Thought it was gone — then a surprise credit
1 reviews
Funny thing — I almost wrote it off after two weeks of silence, saw the theme on a Reddit thread and told a coworker to check it out. Then on day 16 the seller replied with a fix and threw in a store credit. That’s when I relaxed.

Billed after I thought I cancelled

I hesitated before signing up — worried about recurring charges and support. I use the app daily for work file sync, and it does that well. Still, I was billed after cancelling and getting help is a maze.

Took a while, but it worked

Halfway through the rebuild I remember thinking this might actually work — after a rough start with broken templates (had to launch fast after moving my shop), it clicked when the demo finally loaded and customers could book. Still flaky in parts, but overall relieved and pleasantly surprised.

they escalated, cleaned the file and sorted licences. Still a bit nervous, but glad it worked out.

Code hiccup, slow help
2 reviews
Bought a product code and it stopped working after I installed it. Couldn't deactivate it myself, which was annoying. Support said they'd take up to five days — pretty vague. After a few days they actually helped and reactivated things, so I'm relieved, but honestly the wait and uncertainty left a bad taste. Would prefer faster responses.

Small hiccup, solid result

I realized I was satisfied when they refunded my yearly plan and fixed it within two days. That quick response made me stick with them. I use their fonts, UI kits and Figma wireframes in client work every day. The library is handy and it actually speeds up my workflow.

Quick delivery, billing hiccup
17 reviews
Was halfway through a couple videos when I realized they'd charged me for a year instead of the monthly plan — irritating, but the content arrived immediately and customer service actually helped sort most of it fast. I opened a PayPal dispute for the extra months, but overall their support and delivery were solid; check the billing.

Didn’t expect much, got a solid theme
4 reviews
Bought a theme from this marketplace kind of on a whim, even though I’d been burned by other places before. The theme itself surprised me — light-weight, loads fast, and actually easy to tweak; I was changing colours and layouts within an hour. Installer was straightforward, the demo imports worked, and the finished site feels professional without feeling overblown. Support replied in a couple of messages and helped sort a setting, nothing dramatic. Price wasn’t cheapest but felt fair for what you get. Small hiccups, but overall pleasantly surprised and glad I tried it.

Envato said no, and basically told me to buy something else before they'd consider giving the money back. That left me annoyed and out of pocket, especially with our exchange rate. Kinda disappointing, honestly.

Locked out, but slick design
9 reviews
Two years ago, in 2023, I signed up because the feature list looked promising. First impression was actually positive — the app felt polished and the UI was clean, which surprised me. Then, within an hour my account got flagged and locked and I couldn’t use anything. Support made cancellation a maze, they promised to cancel but never did and no refund. Been charged for three years for an account I can’t access. Frustrating, but I still think the product could be decent if they fix support and cancellations.

Unexpected annual charge
19 reviews
They charged me for a year when I thought I signed up for a month. That’s the bottom line. Pricing page showed $16.50/month. I only needed it a month, so I signed up and then cancelled the same day. Instead of a monthly charge I was billed $198 for an annual plan. Checkout didn’t make that clear. Support refused a refund because I had downloaded files, even though their promo says 'unlimited downloads.' That felt like bait-and-switch. I’ve had cleaner billing at other sites, so I was suspicious from the start. Plus the downloads worked right away, so I did get what I paid for, even if the rest was frustrating.

Locked out with no real reason
8 reviews
Weird, like showing up to a closed shop — I logged in expecting my usual dashboard and all my themes and plugins and then… nothing. Account disabled, no heads-up, no warning email. I’ve been buying from this place for years and usually the site feels reliable, downloads are quick and everything just works, so this was jarring. I contacted support and got a vague line about “internal policies” they can't share — ok, but that doesn’t help me get at the stuff I paid for. It feels cheap, frankly, the way there’s no clear reason or any steps to fix it, and yes I did wonder if someone hacked my login. I’ve had clearer explanations from other platforms, so this stood out. Still, I’m relieved the purchases themselves appear intact on my backup drives — small mercy. Overall I’m thankful it wasn’t worse, but frustrated with the lack of transparency and the interruption to my workflow.

Hit-and-miss, but useful enough

I was messing around with this for my music videos and honestly it’s a mixed bag. Some of the tiny AI clips worked fine and slipped into my edits without me fussing—those moments felt almost effortless, and I’m actually glad about that. But the thing that annoyed me most was the complete lack of human support. No chat, no phone, nothing. If something trips a policy flag, you’re stuck guessing why. That happened to me when I tried to make a soft, slightly transparent portrait move like smoke — fully clothed, tame, 4–5 second loop — and it kept blocking me and even locked me out once. I read the policy twice and still didn’t see the problem. So yeah, that’s a real pain when you’ve already paid for a year. I’m an independent artist, I use short clips in daily edits and live shows, so downtime or weird blocks actually cost me time. Still, when it works it’s a handy tool; saves me from doing frame-by-frame stuff. I wish they had a real person to ask about policy misses, or at least clearer diagnostics. For now I’ll keep using it, but cautiously and mostly for quick filler clips, hoping support gets better.

Theme dud, refund was the small win
2 reviews
I was half asleep setting up a site for my partner’s little online shop — we needed something fast because we’d just moved and the physical market stuff wasn’t cutting it — when the theme I bought just crashed on activation. Fatal PHP errors, missing core files, and it leaned on KingComposer Pro, which I later learned was pulled from WP.org in 2022 for security reasons. At first I felt stupid and stuck; I’m not a developer, I just wanted a workable storefront after a bad run with a previous theme that caused downtime. Envato’s initial “no refunds on digital products” reply left me pretty annoyed, but after I sent clear screenshots, error logs and quoted parts of their policy, they finally issued the refund. That is the moment I breathed out and knew it was over for me — getting my money back felt like being made whole, and when I installed a different, reputable theme it actually worked right away (minor tweaks needed, but nothing fatal). Still, it’s worrying the broken theme is still listed months later and my warning comments vanished quickly. So yeah, not perfect — customer service took effort and the marketplace clearly needs better checks — but getting the refund and a working theme made me satisfied enough to move on.

Small purchase, weird fallout
1 reviews
I hesitated a lot before buying — partly because this was my first time getting anything like a white‑label app/template off that marketplace, and partly because I’d heard mixed things from other sellers. In the end I bought two items (a taxi app clone and a WooCommerce theme) to test how fast I could get a brand up. At first the code worked fine and I thought, okay, not bad. Then I noticed another buyer publishing apps using the exact brand name I’d coined for my project. That really threw me — I’d assumed a name I invented would stay unique to my build. I raised it with support, pushed it up the chain, sent screenshots and everything. Their final reply was basically “no violation,” and they closed it. I even tried leaving a public review to warn others, but it was removed because the “review window” had passed. So my doubts before buying didn’t really disappear; they turned into a different worry about privacy/ownership handling. If you care about keeping your app identity exclusive, be careful — I wish I’d been more cautious or used a different vendor. Small rant, but that’s my take.

Not what I expected, but at least I got my money back
23 reviews
the developer claimed I never reached out, and the marketplace sided with them at first — even after I explained the portal failures. At one point they asked me to keep trying the same broken system. I threatened a chargeback when I’d had enough, which is not something I do lightly. After that things moved, but only because I pushed. I eventually got a response and, after more back-and-forth, the issue was resolved through a refund (via my card issuer, not the seller). So the positive: I’m relieved I didn’t lose money and the whole mess is closed. The negative: the plugin itself felt unfinished and the support experience was disjointed — jumping through error screens, re-supplying access details multiple times, and repeating myself. If you’re thinking of using this, test on a staging site first, keep screenshots and timestamps, and be ready to fight for a refund if the support system is flaky. I’m honestly glad it worked out in the end, but I wouldn’t recommend relying on this plugin or that support flow without a backup plan.

Small win, mixed feelings

the problem was gone and my site behaved again. That felt good, honest to God it did.
But then the odd part: the fix never appeared back on Envato Elements. The author had removed the theme from Elements after patching it on ThemeForest. I asked support why the update wasn’t pushed to subscribers and was basically told they can’t tell authors what to do. So yeah, I’m glad the bug got fixed — that moment of satisfaction really mattered — but annoyed that loyal subscribers lost access while pay-per-download folks got the fix. It’s a weird mix of thankful (for the fix) and frustrated (about how it was handled). I hope they figure out a better way to keep things fair for people who use this stuff every day.
