Silent after cancellation

Cancellation

cheap fares, straightforward checkout. Then the airline cancelled the flight and I heard nothing from them. No email, no text, no update. I called support a few times and kept getting cut off or queued forever. The weird part: the airline told me they refunded the ticket to eSky, so money left the airline but didn’t get to me directly. Small relief, I guess, but the lack of communication and delivery of info was awful.

I wouldn’t trust their automated messages — they kept sending boarding passes and check-in stuff, yet at the airport the flight was cancelled. I needed to get to Dubai for a family thing, so I had to buy a same-day premium ticket (ouch). Couldn’t reach anyone by phone early morning, WhatsApp was useless, and my complaint is still unanswered after a week. Weirdly, I’m relieved I made it, but annoyed and out of cash. Not the worst scam, but close enough to avoid next time.

Refund limbo — odd vibes

I haven’t got the money and I’m done waiting. I needed this refund because a last-minute flight cancellation screwed up my plans (and my budget — small move and a sore back meant I couldn’t absorb the cost), so I chased them. At first they were oddly quick: an email asked for my bank details since they “couldn’t refund the card” (fine, I sent it), and they even thanked me and said payment would be made right away. That was the pleasant surprise — real people, polite email — which made me think it would be sorted. Then nothing. Crickets. Follow-up emails go unanswered, questions about the exact amount get ignored, and it feels like being politely distracted until they disappear. I’m left wondering why they needed so much bank info and whether that’s normal or sketchy (others online suggest it’s not great). So yeah, decent first response, then the kind of silence that makes you escalate things. I’ll be passing details to consumer groups if needed and warning others — but honestly, if you need a reliable refund fast, this wasn’t it.
