Weird warehouse saga, but one rep actually helped
Weird warehouse saga, but one rep actually helped
DeliveryI ordered a bunch of bits from different sellers (legit domestic shops) and they were all routed through a third‑party warehouse that the site uses. The plan was: consolidating small packages into a few big parcels and shipping them overseas. Simple, right? Well, one of the big parcels went missing in that warehouse — a parcel that I know was worth well over $1,500 CAD. For a couple of weeks I was ping‑ponging between different customer service teams because everything is outsourced (one team handles the warehouse, another the ocean freight, you name it), so I had to explain the same thing over and over. That part was exhausting. The surprising, almost odd bright spot was a support agent late one night who actually read my messages, tracked down notes, and pushed the right people to check the storage logs — not everyone did this, so that stuck out in a good way. After a lot of back and forth they offered a partial refund at first (like, CAD 400), which felt ridiculous given the value of the lost parcel. I argued, supplied screenshots, seller invoices, tracking traces, the whole messy pile of proof. There was a twist where they claimed the parcel was found and even gave me a tracking number — which, hilariously, turned out to be someone else’s order (same city though, small world). I checked with the shipping provider and the contents, name, and address didn’t match; then the next day someone else insisted it had been delivered to me and ignored the earlier evidence. That inconsistency was the worst part — the mixed signals, the “we found it” and then “nope, never mind” routine. It’s been roughly a month and a half and I’m still not fully sorted, though that one helpful rep did make progress and kept me from going totally insane. If you’ve dealt with other international consolidated shipping setups, you’ll know the pain is sometimes not the seller but the middlemen. My advice: for expensive stuff, double‑check the consolidation steps, keep every invoice and photo, and don’t let them brush you off. Overall, frustrating and slow, but not totally hopeless — there are humans who care, you just might have to dig for them.
Long-time buyer, slowly losing faith

Deliverywill this ship by air or end up on some slow boat, will the seller be legit, and how do I even complain if something goes wrong? Those doubts didn't disappear. They mostly came true. The good shops are rarer now, recommendation feeds are clogged with ads that look like real listings, and it’s annoying having to squint to tell what's paid vs. actual reviews. The worst was the shipping mess — items marked as air in the checkout mysteriously switch to slower freight, costing more and taking forever, and there’s no solid way to force it otherwise. Also got scammy texts every time a parcel moved; feels like my contact info is being passed around. I miss being able to flag problems — the reporting option seems gone and there’s no clear email to reach. I still find gems sometimes, but I’m steering new buys elsewhere. If you’re new, be cautious — I wish I’d been more cautious myself.
