.

    My time with this e-commerce platform was honestly a letdown. It was just so out of date, super sluggish, and not very flexible. Plus, there were all these hidden fees and sneaky auto-contracts that just felt, you know, kind of underhanded and tricky. I had been using their services for years, but then out of the blue they jacked up the monthly cost to a crazy $1500, when it used to be only $300. That was it for me, that was the final straw. I cancelled my contract right away. They tried to defend their high prices by saying it was really $2000 a month as the norm, which is just not cool for the mediocre service they deliver. Even when they offered me a discount at $600 a month, it was still too expensive and not worth it. It was a frustrating and pricey ordeal that I don't recommend to anyone.

    Stopped by bad shipping rates

    My time with this company was just awful, eh! The shipping costs were all messed up and customers were getting so angry, eh. Payment charges weren't going through either, eh. When I switched to a different provider, I got charged for the whole time I was switching, eh.     Don't bother with this e-commerce platform, eh. The customer service is terrible - they don't help at all and don't seem to get what the problem is. We've had lots of issues with our orders, which is frustrating and eats up our time. They always try to blame us, saying it's our security settings that are causing the problems. Bottom line, using this platform for our business was a big mistake and we're not happy about it, eh.
