Christmas gift return
I had to return a Christmas gift and the customer service I received was really disappointing. They confirmed they got the item on January 8th, but it's been almost 20 days and I still haven't received the store credit they promised. This delay in giving me my money back is not okay at all. I'm a customer and I deserve better service and quick answers, especially when it comes to returns.
Durable and high-quality goods
As a loyal customer of the company, I've gotta say I'm continuously blown away by the toughness and top-notch quality of the stuff I've bought. Their products have consistently gone above and beyond my hopes and have stuck with me for years. The classic vibe of the products is really what makes them stand out from the rest. I've bought a bunch of stuff like jackets, hats, shirts, vests, and suitcases, and all of them have held up like champs and will definitely be handed down to the next generation.
Jacket Warranty Repair
I just gotta tell ya, I had to use the lifetime warranty on my good ol' jacket from this store that's been with me for a whopping 35 years. The fabric had gotten too thick for other repair places to deal with, but after I put in a claim on their website and followed the super clear instructions they gave me, I got my jacket back all fixed up within a month. Not only did they put back the missing button, they also beefed up another one and gave the fabric a new coat of wax. The whole process went real smooth and the final result was even better than I could've hoped for. I'm so pumped to rock my trusty jacket again, all thanks to their awesome service!
Flannel shirt
I just bought this flannel shirt from the store and at first, I was really happy with how nice and comfy it was. But, the other day, one of the snaps on the shirt popped off after only a few times wearing it. I was kinda upset about it because I expected the shirt to be more durable, especially for how much I paid for it. When I contacted customer service about the problem, it was a pain dealing with them and they weren't very helpful either. So, I don't think I'll be shopping at that store again in the future.
Filson Short Lined Cruiser Jacket - Poor quality
The Filson Short Lined Cruiser Jacket I bought turned out to be a bit of a letdown. After only six months, a seam on the front opened up, leaving a 1cm hole. It's not what I expected from a jacket that's supposed to be tough and last a long time. Every time I look at it, it annoys me, so I had to write this review to let others know about my experience.
Durable winter coat purchase
I'm pretty bummed to hear that the company decided to move production overseas. One of the reasons I was initially drawn to their brand was because of their reputation for making top-notch stuff right here in the USA. Now that I know my pricey winter coat was made overseas and isn't up to par, it's tough to justify the cost. It feels like the company cares more about their marketing than the actual quality of their products. All in all, I'm not too pleased with where the company is heading.
High quality waxed jacket
I decided to invest in a really good waxed jacket that would last a long time, so I got the Tin Cloth Field jacket. But when I wore it out in the rain for the first time, the water seeped through the shoulders and chest because those areas weren't waxed properly. Now the jacket is pretty much useless unless I wear a liner with it. So now I've got this faulty £575 jacket just hanging there on a hook for two months, can't even use it in the rain.
Lined Goatskin Gloves
As a customer, I am totally disappointed with my experience with the company. The prices for products are way too high, with the same item costing almost double in the UK store compared to the US store. This pricing strategy is unacceptable and leaves a bad impression on any consumer. Plus, moving production to Asia has led to a drop in the quality of materials used. So customers end up paying more for products that are not as good. All in all, my experience with the company has been a letdown and I wouldn't suggest it to others.
Bag repair warranty
My bag was looking pretty beat up, so I decided to send it in for repairs. I received a free shipping label and sent it off with a note describing the damage. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was covered under warranty! I was expecting a simple stitching job, but they went above and beyond and replaced the entire leather mount. When I got it back, it looked brand new! The only downside was the wait time, so be sure to send it in well before you need it back. I sent mine in August and received it back in November, so the turnaround time wasn't too bad at all.
Stetson hat
Oh my gosh, you won't believe what happened when my family and I went to that store to find a Stetson hat for New Year's. It was seriously the worst! The lady working there was so rude, it felt like we were just a bother to her. She didn't even pay attention to what we were asking for and ended up giving us the wrong sizes and colors. It was such a letdown and not at all like how I remembered that store being. There was another guy who used to work there and he was so nice, but he wasn't around this time. It makes me wonder why they can't all be as friendly as him.
Online order for Christmas gifts
Eh, my recent experience with ordering from this company online has been a real headache, ya know? I tried to grab some Christmas gifts a few times, but my credit card kept gettin' declined. Turns out it was all 'cause of that third-party processor Bolt messin' things up and cancellin' my orders. I gotta say, this has been my worst experience ever with an online store. I'd say it's best to steer clear of this company and check out other places for your shopping needs, eh.
Dryden bag purchase
I received this bag in the mail and OMG it was totally not the same color as the pictures online! It was way darker and I was like, what the heck?! I still like it, but I was so disappointed that the color wasn't what I expected. Like, did they use a million lights when they took the pics or something? So misleading! 😠 But then, they were so nice and changed the color to the right one when I contacted them. That was super awesome, so now I'm happy again. The bag itself is also really good quality and works great, so that's a plus. Overall, I give it 4 stars because of the customer service and the great quality of the bag.
Workwear Jacket Purchase
My experience with the company has been really disappointing. Last year, I ordered a workwear jacket and got the wrong size. I tried reaching out to customer service to return it, but they were unavailable and didn't respond for weeks. After many tries, I had to contact my credit card company to get a refund. This year, I thought I'd give them another shot and placed another order. But even though they charged my card right away, they never shipped the item. Once again, trying to get in touch with customer service has been useless, claiming they're unavailable for two weeks. The lack of communication and resolution from this company has been terrible, and I regret giving them a second chance. It's frustrating to see such bad customer service from a company that should put the customers' satisfaction first.
Bag repair service
I have been a loyal customer of this company for over 8 years and I've always been super happy with their products. However, my recent experience with their bag repair service has left me feeling really let down. The bag I've had for over 8 years is starting to look worn out, especially around the strap and brass fastener. I tried to get it fixed, but I don't have the receipt from all those years back and the shop in London where I bought it is closed. Even though I filled out all the forms and sent pictures of the damage, I was told by a company in Italy that they can't fix it without a receipt. This whole process is really disappointing and doesn't match the company's reputation for quality and customer service.
Recent online purchase
So, I just bought something online and I admit I was a bit worried because I saw some mixed reviews. But hey, it all turned out good in the end. I placed my order on a Sunday night on the Canadian website. Even though I didn't get an email confirming my order, I could still check my order status on the website. By Tuesday, I got a tracking number from a different company, not the one I bought from, and my order showed up on my doorstep by Friday morning. And get this, I didn't have to pay any extra fees. Overall, I was happy with how everything went down.
Shirt made in an overseas factory
As someone who cares about where my clothes come from, I was pretty disappointed to find out that the shirt I bought was made in a factory overseas instead of here at home. It's frustrating when a brand promotes American-made products but doesn't follow through. And to top it off, when my order was shipped to Canada, I ended up having to pay $70 in duties and customs fees, which really added up. But when I tried to talk to customer service about it, they kind of brushed off my concerns and didn't really address the issues.
Premium US-made product disappointment
As a long-time fan of this iconic brand, I've always appreciated the top-notch American-made products and exceptional customer service that Filson is known for. However, I was really let down to see that there are hardly any US-made items in the catalog now, which has really affected my shopping experience. The customer service I received during my recent purchase was also not up to par with what I'm used to from Filson. As someone who doesn't mind paying a bit extra for quality and great service, this change in the brand's offerings has left me feeling disappointed and on the hunt for another trustworthy supplier to meet my needs. Sadly, I've unsubscribed from Filson's emails and will be shopping elsewhere from now on.
Hat purchase
I bought a hat here not too long ago, but had to return it because it didn't fit right. I ordered it about 20 months ago, and I needed a certain size that was sold out the whole time. I reached out to customer service a couple of times, but their responses were not very helpful - it was like talking to a brick wall. I'm annoyed that they didn't let me know when the item was back in stock, and overall, the customer service was disappointing. I'll wait and see if my new hat order makes things better.
Bag purchase
So I went online and bought this bag, I was so pumped to get it! But then, I never heard back about my order. So, I decided to reach out to them and they were all like, "Oops, sorry we don't even have that bag anymore." Like, seriously?! And then, getting my money back took like forever. So not cool, eh. I'm definitely not gonna buy from them again.
Internet purchase return experience
My experience with returning stuff I bought online was a real letdown. I had to send back two things by mail, and I was shocked to see they charged me a crazy fee of £30. This has gotta be the worst return policy I've seen from any store. I was hoping for a more customer-focused way of handling returns, especially for online orders where we can't try stuff on first and it's a risk for us customers.
