If you’re planning anything similar, a heads-up from me: pack a change of clothes and any essentials in carry-on, and save copies of itineraries and contacts on your phone. Ask your company to add insurance or tracking if it’s a high-stakes trip. I’m oddly upbeat about surviving the chaos — a bit shaken, a bit amused — but I’d hope for better luggage handling and more staff at airports next time. Overall, useful lessons learned and I’d fly again if needed, just a bit more prepared.
