Great phone, shaky support

Service

Phone is slick and fast, I love it, but support was slow — hope they sort that

Screen sorted, kinda surprised

Service

Halfway through my morning routine the screen went dark — expected a costly out-of-warranty fix. Their WhatsApp answer was prompt and they repaired it free, which honestly eased my doubts.

Phone swap after an IMEI headache

Service

Walking out of the store I felt a bit uneasy — I’d wanted a OnePlus but kept thinking maybe I should stick with a safer brand. Bought it anyway and those doubts showed up later. When I asked AT&T to unlock the phone they said the IMEI wasn’t valid. Switched to Xfinity Mobile a few weeks after and got the same message. Contacted OnePlus and they punted me back to the seller, saying it wasn’t on their end. Best Buy staff couldn’t unlock it either, but the manager was reasonable and let me trade it for a Samsung so I didn’t have a useless phone. Customer support from OnePlus was basically a loop of blame between carriers and sellers — not helpful, and that’s what annoyed me most. I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB and talked to Best Buy about not selling this model until it’s fixed. If you’re thinking of buying one, ask for IMEI verification up front or just consider another brand. Frustrating experience but relieved it got sorted in the end.

Thought it’d be handy, turned out to be a headache

Service

I actually bought this watch because I needed something to track my recovery from a bad back — steps, sleep, heart rate, that practical stuff. At first it felt good on the wrist, straps comfy, screen responsive, all that. Then after about two months it just failed with what looked like water damage, and I hadn't taken it near water. That’s when the whole experience went sideways. The local place in Sweden tried to charge me something like four times the watch price for a “repair” — I refused, obviously. OnePlus support got involved and kept promising a 30% discount on a replacement, but every week they changed what I had to send or do, so it felt like chasing them in circles. Little bits of helpful-sounding email, but no real solution. I’ve owned their phones before with no problems, so this is disappointing — mainly because of the support, not the hardware itself. I felt let down and a bit tired of the back-and-forth. Won’t risk buying from them again unless support improves.

Late doubts that never left

Service

two OnePlus 13s, a 13R and a couple of watches. At first I told myself it was fine, but one of the 13s started acting up about two months ago. Apps take ages to open, sometimes they time out and return errors. I figured it would sort itself out, I really did. I even kept the Pixel as a backup so it didn't feel urgent. Then it hit me that if this phone was my only device, I'd be stuck. So I called customer service. A rep named Catalina walked me through the usual steps — clear cache (I do that already), then factory reset. I asked if it was normal to buy an expensive phone and have to factory reset it six months later. Her reply was polite but basically, sorry you're dissatisfied. That was it. No deeper troubleshooting, no escalation. I'm left feeling let down and a bit annoyed, to be blunt. I had been considering tablets and earbuds from the brand too, but after this I'm pausing those plans. Small emotional note: it's disappointing when a brand you liked becomes the source of your doubts instead of the solution.

Phone repair

Service

I've been a loyal customer for so many years, but lately, the quality of both the product and service has let me down. My phone keeps getting that annoying green line and even after a few visits to the service center, the issue still hasn't been fixed. On top of that, other apps are acting up and the back cover is starting to come off. It's a real pain to get the phone fixed because the closest service center is 20km away.

Replacement OnePlus Open

Service

After waiting for 2 and a half months, I finally got my replacement OnePlus Open, but when I opened it up, I realized it had different issues. So I reached out to support once more and they told me to send it in for repairs. It feels like I'm stuck in a loop of getting faulty devices from OnePlus.

Bluetooth headphones (One year warranty)

Service

I bought a set of Bluetooth headphones from this company recently and ran into a big problem with one earphone not working. I contacted customer service to get the pick-up and repair service and sent in a request. A week later, I got the package back, but my product was even more damaged and couldn't be used at all. Even after showing them videos and photos of me unboxing the product, the customer service team wanted more proof and ended up cancelling my request. It was really disappointing and showed a lack of care and support for customers.

Nasty Experience

Service

Eh, I gotta tell ya, it's like totally impossible to get any help from this company! They seriously make it so darn hard for ya to fix your phone. I had a phone with a broken part and they were just like, whatever! It's like they want you to go through agony! When I tried to get a replacement part under warranty, it was as likely as me summoning a unicorn. And I've been a fan since their very first phone came out! My tip for everyone is if your phone breaks, just toss it like a frisbee or gift it to someone you really can't stand, eh.

Faulty inner screen, 11 weeks of waiting

Service

My phone's screen stopped working only 19 days after I bought it, which was really annoying because it cost me a lot. I tried to contact customer service several times by phone and messages, but it took them about 5 weeks to fix the screen. But then the problem came back after just a few hours of using it. It's been about 6 weeks now, and I'm still waiting for them to approve a second repair. All they keep saying is that they're "working on it." It's been 11 long weeks with a broken phone and the lack of a proper solution or communication is so frustrating. I even had to complain to the BBB and the California Department of Justice.

Terrible customer service

Service

There is absolutely no customer service with this company. The product is okay until you need to return it, then you're pretty much on your own! I've been completely ignored for months with no proper way to file a complaint. I've sent emails with no response, and even the chat staff admitted that they haven't bothered to even look at or address my complaint. It's been 8 weeks and I'm still waiting for my refund.

OnePlus Open purchase November 2023

Service

The OnePlus Open is an amazing phone, top notch in performance and features. It's honestly one of the best phones I've ever had. But, after just 6 months of using it like I normally would, the folding part started acting up. I was opening it, like usual, and out of nowhere, it just stopped working properly. The left screen turned a weird green and wouldn't fully open. I sent it for repair right away, but they hit me with a big bill of £710.69 because apparently, they found some supposed damage that voided the warranty. They had to replace the battery, lens/display assembly, sticker, and screening. The repair guys over at SBE seemed uninterested and actually caused more damage trying to fix it. It's not right, I didn't do anything to deliberately mess it up. I've made a complaint and now I'm waiting to hear back, but I'm ready to take things further if needed.

Smartphone GPS issue

Service

I had the worst customer service experience the other day when my phone's GPS went wonky. I reached out for help but was told to do a factory reset, which ended up bricking my phone. I wasted so much time on a useless fix. Seems like they care more about following procedures than actually solving problems - they could've just offered to replace the faulty device instead.

Oneplus Watch 2 charger replacement

Service

I bought the Oneplus Watch 2 not too long ago and ran into a problem with the charger. I reached out to customer service and sent a video like they asked, but they wanted me to return the whole Watch, even though I told them only the charger was the issue. We went back and forth for a while, and they finally agreed to send a new charger, but they haven't done it yet. I've sent multiple emails that have been ignored and now I'm stuck with a Watch that I can't charge or use. Their lack of response and how they handled such a simple charger replacement makes me wonder how they deal with more complicated issues.

Foldable phone purchase

Service

I got this flip phone at the end of November last year. But in early February, I saw this huge green line on the screen. That got me worried because I need this phone for work. So, I called customer service and they said it would take 7-10 days for the warranty repair. But guess what? It's been 7 weeks now and still no fix. They keep making empty promises and giving excuses. At first, they wouldn't even tell me how long it would take, and then 10 days ago they said it would be all good by the next day. They keep saying sorry, but they haven't done anything to actually fix it.

Recent phone purchase

Service

I bought a phone from your company not too long ago, and I'm pretty happy with the quality considering the price. But I gotta talk about the customer service situation I had. When I reached out about a problem I was having, they were fast to try and explain things but kinda dropped the ball on giving me a quick or helpful solution.

Stylus tab issue

Service

Hey, so I've been purchasing stuff for a while now, and recently my tablet stylus just conked out on me. I got in touch with the team and they promised quick support, but I ended up waiting and waiting with no updates in sight. I kept reaching out, they kept promising an update was coming soon, but in the end, nothing happened. To top it off, I got banned out of nowhere! I offered some constructive feedback and now they won't even bother looking into my problem. This has got to be the absolute worst after-sales service I've ever had, and you can bet I won't be buying from them again!

Faulty phone, terrible customer service

Service

I just got a new phone, but there's a problem with the screen protector. I reached out to customer service to get a replacement, but they're not being very helpful or quick about it. I really need the phone for an upcoming trip, and the fact that they're taking their time is just not okay. This company is seriously the worst I've ever dealt with.
