Unexpected subscription mess
Unexpected subscription mess
PriceI hesitated before subscribing, worried it was a trap. I tried it last week — setup was messy, AI mostly useless, but one surprisingly helpful suggestion saved me time. Still annoyed about the charge.
Charged again after I cancelled
Charged again after I cancelled
PriceI wouldn’t rely on them for subscription billing. I bought Acrobat for my freelance paperwork after a move, needed it for client PDFs, paid the first year and thought I cancelled on time. Turns out I kept getting billed anyway. I called customer support to sort it out and they insisted I had renewed. Fine, show me proof. They couldn’t — allegedly they don’t keep renewal records older than six months. That felt wrong and left me in limbo with unexplained charges. I liked the app for editing, honestly, but this billing mess soured it. I’m disputing the charges with my card issuer and filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. If you need reliable billing transparency (and I did, since I’m on a tight freelance budget), be cautious. Could be an honest mistake, maybe, but the lack of records and the runaround made it really frustrating.
Old habit, new reality
Old habit, new reality
Pricebuy, install, go. Lately though things changed. I switched to the monthly plan a while back and it worked fine, no fuss, downloads were quick and updates came when they said. That was handy because I only edit photos every few months now. This month though they hiked my bill by about half with no heads-up. I tried to talk to someone. Hard to get a real person. Took the charge, then hit me with an early termination fee after I cancelled. Not great. So I moved on and bought Affinity as a one-time purchase — downloaded in minutes, support replied like a human and I was actually happy. Bottom line: delivery used to be reliable, and when it’s digital it still mostly is, but the customer service and billing side felt sour and clumsy. Not everything’s perfect, but the new setup does what I need and the switch was painless, which is a relief after feeling undervalued for years.
Good apps, rough billing
Good apps, rough billing
PricePhotoshop, Illustrator and others run smoothly, cloud sync works, updates arrive regularly. So it's reliable, yes, powerful. My main gripe remains the billing side: the early-termination charges feel punitive and the communication about them could be clearer. Cancelling was a bit clunky too, had to chase info. If they offered a flexible monthly option without penalties and made cancellation steps transparent, I'd be happier. Not perfect, but for creative work it's hard to beat; don't expect friendly cancellation terms. Also customer support on billing could use proactive explanations.
Almost cancelled my sanity, not the plan
Almost cancelled my sanity, not the plan
PriceI remember boiling the kettle and checking my inbox on a weekday afternoon when it all hit me — I’d been on a student plan billed monthly for a year and I'd made a note to cancel before renewal. Simple, right? Turned out not. When I went to cancel a few days early the site told me I’d be charged roughly $240 USD for cancelling “early,” even though I’d already paid for that last month. That felt wrong, so I asked ChatGPT what to do and it suggested cancelling right on the renewal day to avoid being hit. Fine.
Software sign-up
Software sign-up
PriceI signed up for a software free trial with this company recently and ran into a problem when I tried to cancel. Even though I read the terms and conditions carefully, I was surprised to find a big cancellation fee hidden in the fine print. It made me really frustrated and disappointed because I think it's sneaky and unfair to customers. I want to warn others to be careful when signing up for free trials with this company and make sure to go over all the terms and conditions beforehand to avoid any surprise fees or charges.
Subscription plans
Subscription plans
PriceTheir subscription plans are just awful. The software is way too expensive and there are much better options out there. I'm so glad I canceled my subscription, even though the fees were ridiculous.
Free trial scam
Free trial scam
PriceI tried out this company's free trial but wasn't happy with the product after just 3 days. I decided to cancel, but they still charged me for 2 months and threw in a cancellation fee. That's pretty sketchy and not cool. I'd recommend steering clear of this company if you don't want to get ripped off.
Free trial experience
Free trial experience
PriceThe free trial for this product was so disappointing. I thought I needed it for a project, but after I downloaded it and tried it out, I realized it wasn't what I wanted. I tried to cancel my subscription, but it didn't work. They told me I had to keep paying every month or pay a big fee to cancel early. Not knowing about the cancellation fee in advance was really frustrating and gave me a bad vibe.
Monthly subscription with link editor tool
Monthly subscription with link editor tool
PriceI signed up for a monthly membership without really checking out how to cancel it. When I tried to cancel after a few months, customer service gave me a hard time and wouldn't budge on the steep cancellation fees. It was frustrating to see how inflexible and unclear the subscription was. Next time, I'll make sure to do more research before picking a pdf editor service and consider other choices.

PriceI had a pretty bad time with this software subscription I got recently. The company's free trial wasn't what it seemed – they signed me up for a full year without me realizing, and then charged me monthly. When I tried to cancel after only a month, they slapped me with a big early termination fee. It just left me feeling so annoyed and tricked. I felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth, and it made me wonder if the company cares more about tricking people than actually being innovative.
Yearly plan turn into monthly
Yearly plan turn into monthly
PriceI was recently having a problem with my yearly plan turning into a monthly subscription after the first year. It's been four years of putting up with the software getting worse because of the cloud thing, so I finally said, "That's it," and cancelled my subscription. But here's the kicker - I had to fork over money upfront for six months of a "yearly subscription" just so I could cancel. Talk about frustrating! It left me feeling let down and irritated with the whole situation.
Subscription price increase
Subscription price increase
PriceSo, eh, like, I was totally pumped to sign up for this super sick subscription service, eh? It was at a decent price and I was getting some awesome stuff out of it. But then, out of nowhere, they decided to just hike up the price without even asking me! Like, what even is that, eh? It's not cool at all! Now I'm stuck paying more money for the same stuff, unless I wanna fork out even more cash to cancel. It's so not fair, dude. Why would they do that to their customers, eh?

PriceTheir pricing is just ridiculous, eh? I cancelled my subscription after a year and they had the nerve to charge me $150. It's just not right, you know? I always make sure to let others in my industry know about their sneaky ways. Luckily, there are more competitors now offering better choices.

PriceOh man, I had this subscription and the price just kept going up. It was super annoying! I ended up cancelling it, but now I have to constantly sign in, which sucks. Adobe is just the worst.
