Genetic testing kit
Genetic testing kit
SpeedI can't believe how slow the service was, it was like nothing I've ever experienced before! Waiting for my results felt like forever, and I was so frustrated. I really thought things would move faster, especially considering how much I paid for the test. The whole process just seemed to drag on and on, and I was pretty disappointed with the service overall.
My DNA test
My DNA test
SpeedI ordered this DNA test and it's just taking so long to get here, you know? Like, it's been almost 2 months now and I still haven't even gotten my swab kit to check the actual results. First, it took forever to get to Bedford, and now it's just bouncing around the US like it's playing pinball or something. Ugh, it's frustrating. If they were just truthful about how long it would take, I wouldn't feel so irritated about it, you know?
About 23andMe
23andMe is a personal genomics and biotechnology company headquartered in the United States. Founded in 2006 by Anne Wojcicki, Linda Avey, and Paul Cusenza, the company has pioneered direct-to-consumer genetic testing, enabling individuals to explore their genetic ancestry, inherited traits, and potential health risk factors through DNA analysis. Customers receive a testing kit, provide a saliva sample, and send it back for laboratory analysis. 23andMe's services offer insights into genetic predispositions for certain diseases and conditions, as well as pharmacogenetics, which examines how genes affect a person's response to drugs. Over the years, 23andMe has also engaged in genetic research, contributing to scientific studies on genetics and health. The company has navigated regulatory challenges, securing approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for certain health-related genetic reports. Notably, 23andMe emphasizes privacy and consent, allowing customers to choose how their genetic information is used for research purposes.
