They actually made it work

Service

they saved the day and made something old useful again. I found some old SpaFinder vouchers after a relative died and assumed they were worthless since the site doesn’t seem to issue those anymore. I reached out on a whim and the support team was incredibly helpful — really went out of their way to convert the vouchers to the new system. I’m honestly surprised at how smooth it was. We’re already planning a quiet weekend spa for me and my partner, a little break we badly needed. Small hiccups here and there, but overall I’m super grateful.

Mixed bag, honestly

Communication

Strangest thing — I finally squeezed in a massage after months, used one of two birthday gift cards, and at the desk the card scanned as already redeemed. It was weird because I only got them a few months earlier. The massage itself was solid though — the therapist knew what they were doing and I even tipped them; felt like they earned it. After that I ordered a gift card for my boss and never received the email or code. Tried customer service a few times, left messages, filled forms — crickets. They list a handful of phone numbers too, so figuring out who to call is annoying. Not perfect, but the actual treatment worked fine.

Relaxation put on hold

Communication

Halfway through planning a massage, I realized the gift card was more trouble than it should be. I looked up where it’s accepted and found three places — one apparently closed, another that says you have to book a chiropractic treatment along with the massage (odd), and the third went straight to voicemail. So I’m waiting to see if that one even answers. Customer support was only a tiny chat box on the site and it sits so low on the page you can’t see what you’re typing until you hit send; awkward and clumsy, slow replies too. I’ve had gift cards from other companies that at least pick up the phone or list accurate locations, so this felt sloppy. Nice idea, but using it was frustrating and kind of a waste of time.

Gift card ghosting

Product

steer clear of this gift card unless you like doing detective work to get to the money. I got mine from my sister for my birthday in March and thought, sweet, spa stuff — perfect. When I peeled the strip the card number came off with it — half gone, like someone tried to peel a sticker off a mug. I called the help line—several times—and every time they asked for the card number. Well, um, that's... not possible. I left messages on the website, sent messages through their contact forms, and tried the live chat (twice). Still waiting for a real person after twenty minutes today. I've got the receipt and the proof of purchase, so it's not like I don't have anything to show. I even told a colleague I had this card and warned them not to buy until I sorted it — didn't want them to go through the same hassle. Slightly annoyed, a bit frustrated, and yeah, a little embarrassed for the person who bought it for me. Customer care needs to actually care.

Spa gift card purchase

Product

So, I got this spa gift card for Christmas, right? And I was so excited to use it but then I found out it wasn't even activated! Like, what's up with that? Turns out, you gotta activate it in the store when you buy it, which is so inconvenient for both me and the person who gave it to me. Like, why do we have to go through all that trouble just to use a gift card in this day and age? Now I have to dig up the receipt and go all the way to the store just to activate it. It's such a hassle and honestly, it's turned me off from buying these spa gift cards for others in the future. Just a heads up for anyone thinking of getting one as a gift!

Card for massage

Product

I got this gift card for a massage months ago, but I can't find anywhere to use it. It's been a struggle trying to redeem it, eh? I mean, I've had this card since August, and now it's mid-March. How am I supposed to relax with a massage if no one will accept this card? Seems like a bit of a rip-off to me!

Spa payment issues at Wyndham

Checkout

So, yeah, I stayed at this Wyndham place, ya know? And they have this cool thing where you can use Spafinder to pay for things. But every time I try to use my Wyndham Visa card, Spafinder is all like, "Nope, girl, use a different card." And then when I give them my certificate, the spa folks can't even make it work! They gotta send it through, like, a ton of times. It's super annoying, eh?

Purchased a gift card

Communication

I bought a gift card as a surprise for a family member, but it's been a total headache. I made the purchase a few weeks back, and no matter how many times I try to check in with customer service, the gift card still hasn't shown up. I'm super bummed about the lack of communication and the fact that they can't even find my order. It's pretty obvious that this company is slacking when it comes to helping out their customers.

Gift card purchase

Product

I'm really disappointed with SpaFinder. I got a gift card to treat myself to a spa day, but a bunch of spas don't take their cards anymore because of problems with the company. It's made my experience a lot less enjoyable and I feel let down.

Spa gift card

Product

I had a really bad experience with the spa gift card I bought. Like a lot of other customers, I had trouble using it and had to end up paying a lot of my own money. The website is confusing because it shows places that don't actually take the gift card, which makes things awkward at the checkout. It's frustrating to think you can use the gift card, but then you have to take out your credit card. And sometimes even if a place says they take the gift card, only certain stylists will actually use it, so you have to be really careful. The worst part is how people treat you when you bring up the gift card - like you're cheap and not worth as much.

Spa gift cards

Service

I tried out some spa gift cards I got, but it didn't go so great. The pedicures I had at two places were not that good. It took a while, but my feet weren't as smooth as I expected, and the nail polish was messy. I usually go to another salon that gives better service for less money.

Digital gift card purchase issues

Checkout

I tried to buy a digital gift card online but my credit card kept getting rejected, and the banks didn't even flag it as a potential fraud. It was a frustrating experience and I won't be attempting it again.

Gift card purchase.

Communication

Wow, what a letdown! I got a gift card thinking it would be nice, but it turned out to be a big waste of money. I couldn't find anywhere to use it on the Spafinder site, and trying to reach customer service was a nightmare because they never picked up the phone. After seeing other people's reviews, it's obvious that this company is a scam.

Spa gift card

Returns & Refunds

It's really too bad to hear about the rough time you had with Spa Finder and Nail Garden. No one deserves to be ignored as a customer and it's crucial to have your concerns taken care of quickly. However, it's good news that you ended up getting a refund after sticking with it. Businesses should always put customer satisfaction first and deal with complaints in a fair and fast way. Hopefully, this whole situation will help both companies learn and do better with customer service to avoid these kinds of problems in the future.

Spa gift card

Returns & Refunds

Don't waste your money or your sanity, eh! My time with this company was a total nightmare, I tell ya. The customer service was absolutely terrible, the worst I've ever dealt with. They put out a promo code for Cyber Monday, but it wouldn't go through their system. And instead of honoring it like they should, they dragged their feet and made me wait 10 whole days for a refund. That's just shady advertising at its worst, if you ask me. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these guys, eh!

Replacement e-gift card

Service

I had a chat with customer service about two gift cards that weren't working properly. After talking it through, they sent me a new e-gift card to make up for it. The customer service folks were really on the ball and helpful the whole time. I'm feeling pretty good that the new e-gift card will do the trick for my spa visit next month. All in all, I'm thankful for how quickly and smoothly they fixed the problem.

Useless Spafinder paper voucher

Product

I got a Spafinder voucher as a gift from my daughter, but I couldn't figure out where to use it in the UK. It was so frustrating to find out that the voucher, which said I could get different spa services and had no expiry date, was actually no good to me. It made me wonder if it's right to sell these vouchers to people without actually giving them the services they were promised.

E-gift card purchase

Checkout

My experience trying to buy e-gift cards online was a total nightmare. Even though I had all my details right and the payments went through just fine, my orders got canceled many times because of some "screening system" they had. The customer service wasn't very helpful at all, just giving me basic advice and not really solving my problems. They said the screening was for security, but it just made things way harder than they needed to be. After 4 days of being super annoyed, they finally told me to get a physical gift card instead, without telling me where to actually find them.

Gift card purchase issue

Product

I bought a $50 gift card from this company and it was not a good experience. When I tried to use it at different spa websites, they didn't accept it. I tried contacting Spa Finder customer service for help but I got transferred to different numbers and ended up talking to a robot that couldn't help me with the card issue. It was really frustrating and not what I expected for the recipient. I wouldn't recommend spending money on this company and I think they should be held accountable for scamming customers.

Spa finder gift card dilemma

Checkout

I've had a frustrating experience with Spa finder's gift cards. I got four gift cards from friends and family, but I can't use them like I wanted to. The website won't let me use more than one card for a purchase, and the total can't be more than one card's value. When I contacted customer service, they suggested I try asking a spa to split the charges. This solution is frustrating and inconvenient, especially coming from a company like Spa finder. I'm really disappointed with the gift cards and wouldn't suggest them to anyone.
