Recurring subscription payment issue
Recurring subscription payment issue
CommunicationI'm really disappointed with the company's service. They didn't even bother to let me know about the subscription payment that keeps coming out of my account. It's just not right to treat customers like that. I don't think I'll be using their services anymore.
Email update delay
Email update delay
CommunicationI've been trying to update my email with them since the start of January and it's honestly been such a pain. They said they'd follow up in February, but despite me reaching out and them saying they'd push my issue up, I still haven't gotten it sorted. I gave them all the info needed to prove who I am, but they keep dodging and not helping. They managed to change my son's email on his account super fast, but my request has been ignored for over 11 weeks now. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare and their excuse of being swamped causing delays is getting old after all this time.
About 23andMe
23andMe is a personal genomics and biotechnology company headquartered in the United States. Founded in 2006 by Anne Wojcicki, Linda Avey, and Paul Cusenza, the company has pioneered direct-to-consumer genetic testing, enabling individuals to explore their genetic ancestry, inherited traits, and potential health risk factors through DNA analysis. Customers receive a testing kit, provide a saliva sample, and send it back for laboratory analysis. 23andMe's services offer insights into genetic predispositions for certain diseases and conditions, as well as pharmacogenetics, which examines how genes affect a person's response to drugs. Over the years, 23andMe has also engaged in genetic research, contributing to scientific studies on genetics and health. The company has navigated regulatory challenges, securing approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for certain health-related genetic reports. Notably, 23andMe emphasizes privacy and consent, allowing customers to choose how their genetic information is used for research purposes.
