Floods in Dubai and stuck in Dubai
Oh man, my family got stranded in Dubai because of those dumb floods, so we ended up missing our trip to Mauritius. We had booked a hotel online, and it was just a complete nightmare. The hotel actually tried to charge us even though we couldn't make it due to the floods. Dealing with their customer service was a total nightmare too.
Room booking

I've been a loyal customer of this company for a while now, and I wanted to share a recent frustrating experience I had with my booking. While I was on vacation at a hotel on a Greek Island, I suddenly got really sick and had to go to the hospital. Because of this, I had to leave the hotel a night earlier than planned. When I asked for a refund for that unused night, Hotels.com said no and asked for a bunch of documents and proof. This whole situation made me feel like they were being unfair, dishonest, and not treating me right. I'm not sure if I want to keep using their services after this.
Overpriced third party booking
Don't trust the so-called "savings" they promise. I actually ended up forking out nearly $300 more than if I had just booked directly with the hotel. Customer service was a joke, couldn't get any assistance from their call center or app. Just save yourself the trouble and book straight through the hotel.

This is ridiculous! That website needs to step up their game - the hotel I booked looked nothing like the pictures, and it was a total disaster. From a room covered in mold to a dodgy pool area, it was a nightmare. The restaurant was unhygienic, and the stench was unbearable. Trash was everywhere, and shady stuff was happening all around.
