Kept it tidy four years. Needed it—work. Had doubts before buying; they faded — until a green line, £300 repair.

Bought the OnePlus Tab 3 because I'm gradually losing my sight and needed a bigger screen. They advertised an essential-worker 30% discount; I jumped through the hoops, registered my work email and everything. At checkout there was no discount. Felt like a waste of time, honestly, kinda scammed.

I hesitated but needed a phone for daily work and kids' photos. Paid extra for next-day shipping; a week later still no delivery, no update. Kept checking, still nothing, sigh.

Halfway through my morning routine the screen went dark — expected a costly out-of-warranty fix. Their WhatsApp answer was prompt and they repaired it free, which honestly eased my doubts.

I almost didn’t buy this because I’d read horror stories, and I was wary, but I hoped updates would help. After the latest patch the Wi-Fi keeps dropping and Bluetooth only turns on when the phone’s fully unlocked. Bit annoying — other brands patched quicker, so I’m not thrilled.

Here's the thing, don't buy from them. My order never shipped. I kept emailing and called, but the rep Zack Russell refused a refund or to resend the items. It's getting ridiculous — I just want my money back or the order sent again. If you're thinking of ordering, maybe wait or double-check.

I actually opened it while half-packed for a move, which is probably why I noticed the glitches right away. It needed to be solid — my back's been acting up and I was relying on this phone for physio videos and walks tracking, plus coordinating movers, so I was not in the mood for drama. At first some apps behaved oddly and I was ready to toss it back, and customer replies felt robotic, very meh. I pushed a bit though, sent the videos they asked for (annoying but fine) and after a couple of days someone finally followed through. Delivery was quick and the box was fine, so that part was great. In the end the issue got sorted faster than I expected. Still a tiny cranky feeling about the first contact, but overall I'm happy I stuck with it.

I bought a phone because my old one died and I needed it for work, so I was on a tight timeline. The parcel never showed; the carrier admitted they’d lost it. OnePlus was slow — two weeks of "we’re looking into it" and no real updates. After several messages I started a credit card dispute and finally got my money back. That refund moment is when I felt satisfied — relief more than anything. Not great service, extra stress, but the refund fixed the main issue.

I wasn't sure how this would go, honestly. The order took longer than I wanted and there were a few back-and-forths with paperwork, but when the box finally showed up it felt like a small victory. The unit itself is solid — good heft, simple controls, nothing fussy. I’ve been using it every morning; it fits right into my routine and makes that bit of daily life easier. It warms up quick, feels sturdy under use, and cleaning is straightforward, which I appreciate. I do wish the ordering part had been smoother — felt like they kept asking for one more thing. Still, once it arrived the product delivered on what I expected and then some. Not perfect, but satisfying. If you can be patient with the process, this one’s a keeper. Little annoyances aside, I’m glad I stuck with it.

Trade-in that turned into a lesson

smooth, too good to worry about. Then the handoff to Mondoaffari happened and things shifted. The final offer was much lower than the quote. I started emailing. Short, polite messages. Mostly canned answers back. Weeks went by. No payment. A lot of back-and-forth that never fixed anything. It got draining. I was out cash and patience. The moment I felt oddly satisfied came later — when I wrote this up to warn others. Not because everything was fixed. Far from it. But because sharing the experience felt like taking action, like finally doing something useful with all that stress. I’m relieved to have said it out loud. I’d hoped OnePlus would manage their partners better. If you’re thinking of their trade-in, check who’s handling it and keep receipts. Emotional note: I’m still annoyed, but at least I don’t feel helpless anymore.

it woke up, set up in two minutes and the camera caught my kid mid-laugh — sharp, colours that actually looked like real life, and I just laughed out loud (totally unexpected). Battery lasted way longer than I thought — I forgot to charge overnight and still got through a full day of maps, calls and a few podcasts. Delivery was smooth, packaging was tidy (there was even a little sticker — silly detail, but it made me smile). Customer chat had a tiny hiccup at first, but they sorted it quick. I’ve been recommending it casually to friends ever since. Not perfect, but honestly — that first proper photo sold it for me.

Phone swap after an IMEI headache

Walking out of the store I felt a bit uneasy — I’d wanted a OnePlus but kept thinking maybe I should stick with a safer brand. Bought it anyway and those doubts showed up later. When I asked AT&T to unlock the phone they said the IMEI wasn’t valid. Switched to Xfinity Mobile a few weeks after and got the same message. Contacted OnePlus and they punted me back to the seller, saying it wasn’t on their end. Best Buy staff couldn’t unlock it either, but the manager was reasonable and let me trade it for a Samsung so I didn’t have a useless phone. Customer support from OnePlus was basically a loop of blame between carriers and sellers — not helpful, and that’s what annoyed me most. I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB and talked to Best Buy about not selling this model until it’s fixed. If you’re thinking of buying one, ask for IMEI verification up front or just consider another brand. Frustrating experience but relieved it got sorted in the end.

Mixed feelings after four months

I'm glad I tried the OnePlus 12, but part of me misses my Samsung more than I expected. I’ve had this phone about four months now — I bought it during an upgrade sale — and at first it felt fast and slick, pretty exciting even. First impressions were solid: nice screen, clean design, premium feel. But little things started to pile up and irritate me. The direct-dial and text widgets only take up a tiny slice of the screen, which feels like a waste. Trying to mirror to my Samsung TV turned into a fiddly mess — it insists both devices be on the same network (Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth) and still acts up. The fingerprint sensor is hit-or-miss, maybe works 40% of the time; my old S21 was way better there. I really miss Samsung’s calendar and email — other apps I tried aren’t nearly as intuitive. I like the phone’s look, except that camera bump is ridiculous and sometimes interferes with wireless charging. The personal hotspot nags every time I use it about "overuse" — okay, I know, but I rely on it. Timeline/location can’t be pinned to my home screen and GPS is sometimes wildly off, even puts me at a neighbour’s at night. I’ll give it to year-end before deciding, but weirdly it’s been growing on me again.

I actually bought this watch because I needed something to track my recovery from a bad back — steps, sleep, heart rate, that practical stuff. At first it felt good on the wrist, straps comfy, screen responsive, all that. Then after about two months it just failed with what looked like water damage, and I hadn't taken it near water. That’s when the whole experience went sideways. The local place in Sweden tried to charge me something like four times the watch price for a “repair” — I refused, obviously. OnePlus support got involved and kept promising a 30% discount on a replacement, but every week they changed what I had to send or do, so it felt like chasing them in circles. Little bits of helpful-sounding email, but no real solution. I’ve owned their phones before with no problems, so this is disappointing — mainly because of the support, not the hardware itself. I felt let down and a bit tired of the back-and-forth. Won’t risk buying from them again unless support improves.

two OnePlus 13s, a 13R and a couple of watches. At first I told myself it was fine, but one of the 13s started acting up about two months ago. Apps take ages to open, sometimes they time out and return errors. I figured it would sort itself out, I really did. I even kept the Pixel as a backup so it didn't feel urgent. Then it hit me that if this phone was my only device, I'd be stuck. So I called customer service. A rep named Catalina walked me through the usual steps — clear cache (I do that already), then factory reset. I asked if it was normal to buy an expensive phone and have to factory reset it six months later. Her reply was polite but basically, sorry you're dissatisfied. That was it. No deeper troubleshooting, no escalation. I'm left feeling let down and a bit annoyed, to be blunt. I had been considering tablets and earbuds from the brand too, but after this I'm pausing those plans. Small emotional note: it's disappointing when a brand you liked becomes the source of your doubts instead of the solution.

I first spotted the deal on a tech Instagram account and even told my brother about it — looked like a solid buy. I ordered a phone and a watch, paid right away, then the tracking later said "delivered" and I stared at an empty doorstep. Asked neighbours, checked the building office, nothing. I reached out to customer support a bunch of times; responses felt like copy-paste and then one rep, Zack, stopped answering after a few emails. They kept saying they'd sort it out, same line every time, but no refund, no reship, nothing. I'm in Toronto and it’s the delivery claim combined with the radio silence from CS that bugs me most. I was actually excited for the phone — photos and specs looked great — so it's annoying to be left hanging. I did tip a friend to look at the same promo and now I’m a bit embarrassed. Still hoping they do the right thing; a real phone call or an actual person following up would calm things down. For now I'm keeping all emails and screenshots, just in case. It's unresolved and frustrating, but not impossible to fix if someone actually follows through.
