CancellationI was on the phone with the bank when the agent at Moon Palace said they'd refund the charge — that's when I thought, okay, this might get fixed. I'd booked through Booking.com on a pay-at-hotel rate and never expected the resort to take $8,700 from my card nine months early. It wiped out my credit and left me with bank and FX fees. I cancelled the trip, was told a refund would arrive in two weeks, but nearly five weeks later it's not in my account. Staff were polite on phone but slow.
