Kept me playing
23 reviews
So there I was, stuck on the couch after a bad back tweak and figured I'd try the game as a pass-time. At first I assumed it was all pay-to-win — the matches felt uneven and some bots were absurd — but after a few sessions the controls felt crisp, progression isn't instant but it grows on you. Support lagged, price felt high, yet it actually kept me playing.

I remember being in alliance chat when it started — one player just kept at people, trash-talking and pushing everyone’s buttons. I reported him to support and even told a buddy to keep an eye, but the troublemaker walked away with a light warning while folks who pushed back got punished. Kinda worn out by the uneven moderation, it really made me pause playing, honestly.

Good fun, with a price nudge

Enjoyed it overall, but the pay edge is annoying. I could play Raid for ages without dropping cash, which was a relief at first. Still, eventually you hit a wall if you want to be truly competitive and that's where the wallet whispers loudly. That’s disappointing, yet the gameplay kept me coming back, fun and oddly satisfying. Had worse experiences with other studios who lock everything. I'll try more from them, curious and slightly wary.

Late-night tweakiness

bot-like opponents and shifting algorithms. Kinda annoying, honestly, and I felt duped after buying a handful of boosts that did almost nothing.

Looks polished, feels unfair

I downloaded Mech Arena hoping for a way to unwind after long shifts and to test it for a short clip — I needed something low-effort because my back’s been acting up. The visuals are polished and matches start fast. But the progression is clearly pay-to-win. You face opponents with gear you can’t reach without spending. Matchmaking feels skewed and some glitches make rounds pointless. I recorded several clips and posted feedback, yet support was slow and vague. That paywall grind is the real problem. I kept at it to prove the issues, but I regret the time.

Still uninstalling, but can't deny the patch

support actually replied within two days and sorted a billing mix-up (surprised me). So yeah, still skeptical — the rest feels toxic — but that customer service moment tipped me from pure hate to grudging respect. If you're trying it, set strict time limits. Don't expect miracles though.

Fun but wallet beware

set a firm spending limit or don't start. Customer support was meh and the store layout confusing at times, fwiw.

Surprisingly quick delivery

some bits are clunky and the in-app prices are on the high side, so I still wince when checking out. But overall the experience is solid because delivery was on time and service was helpful. Also, a tiny freebie or quicker refunds would seal the deal.

Feels scripted and pricey
24 reviews
I picked this up because I needed something low-effort while recovering from a bad back — wanted to zone out a few hours. First few matches felt fine, then it became obvious it's mostly bots run by an AI that paces wins and losses. Feels less like playing people and more like playing a slot machine with a controller. Upgrades eat real money and after couple months some weapons or mechs are basically nerfed into uselessness, so you either keep spending or watch stuff stop working. Gameplay is repetitive, same handful of loadouts over and over, lots of auto behaviours — little skill matters. There are flashes where the maps or effects look neat, so I wasn't bored, but overall it's frustrating and expensive. Wouldn't recommend if you want fair matches or something that rewards time instead of cash.

Slow drip to a thinner wallet

you get comfortable with $2.99, then $5.99, then $15.99 — it’s designed to scale you into spending more. Events feel artificially stingy during fusion/upgrade windows so you end up buying more shards or materials. I’m not saying don’t play — it did do the trick for my downtime — but be cautious. Track your spending, expect delays sometimes, and don’t rely on support to fix every purchase quickly. A little fun, just don’t let it become a habit that digs into your savings.

Quick heads-up from a regular

if you want to enjoy this game long-term without paying, good luck — it's built around spending. I started messing with it about six months ago during a slow weekend; at first I was sold on the polish — nice visuals, slick menus — and thought it might be something to keep coming back to. That shiny first impression stuck for a little while, but then the constant sales banners, the economy that clearly favours people with credit cards, and the never-ending nudges to buy stuff started to wear me down. The summoning system is the real sore spot: I’ve pulled the same handful of champions multiple times in short order. People call it RNG — yeah, I get randomness — but when every support reply is the same shrug, “it’s RNG,” it feels like being fobbed off. There are bugs too; some small, some annoying, and support replies often read like copy-paste. I filed a couple tickets — got vague replies after weeks, sometimes months, which is frustrating. Still, I kept playing because the combat has actual depth and I stumbled onto a couple of builds that were legitimately fun. I'm honestly kind of relieved it wasn't worse — could be way more predatory — and at least there are moments that feel rewarding. So: play for a bit, see how the monetization and support sit with you, and don't be surprised if you end up tempted to spend just to stay relevant.

Still fun, but not what I expected
35 reviews
is this just another shooter with flashy bits? My hesitation was mostly about long-term value — would it stay balanced, would I feel like my time mattered — and whether the pay side would steamroll actual play. Those doubts didn’t vanish completely, but they did soften after a few weeks. The core gameplay is solid: matches are quick, the mechanics feel tight, and there’s a nice bit of strategy if you like swapping loadouts mid-round. It’s approachable too — not gruesome, so my younger cousin could join without any awkwardness, which I appreciated.

Refund request due to game crashing and loss of resources

I'm really frustrated right now, those guys running this crappy service are making me so mad. Every time I try to play the game, it crashes and I end up losing everything! It's just not fair, it feels like they're ripping me off. Like seriously, who does that? It's so annoying and disappointing.

Gameplay feedback

After playing this game for two years, I just gotta say - the bots are way too strong! It really ruins the fun and fairness of the game. I tried talking to customer support about it, but they basically brushed me off and said I just need to get better at playing. It's frustrating that they didn't seem to get where I was coming from and left me feeling pretty embarrassed. Seems like the developers care more about money than giving us a good time, since they didn't even offer anything to make up for this big problem.

Massive in-game purchase

I've been playing this game for years, putting in so much time and money into my account. It was my favorite until everything changed about a year ago. They released a big pack, but only gave it to certain players. This pack was a game-changer, giving supplies that could totally change the game. What's worse? They sold it for only $4.99 USD, and not to everyone. I felt so let down. Newer players who got this pack had an advantage over us who had been working hard to progress. It was a real slap in the face. I tried to contact customer support so many times, but they just ignored me and said they couldn't control who got the pack. I know that's not true, because Plarium decided who could have it. They could have fixed it, made things right, but they didn't. This favoritism and lack of accountability made me give up on a game I used to love.

Even though the gameplay is fun, dealing with the customer support from Plarium has been a total letdown. They just don't seem to get how important their customers are. The lack of proper support means my game issues aren't getting fixed, and instead of updates, they just keep pushing out new stuff you have to pay for.

In-game currency and character packs

As someone who has put a lot of time and money into this game, I gotta say, my experience with the company has been pretty disappointing. The game is fun and all, but when it comes to getting help with problems or bugs, reaching out to customer support is a real pain. The lack of communication and support from the team really shows they don't care much about us players. It's a shame that a company making great games doesn't seem to care about giving good customer service.

6-months of frustration

I can't believe how terrible my experience was playing this game for six months. The bugs, lags, and constant updates made it impossible to have fun. It's like all they care about is taking your money, not giving you a good gaming experience. Saying I'm disappointed doesn't even come close to how I feel.

Pay2win gaming experience

Mech Arena is honestly such a disaster of a game. I actually spent some money hoping to have a good time, but I ended up regretting every single penny. It's not just that it's clearly pay-to-win, but the way the progress system works is just all over the place. It's crazy - my buddy, who barely even plays, somehow managed to level up faster than me and our other friend who were really into it.
Getting in touch with support was a total waste of time too. They were no help at all, and didn't seem to care about our concerns. They even tried to pull a fast one on us by lying about changes to the game that we could easily prove weren't true.
Honestly, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this game unless you're into throwing your money and time away on a badly run and totally unfair gaming experience. Just not worth it, eh.
